It’s no coincidence that Wavy Surf Camp chose this type of accommodation in Sagres. In fact, they looked into it closely to offer maximum relaxation and comfort, as well as getting you close to the natural environment - helping you get in touch with the natural world and break away from the monotony and noise of the city through a uniquely liberating experience and a real break.
The surf camp's objective is to offer you maximum comfort and a perfect break in lodgings totally integrated into the natural surroundings. Accommodation is in high-quality, spacious bell tents with room for up to eight people. To ensure your comfort, they will only allow two or three people in each tent or you can choose the Luxury option for more privacy.
Wavy Surf Camp Portugal offers spacious glamping tents and luxury glamping tents. The tents are decked out with an entrance carpet, a mattress base, visco-elastic mattresses, fresh bottom bedsheets, and a bedside table. You’ll also have electric light and a plug to charge your devices. On top of these, they provide luxury glamping tents wherein all you need to do is to enjoy the best luxury and comfort.
The normal glamping tents are equipped with a wooden floor, visco foam, and an undersheet. As well as these, you’ll have electric light and a plug to charge your devices. In the normal plus glamping tents, a pillow and blanket are also included. In the luxury glamping tents, also included are a mirror, a terrace with chill out area, a welcome pack, more decoration, etc.
Access to all the amenities at the camp - mini ramp skate, longboards, volleyball, ping pong, darts, chill out area, bicycles, slackline, and indoboards - is all included in the price.
Program
At Wavy Surf Camp, they organize the week for you. Every day, there will be fun activities to enjoy every moment with them. There will also be a free day, which will usually be used to enjoy other activities like kayaking, paddlesurfing trips, etc., and on one evening, the entire group will have a private DJ Party at the camp and then go out to keep party time at Sagres.

Learners’ safety is of fundamental importance to Wavy Surf Camp. This is why their groups are always small - eight people maximum. Each teacher is accompanied by an assistant to maximize safety and to guarantee as much individual attention as possible.

5 days of surf lessons
These will include two hours per day, depending on sea conditions. Surf lessons will be taught by Wavy Surf Camp Portugal's surf school partner, Algarve Surf School, the oldest school in the Algarve. Classes will take place at the best beaches depending on the weather to match the best surfing conditions in the Algarve. They will take your surfing to the highest level!
The first lesson will be spent studying the theoretical side of surfing, from where you put your feet to the different components that make up a board. This theoretical section will include the warm-up you need before getting in the water. This is a foundation part of surfing to avoid injury and also to help you do your best later.
The remaining hour will be spent exclusively on practical matters in the water; the second lesson will be spent warming up and on theory about mistakes, to conclude on the water.

12 years experienced, Wavy Surf Camp is located in the Campsite of Sagres Orbitur, situated in a marvelous natural environment inside the Natural Park of the Southwest Alentejano and Costa Vicentina of the Algarve, south of Portugal.
Sagres is the epicenter of surfing in the Algarve. Its location offers countless beaches where you can enjoy surfing 365 days of the year. Its old city has prestigious surf shops and restaurants where you can taste the best Portuguese food, and if you want to drink a cold beer or cocktail, you should not miss the nightlife in its pubs and discos, full of surf and Portuguese flavor. Wavy Surf School chose Sagres to establish their Portuguese surf camp because it offers the possibility of surfing a range of different beaches all within 15 kilometers. For beginners, Wavy Surf Camp Portugal offers top-quality Ocean Earth boards, sizes 5”6’ and 6”6’ (shortboard), or 7″0′, 7”6’, 8″0, 8″6, and 9”0’ (funboard). For people who want to improve their surfing skills, they also provide a wide variety of epoxy and fiberglass surfboards.
Wetsuits

Indoboard
Wavy Surf Camp Portugal has indoboards or balance boards. These are wooden boards that roll on a cylinder. The goal is to try and keep your balance standing on top. There’s nothing better you can do to practice your balance and therefore your surfing than practicing this activity every day.

Please book your flight to arrive at Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS). It is three hours away from the surf camp, while Faro Airport (FAO) is one hour away from the surf camp. Transfers from and to these airports are not included in the price. If you want to, Wavy Surf Camp Portugal can pick you up at Faro's airport or in Lagos for an additional cost.
Arrival by bus
From Lisbon's or Faro’s airport to Wavy Surf Camp, you can take a bus (eva-bus), which is the cheapest way to go to the camp. Shuttles from Lisbon's airport are not possible.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
