La Maison Eco House-Boutique
Originally a family house, “La Maison” (“The House” in French) has been recently turned into a Green Boutique guest house. Adjacent to an amazing palm grove, and with an 8-room capacity only, you will find an intimate and tranquil vibe in this house-cocoon. La Maison is located in a hidden and enchanting corner of the best area in Mancora.
A local but cosmopolite neighborhood, far enough from the city nuisance but only six minutes walking from the main beach of Máncora (and the surf and kite spot), the yoga studio, and at the same distance from the best place to eat downtown. You will have access to a dining room, living room, terrace, and swimming pool. The price includes a consistent and nutritional breakfast, daily cleaning services, and Wi-Fi.

This is an Eco-house and they are doing their very best to reduce the carbon footprint, which means a higher cost of operation. By staying at La Maison, you can be proud of traveling eco-friendly.
Program
You can catch unbroken waves and surf it all the way. You know how to position yourself well in the lineup and paddle efficiently, but you still want to improve your technique. You can handle waves up to head-high and adapt to different conditions. You do understand surf etiquette or would be happy to know more about it. You desire to build confidence with steeper, faster waves. You would like to surf more dynamic boards.
This surf camp is for you: a personal coach will help you with technical analysis, in-water corrections, and post-session feedback. They will offer you the right surfboard depending on your skills and the conditions.
Morning:
- 06:00 - 09:00 Early surf for the intermediate surfers
- 09:30 Olympian nutritional Breakfast
Afternoon:
- Second free-surf session
- 17:30 Sunset surf, sunset beer or Kombucha
- 18:00 - 20:00 Free time/gathering at the camp
- 20:00 - 22:00 Dinner, games, talk, read, or go out to party!

Axel Natali
Axel is part of the Cabrinha Kiteboarding Peruvian team, IKO certified kite instructor and your gentle host. After he worked 3 years for the America’s Cup and quite a lot of travelling, Axel arrived in Peru in 2008 and never came back.
Location
Algae Surf Camp is based in Máncora. Formerly (and still) a fisherman's village, Máncora also became a sunny halt for international backpackers and surfers. All around Máncora, the Peruvian north shore provides a wide variety of secret and untouched places, virgin surf and kite spots, and a surprising semi-equatorial ecosystem when you go inland.

Arrival by airplane
There is a new airport in Mancora: (Punta Sal) operated by Atsa airlines, but only a couple of days per week. Check their flights online. Or arrange your flight to arrive at Talara, Tumbes, or Piura. Mancora is 10 minutes from Capitán FAP Víctor Montes Arias International Airport (TYL), 1 hours and 10 minutes from Talara, 1 hours and 45 minutes away from Tumbes, and 2 and a half hours away from Piura.
Arrival by taxi
Once you have arranged your flights, let us know the details and Wild Kite Peru will send you a taxi to pick you up. If you have an internet connection, they will ask you to confirm the flight when you're at the airport.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
