Ranchos Itaúna is a stylish hotel and restaurant located on the beach between the best surf brakes of Santa Teresa.
Program
On arrival day, you will receive a welcome drink in our beachfront rest. The next day, you will get a nice breakfast and then we go, depending on tide and swell direction, to the beach break where you will get your first surf lesson. Afterwards, people can rest in our beachfront rest. In a hammock or in our sofas. The afternoon is free, you can use the boards and can practice on there on your own. We repeat the same schedule for 3 days then you will get a one day break.
On the 5th day, you can choose in between a relaxing massage or a canopy tour. Students are free to do what they want for the rest of the day. They can check out the village, they can do a yoga class or even a trip to Tortuga island. You also can rent an ATV and check out Playa Hermosa, Manzanillo or go to the cascades in Montezuma or you can also go and visit Cabo Blanco Natural Reserve in Cabuya. We can arrange that all from our place. The next day, you will have your last surf lesson. If you feel that you still want more lessons any time you can book more at our camp !!
Clients can hang out in our chill rancho where we have a smart TV or the best place to rest when it gets hot is definitley the hammock at the beach. We have certain events like our famous Deep Tuesday where the town gathers before sunset and watches the amazing fire show and people dance to the beats of the DJs. Also we have a family Sunday and a Latin night, and different events. We are right in the middle of town close to supermarket shops rest and bars. Also we have the best low tide swimming spot in front of our property.
Included excursions
Canopy Tour in Mal Pais
The tour takes 1 hour where you will glide through the roof tops of the jungle. You will be picked up at your place and drop you off afterwards at Ranchos Itaúna again.
You also can see the coast line from up there, it delivers a stunning view. Also, you will see the Mal Pais fishing village where you could buy some fresh caught fish or lobster.

Palomillo
Palomillo is one of the longest teachers in town. He is a Tico, who speaks english and spanish and has worked with us for many years and thought hundreds of people how to surf. ISA certified instructor !! He will chose the perfect beach, tide and waves for you to catch and he will watch you during the surf lesson and make sure that every one comes back happy !!
Location
Playa Carmen, Playa Santa Teresa and Playa Hermosa are the well known surf spots in the area, waves of all kinds wash the shore. Rancho Itauna are located in the middle of the two most important spots. You can check the waves and go walking from our hotel to your next adventure in minutes.
Rancho Itauna is only five minutes walking distance to the main surf breaks.

Arrival by bus
You can come to St. Teresa by direct bus from S.J, shuttle service or flying. The bus is the cheapest solution, but a 7 hour trip. The shuttle takes around 5-6 hours, 55 USD. The flight is 20 minutes to Tambor and then you need to come by taxi or we can pick you up for additional cost(50 to 100 USD )
