Kitesurfing or kiteboarding is one extreme surface watersport that is really fun and exciting to learn! A kiteboarder harnesses the power of the wind with a large controllable power kite to be propelled across the water on a kiteboard similar to a wakeboard or a small surfboard, with or without foot straps or bindings.

Just like paragliding or flying, the learning process of kitesurfing or kiteboarding is quite involved, and normally takes around six to eight hours of one on one tuition, before you become competent enough to take your own kite out to continue the practice.

In this camp, you will learn all the basic skills from safety, trainer kite, set up, onto flying the big kite, doing body dragging, downwind. Once you can body drag downwind and upwind without crashing the kite, learned the relaunching and self-rescue, you are then ready for the board!

  • All activities are subject to availability and weather conditions
  • All participants must be able to swim, of reasonable health, and can fit in the safety apparatus (sizes are from XXS to XXL)
  • Alternative activities will be offered if the weather does not allow your chosen activity to take place

During your stay, you will receive one-on-one lessons rather than group lessons. Surf Connect Watersports Centre is allowed to take up to 20 people per group, related or not. Plus they have over 20 staff so the team can run 20 private groups at the same time if required.
