Program

You are committed to learn how to rock the wave? Whether you are an absolute beginner or you just want to improve your surfing skills, their surf lessons are tailored to your personal needs and desires.

Throughout the week, you will have a total of six surf lessons during this camp, that each runs for an hour and a half. Their certified professional surf instructor, Lorenzo, will guide you through each step of the essentials of surfing:

  • Paddling the board
  • Right pop-up
  • Balancing on the board
  • Wave selection
  • Surf etiquette
  • Surf safety
  • Ocean awareness

Beginner

Playa Guanico is the right surf spot for you: Sandy beach, no dangerous current, smooth waves, and the most important, its empty line-up! In this fun and safe environment, you can focus totally on your surfing skills without even thinking about any danger.

Firstly, the surf instructor (Lorenzo) will teach you the basics of surfing in the white foamy wave where the water reaches maximum to your chest. This way, you get familiar and comfortable with the strength of the waves. Meanwhile, he will show you the techniques of the right pop-up and how to balance on the surfboard.

After several days when you are comfortable on your surfboard, they are taking you out to the line-up. There, you are going to learn about the ocean knowledge. They will explain about the surf etiquette, how to read the wave, and how to choose the right wave.

With the support of Lorenzo, you develop your skills and catch as many waves as possible. It will be fun and you will be able to surf just in no time.

Intermediate

You already know how to pop-up and you are able to ride your green wave with confident? Then it’s time for the next level. Now your challenge is to make you ride as long as possible.

To do so, their surf instructor will lead you deeper into the surf techniques and knowledge. Furthermore, you are going to learn how to do the three basic maneuvers of surfing: Bottom turn, top turn, and cutback.

First and most important step that they are going to teach you is: How to gain speed on the wave. Only with enough speed and the corresponding strength the first maneuver can be done. To accomplish these, first your surf instructor will show you on land how to combine your agility, balance, and strength.

Later in the water, he will surf just next to you on the wave and advise you step by step.
