Sumatra Surf Resort is a locally designed and purpose purpose-built accommodation. To keep the natural beauty of the environment the bungalows are typical Indonesian themed, but with a Western style fit out. The surf resort features 14 twin-shared bungalows. Each bungalow can be reconfigured into triple share or fitted with a queen size bed to cater for couples. Based on a twin share configuration, Sumatra Surf Resort can accommodate up to 28 guests comfortably.
Each bungalow features air conditioning, western style bathrooms with hot water showers, mosquito nets, power sockets, king single beds, bedside tables and wardrobe, linen, pillows, bath towels supplied and changed regularly, individually controlled fans, large covered veranda with outdoor setting, laundry service, and the longest left in the area at your doorstep. Each room is lockable. Although secure, Sumatra Surf Resort has 24-hour security patrolling the grounds to keep all the gear safe .
Facilities
The centerpiece of Sumatra Surf Resort is the 500-square meter “Warung”, nestled among towering coconut palms to keep things nice and cool. The Warung is home to the office, kitchen, and restaurant. It also features an entertainment area with pool table and poker table, chills zone to relax and unwind, two large satellite TVs to keep you up to date on news and sport, plus a large bar to enjoy cold drinks which are always plentiful. Free Wi-Fi is available within the Warung. Walking through the shade covered grounds towards the beach is the swimming pool and beach deck perfect for relaxing and watching the sun set.

Too crowded where you are? Don’t like big groups? Then come on over! There is an endless choice of quality breaks along our coast. Besides the left out front, you can choose from barreling lefts and rights like Way Jambu 15 minutes South or Jenny’s right about an hour North, softer reef breaks like Krui Left 20 minutes North, as well as endless beach breaks like Mandiri Beach 15 minutes away.

Location
Sumatra Surf Resort is one of the newest surf resort’s to open in West Lampung, situated 30 kilometers from Krui at Tanjung Setia. Sumatra Surf Resort faces the longest and best left-handed reef break in the region, Ujung Bocor on the point of Tanjung Setia in South Sumatra. It ranges in scope from heavy dredging barrels to long carveable down the line performance walls with rides in excess of 200 meters. Ujung Bocur is extremely consistent and handles large swells well.
In addition, the sheer length of the wave spreads out almost any crowd.The surf on Sumatra’s southern coast has something for everyone. From grommies to seasoned pros, from reef breaks to beachies Krui’s surf region is wide and varied, and Sumatra Surf Resort is within easy reach of them all.

This package includes three meals and unlimited tea / coffee. Good healthy food and plenty of it are essential to keep you fueled up for a day on the water. Sumatra Surf Resort provides three meals a day and no sparrow sized servings here. Sumatra Surf Resort can cater for vegans and vegetarians. If you have any special dietary requests please let us know.
The menu is full of variety and is a mixture of classic Indonesian and Western dishes. Sometimes Sumatra Surf Resort will throw on a theme night like pizza, pasta or BBQ nights. If you need a feed outside of meal times then a bar snack menu is available to purchase from.

Flights from Jakarta to Bandar Lampung start at 6:30 a.m. through to 8:30 p.m. You can choose to fly with Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air or Sriwijaya Air. Sumatra Surf Resort would recommend flying with Garuda as boards are included in your luggage allowance.The flight to Lampung is about 35 minutes. At the Airport, Sumatra Surf Resort can pick you up and bring you down to the camp. The cost for the car trip Airport-Krui-Airport is 200 USD per car. Cars are air conditioned and seat four passengers. Sumatra Surf Resort always try to get guests to share the cost. Wings Air have a flight from Lampung to Kui.This flight currently only goes on a Monday. Leaves Lampung at 9:15 a.m. and arrives at Krui at 9:45 a.m., then goes back to Lampung at 10:15 a.m.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
