"I took my other half as a complete surprise trip for his 30th birthday and from the very first email to Surf Star, I knew I was going to book. They were so friendly and informative about what was included and couldn't do enough! I'd looked at do many other options and Surf schools and this one appeared by far the best. We were picked up from the airport and a delicious dinner had been saved for us all when we arrived at the house, which was wonderful. Every meal was fantastic and prepared fresh each day. You were able to make up your own lunches to take to the beach after a morning of surfing, which was great and the dinners each evening were just amazing and so well earned after a full day of surfing. Talking of surfing, which is why I chose the holiday, the instructors were absolutely brilliant. They did a big group warm up, which certainly got you pumped and ready to get into the sea! Then everyone was split off into their respective levels and had 2 hours of guided lesson with their instructor. They got in with the group and were as determined as you for you to succeed. I was so happy to have learnt to stand up in the first 2 days and my other half did amazing! We booked 5 days of lessons, but on one of the days, even after driving round to try and find waves, there weren't any! So they offered to take us all to Paradise Valley, which was great, as they didn't want people to miss out and genuinely wanted everyone to have a great time, which we did!! We also tried the yoga whilst we were there too and wow, that was again absolutely brilliant after a days surfing-Liz the instructor was just great! There was a camp fire organized on the beach one night and we took down some drinks whilst one of the staff played guitar. Overall I couldn't fault Surf Star Morocco and have recommended it to everyone since we returned. Whether you're a seasoned surfer or beginner like us, everyone had a great time at Surf Star and we weren't surprised that people returned year on year as they loved it so much! Needless to say, my other half had a fantastic birthday and he loved the birthday cake that was arranged for him too! Thanks everyone at Surf Star!"

"This place is simply paradise. The surf camp is situated on top of a small hill, 5 mins walking distance far from Tamraght beach. From the surf camp's terrace you have one of the most amazing views I have ever seen, with sea view one side and hills on the other. When arrived I was so impressed about how many people in the surf camp have been to this camp even 5 times! Now I know why, the whole surf camp is just awesome, from the owners, to the surf teachers, chefs, food and obviously beaches and waves. Every single person of the staff is very professional, well organized and friendly. The surf equipment is good quality and with a huge range of surf boards and nice good brand wet suits. I was very impressed about how all the surf teachers are always so committed in trying to bring every person to their next step level of surf. In general, all the services offered by this surf camp are great. Finally I wanted to thank the owners Momo and Lucie for having organized the most amazing New Years Eve party I have ever been to. Keep up the good work and see you soon!"

"I had an awesome time with these guys during a 1 week stay in early December. Everything was really well organized, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was great too. My highlight was definitely the trip we did to Imsouane, which was one of my most awesome rides of my life! Quote of the holiday was from Serin, one of their staff, who told me that even if i knew I was gonna wipe out on a wave, to drop in anyway and just go for the 2 seconds of glory! lol! Definitely intend to go back here some time soon!"

"It is the 4th time I spent a really good time here at Surf Star. Like every year, I just can talk about super nice people who stay there, the absolute friendly and perfect crew, fantastic surf guiding, delicious food from brahim and brahim. If you have been there once, I do not have to tell you about big boss Khalid he is a great person. Even if there was a change in the surf coaches, the "new" one are excellent, like Amin and Simo! "

"Surf Star is honestly a home away from home. The moment I walked into the camp I was welcomed by the friendly staff and given a hug and some food they had saved for me. "

"The entire staff was amazing! The surf instructor who worked with me for most of my stay was Ismail. I had been to a different camp a couple weeks earlier and can honestly say that I learned more from Ismail in 1 hour than I did in 3 days at the previous camp. He encourages and motivates every single person he works with in a fun and exciting way. Every day he works with each individual to improve and progress their skills. Surf Star truly has the best instructors. The food was absolutely wonderful, the yoga was fantastic and the accommodation was so clean and comfortable. The Thursday night beach bonfire and Friday night out in Agadir was also super fun, thank you to Khalid for planning fun activities and always making sure everyone is having a good time! I ended up loving Surf Star so much that I extended my stay and I am hoping to come back soon!"

"Lucie and all the gang at Surf Star Morocco have nailed this whole experience to make it everything you could want, need and hope for from a Surf/Yoga retreat. From the moment you are picked up to the airport, you get a sense of being part of the family at Surf Star, any random requests you have are dealt with quickly by the team, the Surf Instructors are on point and the food is delicious - a good mix of traditional Berber and Western food to cover all bases. Rooms are homely, bathrooms clean and functional with HOT water at ALL times. The yoga instructors and provisions are amazing, mats, bricks, belts and blankets all taken care of. Days out, nights out, massages, transport etc. all taken care of. All levels of surf taken care of, instructors are so so patient and really will you to catch the waves and work on your technique. So good, I'm already eye-balling my diary for the next trip back. :)"

As a beginner to surfing, and with little yoga practice, the sessions were directed to your ability whether beginner or advanced. I would highly recommend this place and will certainly be back in the future! Thank you to all the staff and keep doing what you are doing."

Not only the surf was amazing and the instructors did their best for all of us but also the setting and the accommodation was outstanding. There was a real sense of surf community, great diners all together and every evening a review of the photos to improve our techniques for the following day. We all had an amazing time and we are all looking forward to go back. Truly one of the best holiday i have ever had. The yoga sessions were amazing too. "I visited Surf Star for a week with my friend. We arrived into Essouria airport and got a taxi to Tamraght. (A three hour journey) Anywhere that you are welcomed by lovely staff with "come in, drop your bags and come upstairs for food before we do paperwork" has to be good. Our stay at Surf Star was nothing short of amazing! The staff are wonderful, friendly people, who cannot do enough to help you, be it at the house or the beach. They are so kind and really did go above and beyond to make sure that our stay was brilliant. Yoga classes are run twice daily, sunrise and sunset and we had a surf lesson every day in small groups. The fact that you are in a small group setting means that you get quality feedback from the instructor in the water. The kitchen team are wonderful and put an amazing spread of food for every meal. They took catering for a very sensitive Coeliac in their stride. There was no fear that I was going to go hungry during my stay! Thank you Surf Star for an amazing holiday. I have no doubt that we will be back soon. "

"I was a solo traveler looking for a good spot to practice my surfing. A friend recommended surf star to me and its the best thing she could have done. The staff were fabulous, the atmosphere so inviting and the food was incredible. If you want a friendly environment with no judgement to practice your surfing. I couldn't recommend this place more. I made some great friends in the short time I was there and within four hours of landing back in the UK I had booked my return flights and board back at surf star. Don't look back guys, just book surf star no second thoughts required."

"I just spent a week in Surf Star and absolutely loved it. I learnt so much about surfing and saw real progress in the waves I'm able to catch in a such short space of time. There is a lovely family feel in Surf Star and it attracts a friendly, interesting people. Everything is looked after! Food (delicious and local in style), surf gear (great wetsuits and many different types of boards), water, transport! The perfect holiday for someone looking to learn loads and spend time with great people. A few suggestions; Vary up the food a bit as breakfast and lunch got a little repetitive even though delicious. Have more evening activities available to guests. Evening trip to the market in Taghazout, a chance to see some Moroccan local culture, walks around local mountains."

"A family surf holiday turned into an appendix for me but the rest of the family loved it and got up surfing on first day. All staff were concerned for my well being. Instructors just great (loved our two kids) as were the staff at the Riad who were relaxed but professional. You eat and surf together which makes life social and collegiate - all sharing stories at end of each day. Food was good as were the bedrooms though if a couple only then you might end up sharing a bathroom with someone else so check this first. The Brit and Moroccan owners are definitely on to something here and so with its growing popularity reservations will become harder to secure. I cannot say enough for the local hospitality - lovely people."
