Program
The windsurf center
Enjoy your windsurfing holiday in beautiful Rhodes, Greece. The windsurf center is located right on the main beach of one of the best spots for windsurfing in Europe. They offer the latest equipment with more than 70 sails and 50 boards from JP and Neilpryde in sizes that will suit every level or rider. In addition, you will find music, Wi-Fi, shadow areas, sun loungers, and showers. Wetsuits, harnesses, and helmets are also available and included in the package.
The wind and the conditions
The spot in the middle of Ixia Bay delivers great conditions from April to October. The wind usually starts calm in the morning, which makes it suitable for beginners. At midday, the wind picks up and gives great conditions for the advanced riders. This wind system is called the Meltemi and makes the spot ideal for every level of rider.
The coaching
Surfers Paradise chooses to teach in smaller groups of 1-3 persons to improve attention to detail and quality when coaching. Whether a complete beginner or intermediate, they will find the best way for you to progress. In addition, you will get to try out the latest equipment on the market to further enhance your learning.
The program
The schedule will be adapted to your needs. You will have 4 days of coaching in this package (4 sessions). In case you want/need more lessons, you can easily add some on-site.
- One beginner coaching session lasts 1.5 hours for one student and 2 hours if you are two students.
- The intermediate sessions last 1 hour.
Every participant gets 7 days of unlimited use of windsurfing equipment to practice in between the lessons. The equipment can be used from 10:00 to 19:00.
Guests have quite flexible days, as the lessons are to be scheduled upon request between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; therefore, whatever free time remains is to be handled by guests themselves. Needless to say, there are lots of things to be seen and/or done on the island.

This surf camp will take place on beach Ixia on the island of Rhodes, Greece. The spot has the advantage of reliable side shore winds in combination with warm blue waters and nice chop hop conditions. With calm mornings and strong afternoons, there is plenty of time for everyone to have fun. Surfers Paradise occupies a unique spot in the middle of Ixia bay which is one of the best side-onshore spots in the world. You will be staying in Caravel Hotel which is a charming three-star hotel conveniently located at the beautiful Ixia bay, only four kilometers away from Rhodes town and nine kilometers from Rhodes International Airport (RHO).

From Rhodes International Airport (RHO)’s bus stop, you can take every bus that goes to Rhodes town. Ask the bus driver to get down at the Ixia area, at the bus stop “Miramare Hotel.” Caravel Hotel is 100 meters from that bus stop (towards Rhodes town).
Arrival by taxi
Taxi from Rhodes International Airport (RHO) to the hotel will cost about 25 EUR one way.
