The Family Surf Camp week includes private apartment accommodation. The private apartments are the most exclusive type of lodging that the surf camp offers. All the Private Apartments are within short walking distance to the beach and our Surf Centre. With this option, you can enjoy a totally equipped apartment just for your family, taking full advantage of a totally private setup.
Private apartments accommodation includes:
- Bed linen
- 1 set of 2 towels per person (hand and bath towels)
- Kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals
- Living room with cable TV
- Free Wi-Fi
- Cleaning every 2nd day
Program
This is a very full and intense pack with a lot of surf and fun! You will start Monday morning at 09:00 with a meeting where you will meet the team and your surf instructor. You will have 2 surf sessions per day from Monday to Friday, usually one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
Each surf session will last around 2 hours. In between the surf sessions, you will do some extras like skate sessions, video correction, tours, surf factory visit, etc.

Location
Baleal Surf Camp is located on the north end of the Peniche Peninsula, more exactly in Baleal, the surfing centre of the district. The lodges are all within a short walking distance to the beach and also useful resources such as supermarkets, restaurants, surf shops, ATM, beach bar, and surf school.
The vibe of this small town is quite relaxed and surf-focused. There are some great fish and seafood restaurants (Peniche is Portugal’s second largest fishing harbor), beaches are excellent, and nearby you can find some great day trips to the historical Medieval Óbidos village or the largest Oriental Garden in Europe, to mention a few.
Lisbon, Portugal's capital, is just 90 kilometers south. The closest airport is located there. From Lisbon, you have a highway all the way to Peniche.

No meals are included in Baleal Surf Camp. All houses have everything that you need to prepare your own meals. Also, there are a lot of restaurants close by and a supermarket around the corner if you want to buy things to cook.
There is also a beach bar, Bar do Bruno, where you can eat and not leave the beach.

Arrival by bus
Usually, all the guests arrive by bus from Lisbon airport. It’s really easy and cheap (from 2.99 EUR to 10 EUR/ticket), and the team will pick you up for free at the bus station when you arrive here in Peniche.
At least 2 different bus companies are coming directly from Lisbon to Peniche.
Arrival by shuttle
The team can also book a private shuttle if you prefer. The driver will pick you up at the airport and bring you directly to the surf Camp. This private shuttle price will cost you 130 EUR/one way only, and it needs to be paid in cash upon arrival.
If you´d like to book the private transfer, please confirm you are happy with the price, and then the team will make the reservation for you.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
