Accommodation
During your international surf camp in France, you’ll sleep in a bungalow tent. Brunotti only uses modern and spacious tents, so you’ll be getting a good night’s rest after a long day in the ocean. There are several accommodation options to choose from. Do you prefer a slightly more luxurious tent? Pick the ‘Glamping ‘de Luxe.’ All the bungalow tents are subject to availability.
Glamping ‘de Luxe’
This tent can accommodate one to two people. You’ll sleep on either a single or a double bed with a comfortable mattress. These tents were built on a wooden floor and are equipped with electricity, a lamp, and a cooling box.
Will you be solo traveling? In this case, you’ll sleep on a single bed and you’ll share the glamping tent with somebody who’s also solo traveling (M/M - F/F).
Bungalow ‘Standard’
This tent can accommodate one to two people. The tent is spacious enough for all of you and your friend's belongings. The tents are on a field close to the chill area of the surf camp and sanitary blocks. There is also electricity in the tent.
Will you be solo traveling? In this case, you’ll sleep on a single bed and you’ll share the bungalow with somebody who’s also solo traveling (M/M - F/F).

About the surfing
At Brunotti International Surfcamp in Vieux Boucau, there’s nothing more important than surfing! Therefore, they put a lot of focus on (the quality of) their surf lessons. You’ll experience the magic feeling that surfing is when you paddle and surf your first wave towards the beach. You’ll experience for yourself how addicting and fun surfing really is.
The surf instructors are all certified and extremely experienced in teaching surf lessons in France. Contrary to other surf camps, Brunotti only teaches in groups of a maximum of eight students. The surf lessons consist of some preparation exercises on the beach and lots of time catching waves in the water!
Free surfing
In case you got stoked after your first surf classes, your time in the water doesn’t have to end after them. Feel free to take one of the ‘free surfboards' provided by Brunotti Surfcamps and practice in the water. The use of free surfboards is included in the surf packages, so go in before or after your surf class! Important: Free surfing is only allowed when the waves and tides are favorable.
At Brunotti Surfcamp, they have the rule that for safety purposes, you must have followed at least one surf theory and lesson. The surf theory will take place on the first day of your holiday at Brunotti Surfcamp. During the theory, the surf coaches will teach you everything you’ll need to know in order to go into the water safely.
Topics like, e.g., currents, tides, equipment, and areas on the beach where you’re allowed to go free surfing will be discussed. In case of extreme conditions, it may not be possible to go free surfing. This, however, is very rare.
Theory preparation
During your surf week at Brunotti International Surfcamp, you will have an extensive surf theory lesson. This lesson will be filled with interesting need-to-knows regarding currents, waves, tides, and general safety. All the topics in theory will be covered to make sure that you’ll be good to enjoy a week full of ocean and surf, all while enjoying a cold beer.
Wetsuit
Do you not have your own wetsuit yet? No problem! You can rent a ‘shorty’ at the surf camp. This is a summer wetsuit that will be completely yours for the rest of the week and will protect you against the sun, cold, and the surfboard. You can rent a wetsuit for 20 EUR a week at the camp.
Surfboards
The choice for equipment during the surf lessons is the ‘soft top’ boards. Brunotti Surfcamps has several sizes of ‘soft tops’ that you can choose from. These boards are developed to be as forgiving as possible for the beginner surfer. It’s the perfect board for the difficult but fun learning process that surfing is, ensuring that you’ll catch your first wave within a week’s time.
They also have some hardtops in their quiver. You can pick from sizes of 9.0, 8.0, and 7.0 ft. These boards are suitable for you if you already have some experience catching waves.
Surf package A / Beginner or Surf package B / Beginner plus
Surf package A / Beginner
Do you have no surfing experience yet? Or have you already taken a few lessons but are not yet confident? Then this is most likely the perfect surf package for you! This is the perfect basis for anyone who wants to learn to surf as quickly as possible.
Before the lesson starts, you will receive a surf theory about the equipment, safety, and currents. Once you've received all the theoretical information you need to get out into the ocean, you'll hit the water with one of Brunotti Surfcamps' experienced surf instructors. The ultimate goal is to catch your first wave. You'll see that it won't take long. This surf package includes:
- 5 1.5-hour surf lessons for beginners
- 1 detailed surf theory
- Use of a surfboard during the lesson
Surf package B / Beginner plus
Have you surfed before or taken one or two surf lessons? Do you know what a leash is and understand what they mean by the take-off? Then this package is perfect for you. You’ll quickly go over the basics and focus on improving your ability to catch waves independently and achieve a smooth take-off.
This package consists of five surf lessons, and before you know it, you’ll totally be hooked on surfing again. The use of a surfboard is also included during the lesson.

With your stay at Brunotti Surfcamps comes an incredibly fun crew! They prepare your food, get the party going, organise activities, serve you icecold drinks and challenge you for a game of beach volleyball. They know their way around Vieux-Boucau and will therefore gladly accompany you to the clubs, bars and other places worth visiting in town. The crew organises a number of fun activities in addition to the daily surflessons. Location
Brunotti Surfcamps is situated in the picturesque little village of Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains. The village is well-known for its beautiful beaches, charming city center, typical French markets, and lovely restaurants and bars!
The surf camp in France breathes a relaxed, laidback surf vibe. The camp is situated less than 150 meters from a pristine beach, where sets of beautiful waves roll in daily.
Food
The meals are not included in the package price. However, if you’d like to have a meal package during your surf camp in France, you can let Brunotti Surfcamps know on the day of arrival. Payment for the meal packages will take place at the end of the week.
It’ll be up to you whether you’d like to have a meal package and if yes, which one. It’s also a possibility to let the crew know on the day itself whether you’d like to have a meal or not.

At Brunotti Surfcamp, they know all about good food. Every morning, their breakfast crew gets up early to prepare an extensive outdoor breakfast buffet for the guests, including freshly prepared coffee, tea, and fruit juices such as jus d’orange. Rise and shine!
They also prepare a delicious dinner five times a week. The daily meals are diverse, healthy, and fairly priced. Once a week, they fire up the grill for one of Brunotti’s famous barbecues.
The Brunotti Surfcamp is home to a professional chef who cooks meals with an incredible amount of passion. The chef always makes sure that there is plenty and takes all the dietary restrictions or allergies that you may have into account. No one goes hungry after a long day of catching waves!

Breakfast
The best days start with the best breakfast! At Brunotti Surfcamp, they know like no other how important it is to have a good base for a day full of sun, ocean, surf, drinks, and good times. This is why they will make sure that your day will start with a wide-ranging breakfast buffet, prepared by the breakfast crew.
Every morning, you will get to enjoy fresh French baguettes, eggs or a croissant, porridge, fresh fruit, several sweet and savory spreads, yogurts, muesli’s, and much more. No worries, Brunotti Surfcamps didn’t forget freshly prepared coffee, tea, and of course, several fruit juices such as jus d’orange.

Lunch
Between surf sessions, it’s important to refuel with a good meal. That’s why at the Brunotti Surf Camp, you can prepare your lunch during breakfast. Aluminum foil will be provided at breakfast, so you can pack your sandwiches to take with you to the beach. This way, you won’t have to leave the beach all day—convenient and budget-friendly.
Drinks
A beach holiday is incomplete without a cold drink. At Brunotti Surfcamp in France, they’ve taken this to heart and created the perfect spot to chill and have drinks. Every day at 16:00, their beach bar opens at the camp. Ice-cold drinks, summer tunes, and good company are waiting for you!
Dinner and BBQ
Every week, Brunotti Surfcamps' crew fires up the grill at their international surf camp. Year after year, the BBQ-night is one of the highlights for their guests' stay at the surf camp in France.
What to expect of their famous BBQ night? Ice-cold drinks, a variety of delicious meats (as well as vegetarian options), salads, side dishes, summer tunes, and all other things needed for a nice summer BBQ night!
Brunotti Surfcamps is, among other things, known for their delicious dinners, and that is not a coincidence. Nothing is as important as delicious food on your holiday, especially if you spend the entire day catching waves.

About the activities
There are plenty of fun things to do next to surfing at Brunotti international surf camp. Can you not get enough of the ocean? Go bodyboarding or swimming! If you’d rather stay on land, opt for a game of beach volleyball with your (new) friends. Every day, the crew establishes a volleyball court close to the Brunotti tent on the beach.
Do you prefer to just chill, enjoy the sun, and watch other people surf? In that case, the Brunotti Surfcamp tent is the place to be for you. All the guests and crew are usually hanging out there. There’s music playing and lots of good chats as well - Brunotti beach days at its best!
Fun activities during the day ask for fun activities during the night. Every night, there’s music and dancing in the party area at the camp. Drinks are flowing and good times are guaranteed.
It’s even possible to go out for those who want to go into town for a drink. Within walking distance from the camp, there’s the Cali Coba bar, which equals 100% party. Every now and then, Brunotti Surfcamps organizes a beach party. You definitely won’t get bored!

Surf yoga lessons
Surf yoga is an incredible way to prepare your body for surf lessons and days of being active in the water. Yoga classes help prevent sore muscles and are in addition to that great fun! The classes are always taught outside, either in the forest or on the beach. In this package, there are three yoga lessons included.
Day trips
On Tuesdays, one of the highlights of the week takes place: the trip to the Spanish city, San Sebastián. The city is well known for its cozy tapas bars, beautiful beaches, and diverse stores. During the trip, there’ll be plenty of time to explore the old city center, eat ice cream, or swim in the beautiful panoramic bay of the city, a favorite of Brunotti guests for many, many years.
If there’s enough interest for another trip, there’s also a possibility of going to the famous surf town of Hossegor. There, you will find a great number of surf shops and other stores, as well as famous surf outlets. The surf outlets are the perfect spot for all products and clothes related to surf, but with a huge discount!

Arrival by car
If you’d rather travel to Brunotti Surfcamp by yourself, try to arrive before 12:00 on Saturday morning. At 12:00, there’s a general introduction with all the ins- and outs of the camp and check-in!
Arrival by plane
There are flights departing from all over Europe to France. It’s best to fly to Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD) and take the train to St-Vincent-de-Tyrosse or fly to Biarritz Pays Basque Airport (BIQ). Brunotti Surfcamps can arrange pick-up for you at either one of these locations.
Arrival by train
Is traveling by train the way to go for you? This also works out perfectly fine. Make sure that your endstation is St-Vincent-de-Tyrosse and if needed, Brunotti Surfcamp can arrange a transfer for you (and your friends) from the train station to the camp (30 EUR, one way; 50 EUR, return).
Arrival by bus
Would you like to go to the Brunotti Surfcamps by bus? Look no further! They offer various bus travel options. With several departure points in the Netherlands, there will always be a stop close to you! The bus leaves on Friday afternoon and arrives at the surf camp on early Saturday morning.
Prices bus round trip from Holland / Belgium €160,00 each. Single way €115,00 each.
When you return, you’ll leave France on Saturday evening and arrive at the return point of your choosing on Sunday.
