Day 1: Arrival & Welcome
Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, your personal driver will be there to welcome you and take you on a 1-hour drive to the vibrant village of Paje, where you'll be staying at Ebb & Flow—just a stone's throw from the pristine kite lagoons. After settling in, you'll meet the Aquaholics team for a friendly welcome briefing to discuss your goals and the schedule for your kitesurfing lessons. Relax, unwind, and take some time to explore your surroundings. If the wind is right, your first lesson will begin the following day.
Days 2-7: Kitesurfing Lessons & Fun
Each day, you'll dive into 1-3 hours of kitesurfing lessons, depending on the tides, wind conditions, and whether you're in a group or private lesson. With the steady trade winds and perfect conditions in Paje, you’ll quickly see progress as you learn new techniques, build your confidence, and enjoy the thrill of riding.

This course is planned across 4 days, with flexibility to extend if needed.
Whether you're a beginner or looking to advance your skills, your lessons will be tailored to your needs, so you can improve at your own pace. By the end of the week, if you've reached a confident riding level, you'll have the chance to rent gear for your last few days to enjoy some independent kitesurfing sessions. If you're still not quite there, don’t worry—Aquaholics will provide additional lessons (extra cost) to ensure you're ready to kite confidently on your own.
Island exploration & alternative activities: Zanzibar isn’t just about kitesurfing—there’s a whole island to explore! When you are not on the water, you'll have the chance to enjoy other amazing activities, like wave surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, or even a local cultural tour to immerse yourself in Zanzibar’s rich history. The team will also help you plan a sunset dhow cruise or a trip to the Jozani Forest, so you can soak in the island's beauty when you're not on the water.
Relax & Unwind
After a kitesurfing lesson or exploring, return to Ebb & Flow to unwind by the pool, enjoy a refreshing drink, or head to a local restaurant to sample some fresh seafood and local dishes. Bayu
Bayu has been teaching for us for 2 years now and has proven to be a great instructor with fantastic teaching techniques. He has many years of kiting and teaching experience and worked for other professional schools before starting at Aquaholics. You will not want to miss your chance to get on the water with him. He is also the instructor in charge of running our Downwinder Trips for independent riders.
Ismael
Ismael was one of the first Zanzibaris who learned how to kite when the sport arrived to the island. He has tought kitesurfing for almost 10 years now and is one of our most experienced instructors. He can teach in english, french and swahili and is also in charge of the entire instructor team.

The camp is conveniently located just 150 meters from the beach, with supermarkets, bars, and restaurants within easy walking distance, offering everything you need for a laid-back and enjoyable stay. For those looking to explore beyond the beach, Jozani Forest and sunset trips to Michamvi are just a short drive away, and there are plenty of smaller tours and activities in the surrounding area to make the most of your time on the island.
