Nuno started more seriously on Bodyboarding since he was 15, in which became Vice Champion of the University National Championship in 1998 along with a degree in European Studies. Despite changing his bodyboard for a surfboard on a few occasions, the final change came only in 1999. At the same time, Nuno returned to the university and to the area that always fascinated him, sports. Today, he is one of the few academically skilled professionals in surfing: graduated in Sports Sciences with specialization in Surfing by the Faculty of Human Movement.
Bruno was born in Lisbon, in the year of 1984, but moved to Caparica at early age where he lived all his life until now. He started in boogie boarding at 7 years old and started surfing at 17 which makes already 13 years standing tall on a surfboard. Bruno is completely passionate about sports and activities connected to the ocean. His hobbies, besides surfing when he's not teaching, are diving, skateboarding, and spearfishing. He also travels the most possible searching for new places to go surfing. He went surfing in Brazil, South Africa, Cape Verde, France, Spain, Indonesia, and Azores.
Ricardo's steps in surfing started really early in the 80's, followed by the first competitions in the youth ranks since 17 years of age and competing ahead for about 15 more years both nationally and internationally. He has been considered "rookie of the year" in 1999 in the Portuguese open championship. Ricardo began to teach surfing in one of the most prestigious surf schools in the country in 2003-2004, having as students two of the best Portuguese surfers at the moment (Vasco Ribeiro and José Ferreira) and later with his own school from 2005 to 2008.
Tiago is 38 years of age and started surfing in 1987. For 10 years he competed in the youth and open national competitions and his best result was a 3rd place in the under 18 category in 1996 (Tiago Pires, the first Portuguese surfer in the World Tour, was the winner of that event). He is a certified instructor under the Portuguese Surfing Federation course which along with his 30-year practical experience gave him a more technical and in-depth view of surf coaching and methodology.
Hugo has more than 20 years of surfing experience. Hugo is the teacher that everyone wants to learn with. He is dedicated, responsible, always in a good mood and ready to start a new chat out of the water.

The surf house was perfectly clean, supernice staff and great group! Also the surf instructors were very helpful and great to be around.

We were with a good group of people so that made up for the rest of the experience. The instructors were also nice, and some were very good at helping in the surf
Surf Lisbon was the perfect choice for 10 days off work! Nuno was very kind and willing for all my needs. I could surf all day long renting the equipment even after lessons. Even if I have never tried to surf before, the instructors were patient and passionate, they gave me great advice for good spots after lessons and very nice places where to go eating. I was sorry to not stay at Surf House due to maintenance works, but I'm sure it will be for the next time. Thank you for everything and see you soon.

It was a great thing to do as part of a Lisbon stag. The guys at the school were great at communicating before our trip. They were on time and were brilliant at getting the group started and then supporting as long as we were in the water. They provide good transfers. I would definitely do it again.
I like the house so much. It is clean and greatly maintained! Located close to the beach and have all the facilities you need! but the best thing is the people that coming. Nunu and all the other instructors, they are super professional and ready to help.
I stayed at Nuno's surf house in October 2016. We had great weather and warm water for surfing and days at the beach in Caparica. The house itself is big, with spacious bathrooms, and good dining and chill spaces. The breakfasts were really good with fresh juice and coffee. I stayed in both dorm rooms, which were a good size and clean - if you're a light sleeper opt for the bunk room which is slightly quieter. Nuno's team at the beach were passionate and enthusiastic about teaching, and we got a good amount of advice and help as most days there were 6 or 7 of us per instructor. As I wasn't a total beginner, it was great to have the guys take us a bit further out to catch some green waves and learn how to get out between the big sets. If you're traveling alone, this is a great choice with fun, sociable people, and an activity to bring you all together and get you pumped.
This was a fantastic trip. The surf house itself was as expected. Clean, social guests, and good location for access to beach and Lisbon center ( great transport links by train). Where the surf house really shines is the customer service provided by Nuno and also the organization and quality of the surf instruction from the Surf House. I cannot recommend this highly enough. The surf instruction was excellent in quality and value. All transfers to the beach (with multiple drop off locations included) with good quality gear and equipment. Nuno went above and beyond in one case for me also. All in all, a great experience and hopefully we will be returning.
