Our shallow entry area, paired with a sufficiently deep drop-off, will allow you a pleasant water start and quick success in wing foiling. One advantage of the wing-foiling material is that it generally takes up very little space and its structure and handling are very user-friendly and travel-friendly.
The latest and newest equipment from Slingshot awaits you for rental and for training courses of all skill levels. About 10 boards and 25 wings between 3 and 6 square meters are waiting to be tested by you. Whether you are a newcomer to water sports or an experienced windsurfer or kiter; we cater to your previous knowledge on a very individual basis.
Storage for your equipment
There is also large, lockable storage boxes on the beach for you to store your own personal belongings and equipment. Toilets, a freshwater shower, and washing areas for the equipment are available to you free of charge, as is a chill-out area, Wi-Fi, and several compressors for pumping the wings. In cooperation with Billy's Place, they also offer hot and cold meals and drinks, which you can then best enjoy in the hammocks, the chill-out area, or on the sun loungers.
Wind conditions at the spot
The Meltemi blows at 2-3 Bft. in the morning, making it ideal for beginner wing foilers. When you begin, you can try to get a feel for the wing with the large SUP boards without using foil. Anyone who has already foiled with a kite or surfboard will notice relatively quick success. In the afternoon the wind is 5-6 Bft., when the first whitecaps start to appear and slight waveforms, so newcomers and experts get their money's worth.
Towards the evening, a wave arises on the sandbank about 30 meters from the shore, which can be comfortably ridden with the foil or which professional wing-foilers can use to jump. Additionally, you can enjoy the whole thing comfortably in board shorts from the beginning of June to October.
During the off-season, (April and October) the spot offers you not only reduced prices but also very special highlights; such as when the Tramontana blows over from Turkey to you, the waves can even be 2 meters high on the sandbank, the wind then comes with up to 8 Bft. with a more onshore rather than sideshore direction. The conditions are then more difficult and no longer recommended for beginners.
