Program

Wherever possible, they require a minimum two-week notice to book your chosen activities. They will be in contact with you once you book to ask you about your choices so they can arrange everything for you. If your booking is within two weeks, then rest assured and they will get things organized. The guide or driver is 100 percent yours and at your service. Some of your activities will be just you whilst some you will be joining other people who have also booked the same activity that day.

If there are things you would like to change, please contact them before booking and they will personalize an itinerary to suit your requirements. They believe a great holiday is not too over-organized and they do not want you to feel like you have to do anything. They will be as accommodating as possible. If you do not want to do something or want to spend more or less time somewhere, please discuss it with your guide.

Also please remember people may be waiting for you, so if you decide not to participate in something, please advise your guide as soon as possible so that he or she can contact the appropriate people. Sometimes, an activity provider will be forced to cancel an activity where the conditions are unsuitable or unsafe to proceed with the activity.

For example, sometimes when river levels get too high, it becomes unsuitable to go rafting or canyoning If an activity is canceled, they will do their best to either re-program the activity (wherever possible) or offer an alternative activity but please remember that these situations are outside of their control and part of the risk of planning outdoor activities.

Daily itinerary

Day 1: South Coast

Your first day is in South Bali with a wide range of activities to choose from, one activity for the morning and one for the afternoon. You can choose to experience

  • Surfing lesson on Kuta Beach
  • SUP (stand-up paddleboard) lesson in Jimbaran Bay
  • Sea kayak and catamaran in Sanur
  • Wakeboarding or water skiing at Bali Cable Ski Park
  • Urban cycle

Your first night is at the Bintang Bali Resort right on the beachfront in Tuban, just a short walk from Kuta Beach. Highlights of the Bintang Bali Resort are its gorgeous and extensive gardens and lawns, large swimming pool, beachfront restaurant, and all the other room and recreational facilities you would expect of a four-star resort. You may choose to have dinner at the resort, otherwise, there are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance.

Day 2: Mountain Batur, Lake Batur

At 7:30 a.m., depart Bali Bintang Hotel to arrive at rafting start points by 9:30 a.m. Choose between rafting the easier Ayung River (grade two or three rapids) or the more challenging Telaga Waja River (grade three or four rapids). Both rivers take you through some of the most stunning scenery in Bali with towering waterfalls, high cliffs, and lush river valleys along with exhilarating rapids and some calming flat water sections. The lower number or grade, the easier the rapids. Both rivers have some exciting sections for those who have not rafted much (or at all).

Lunch is included with your rafting. From 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., drive to Villa Jempana. As you come to the top of the caldera outer rim at Kintamani, you will be met by a view that you will never forget as you first look out over Mount Batur, Lake Batur, the lava flows, villages within the caldera, and towering mountains in the distance, including the mother of all Bali’s mountains, Mount Agung.

The drive time is approximately one hour and 15 minutes from Ayung River and from Tela Waja. At 2:30 p.m., arrive at Villa Jempana. Between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., get ready for some excitement as you explore the trails and lower slopes of Mount Batur on an ATV or quad bike. They think this is by far the best location for quad biking in Bali. Dinner is at Villa Jempana (included).

Day 3: Munduk Valley

In the morning, hike Mount Batur Volcano within the Kintamani Caldera. With good reason, this is the most popular hike in Bali and can easily be done with a moderate level of fitness. If the skies are clear, you will have unforgettable views of the caldera, lava flows from eruptions back in the early 1960s, Lake Batur, and Bali’s biggest mountain, Mount Agung. You can choose to do the early sunrise hike or get up a little later and do the hike around 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

If the sunrise is not important to you, they like the later hike as most of the other hikers have finished by then or are on their way back down the mountain. If you choose the early hike, you can have brunch back at Villa Jempana as part of your package. If you have breakfast and then hike, you can find somewhere on the way to Munduk for lunch. At 12:00 p.m., drive to Munduk. You will take the scenic mountain route to the north which takes about two hours and 40 minutes, arriving by about 2:30 p.m.

From 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., if you are still feeling energetic then choose between a rice fields walk or go for a mountain bike ride. Both start from the Lesong Hotel and are led by a local guide who can show you all the best places and introduce you to the local way of life. Your accommodation will be at the Lesong Hotel. Dinner is at the Lesong Hotel (included).

Day 4: Munduk - North Coast (Pemuteran)

In the morning, you can choose between canyoning (departing 7:00 a.m. from Lesong), cycling, or hiking in the Munduk area. They highly recommend that you select canyoning as your activity. They use Canyoning Bali to run this activity. They are a very professional, experienced, and safe operator that has selected the best river valleys in the Gigit area of north Bali. If you are not clear what Canyoning is, it is the process of moving through the natural environment of a canyon using various methods including walking, rappelling (abseiling) jumping, swimming, scrambling, and sliding.

It is great fun, sometimes a challenge, and puts you in close contact with your natural environment. In the afternoon, drive to Taman Sari Resort at Pemuteran, arriving by 2:00 p.m. For the late afternoon, relax, swim, snorkel in front of the hotel, and enjoy a sunset drink. Also, remember that your driver or guide is there for you if there is something else in the area you want to do. You will be staying at Taman Sari Resort. You may choose to have dinner at Taman Sari Resort or visit one of the nearby restaurants.

Day 5: North Coast (Pemuteran - Menjangan)

In the morning, snorkel Menjangan Island, one of the best dive sites in Bali with spectacular reefs and lots of interesting marine life. A boat will transfer you to the island. Simple lunch included. In the late afternoon, hike the unspoiled hills behind Pemuteran with stunning views of the west coast mountain range to the south and the Bali Sea to the north.

This hike is approximately one hour return and is a great way to end the day before you settle into your sunset drinks back at Taman Sari Resort. Dinner at La Casa Kita. An Italian restaurant with a good vibe and music on some nights, It is about a five-minute walk from Taman Sari (Included).

Day 6: North Coast back to South Coast

In the morning, if you cannot get enough of snorkeling then they can arrange further snorkeling trips for the morning nearby, otherwise, you may like to do a brief snorkel in front of the hotel and choose another activity option for the morning: cycling, hiking, try scuba, or scuba dive for certified divers.

  • Hiking: West Bali Adventures will take you hiking in the pristine and little-visited West Bali National Park, starting at 7:00 a.m. - hike time is two and a half to three hours
  • Cycling: West Bali Adventures bike tour starts at 9:00 a.m. and takes about three and a half hours. The tour travels through local villages with a focus on agricultural tourism including salt from the local lake, Arak (local clear liquor), peanuts, and coconuts.
  • Try scuba: Learn some scuba skills - try your first dive in a pool then do one open water dive in the ocean
  • Scuba (for certified divers): includes two local dives in the Pemuteran area

At 1:00 p.m., you will have lunch in Suma Restaurant. It is a traditional Javanese Joglo (wooden house) nestled into Sumberkima Hill behind Pemuteran. It is a great setting with lovely ocean views and the perfect way to finish your time on the north coast (included). Depart Suma at approximately 2:00 p.m. and back to Kuta by about 5:30 p.m.

The tour will take place in Bali, Indonesia.
