You will be accommodated at Surf Inn Hermosa in a shared double, private double, and private single room occupancy basis. Beach front vacation rentals are a great spot to sit and watch your friends or family catching waves and if you choose the fully furnished studio apartments, you are just steps to the beach. All units are equipped with modern furniture, kitchens, air conditioner, hot water, cable television, and internet connection.

Program

This is a body-loving holiday that includes building your strength with CrossFit, body toning, and surf sessions. CrossFit classes are available every day except for Sunday. On Sunday, a High-Intensity Interval Training workout will be substituted. Surf Inn Hermosa’s learn to surf package is available for all levels, old or young! Daily surf lessons guarantee students will become quickly acclimated with essential surfing skills.

Your instructors are experienced surfers and will inform you with joy about safety, channels and currents, lots of personal tips to help you ride a wave, and techniques to improve your surfing. Each session starts with a surf check of the waves and conditions that day. The basics of how to control the board in the lineup, the pop-up, paddling techniques, and basic surfing etiquette will all be reviewed; and then it is into the water you go!

Location

This surf camp will be held at the Surf Inn Hermosa, situated at the heart of the action of Playa Hermosa in the district of Garabito, one of the best-surfing destinations in Central America.

  • Jaco beach, 3 kilometers - 10 minutes
  • San Jose - 1 hour and 30 minutes
  • Soccer field, 200 meters South

Food

The price includes daily breakfast and dinner. Costa Rica is blessed with tasty foods, mainly comprised of fresh vegetables and fruits, grains, fish, seafood, chicken, and meat. Typical breakfast is Gallo pinto, a rice and bean mixture with eggs and corn tortillas, and runs about 6 USD.

The typical lunch is called Casado. It can be found throughout Playa Hermosa and the Central Pacific zone. Generally, it includes white rice, black beans, fresh salad, vegetables, and a choice of fish, chicken, or meat and runs about 8 USD.

For dinner, options vary between 8 to 20 USD a plate. There are several restaurants to choose from within walking distance from the Surf Inn Hermosa. In Playa Jaco, a five-minute taxi ride, there are many international restaurants offering great food, including American, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Costa Rican, and Indian.

If you like cooking, the accommodations at the Surf Inn allow you to cook. There are tons of fresh fruits and vegetables that you can find at the local markets and you can buy fresh fish from the seafood shops in Jaco.
