Accommodation
The camp is located in the campsite "La Grigne" in Le Porge Ocean.
Tent
The accommodation will be for two in a 3-person tent (shared tent), shaded and located near the beautiful Porge beach. The tents are set up before your arrival, all you have to do is bring your duvet and pillow!
Kitchen
The large kitchen tent is located in the center of the surf camp. It is fully equipped, you will find everything you need (refrigerators, gas stove, electric hob, coffee maker, crockery, etc.). They set up tables near the kitchen tent to eat together outside; in case of bad weather, the tent is big enough to eat inside.

Program
Surfing activity with So Nice Surf School
The meeting point for the surf lessons is at the surf school, located about 15 minutes walk from the surf camp through a pleasant shaded path. After having been equipped with your teacher, you will cross the dune and will go to the best spot, to practice in the optimum conditions of safety.
You will have access to adapted and quality surfing equipment (boards and wetsuits renewed regularly) during lessons, and also available to practice independently outside of lessons 2 hours/day.
Fun
Surfing is above all a fun experience. No point in bragging! Everyone can enjoy surfing at his own level in a friendly atmosphere. And if it’s the first time for you, all is good. With So Nice Family you will have fun.
Security
Surfing is good. Surfing safely is better. At So Nice Surf School, they do not skimp on the safety of their surfers! Their instructors are all qualified and renew each year their first aid diploma. They make sure to be present in the water as much as possible to help.

Program
Sunday
Arrival from 17:30 at the surf camp
Settle into your tents, followed by a welcome drink and presentation of the surf camp with James at around 19:00. It's suggested that everyone brings a simple dish to share so that you can have your first dinner together, potluck style, and get to know each other.
Monday to Wednesday
You will have 1 surf lesson per day
In your free time, you will have the opportunity to surf on your own, chill out at the camp, play beach volleyball, play games or explore the surrounding area
To end the day on a high note: drinks and/or sunset at the beach
Thursday
You will have 1 surf lesson in the morning
The tent must be vacated by 11:30
Instructors
James
With state accreditations in surf teaching and swim teaching, James has more than 15 years of experience and solid teaching methods. Kids or adults, he knows how to make everyone feel good with a good sense of humor. The legend says that his humor would have pedagogical virtues: The Apprentice surfers would progress at lightning speed thanks to him!
Seb
Seb and his surfing secrets will make you love it, and above all, will undoubtedly make you progress. Because if he loves messing around and sleeping around, his little Marseille side, he is a keen observer, who will know how to give you the keys to unlock your surfing skills!
Steve
If Steve’s personality had to be summed up in a few words, it would be: “There are no problems, only solutions”. His legendary zenitude and optimism don’t need to be proven. He joined the So Nice team 4 years ago, and knows the Porge spot and waves perfectly, to live there all year round.

The surf camp is nestled in a pine forest just a short walk from the ocean. During your free time, you’ll be able to:
- Walk through the woods to reach the surf spot (around 10 minutes)

- Make use of the campsite’s sports facilities (volleyball, tennis, table tennis, basketball)
- Rent a bike directly from the campsite (with a 10% discount for surf camp participants) and explore the stunning cycling paths that wind through the forest and toward the coast

Arrival by train and bus
The nearest SNCF train station is Bordeaux Saint-Jean. There are several options available from Bordeaux St Jean station. You can take:
- The 421 bus towards Lacanau at 5:55 p.m., arriving at 7:26 p.m. (Lacanau ville stop)
- The bus 410 towards Arès/Lège at 3:40 p.m., arriving at 5:35 p.m., or at 5:40 p.m., arriving at 7:30 p.m. (Arès-Lège PEI stop).
In both cases, So Nice Surf School can pick you up for free :)
(One way: 2.50 EUR, round trip: 4 EUR).
Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD). The easiest option is to take tram A from the airport and get off at the ‘Soleil’ or ‘Les Quatre Chemins’ stop. From there, you can take bus 410 towards Arès-Lège and get off at the ‘Arès-Lège PEI’ stop. So Nice Surf School can pick you up at the bus stop fo free :)
The best thing, if you come by train or plane to Bordeaux, is to let So Nice Surf School know, so that you can see together what will be the best option.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
