I had a wonderful time at this surf camp. It is located very close to the surfing points and all the necessary commerce, as well as cafés/fast food joints. The surf lessons were obviously a highlight, since I came only for it and boy oh boy, they haven't disappointed. Both Mohammeds and Karim were on the top of their games. They provided extremely valuable tips and helped me to progress with my surfing skills. I loved our sessions. Our dinners were simply amazing. The chef would always cook fresh Moroccan dishes that introduced me to the wonders of the local cuisine.

Just came back from a week in Paddle out Morocco surf camp in Tamraght and I recommend this place 100%!!! The place is really nice, with a beautiful rooftop. The people in here are so kind! Yassine is always here to help and find solutions to everything to help you. Zakaria the best cook who cooks you the best meals. Redouane, Anouare, Karim and Mohamed, the surf instructor are the best, and also here to help you for anything. You can go to extra activities that really worth it, paradise valley, sandboarding! Just go :) you won’t regret it

A wonderful holiday. Tamaraght is a beautiful and relaxing destination.

The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. I enjoyed exploring, trying local food (the food at the hostel is delicious!!), and spending time unwinding.

The friendly locals made the experience even better. Overall, it was a great trip that left me feeling happy and refreshed. Highly recommended!

The best thing about this retreat was the incredible sense of care and community that flowed through every part of the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome—they were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, which made the whole stay feel more like being part of a family than just a guest in a hostel.

The food was another highlight. Having all meals included made everything so easy and enjoyable, and every dish was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. One of my favorite moments was having lunch brought directly to the beach after a surf session there’s nothing better than relaxing in the sun with great food after being in the ocean.

Between the amazing meals, the supportive and kind team, and the relaxed, social atmosphere, this retreat created a perfect balance of adventure and comfort. It truly felt like a little community where everyone belonged.

Amazing place with great energy!

If you’re looking for a relaxed spot to try surfing, this is the perfect place. The hostel is located in the center of Tamraght, surrounded by plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops. There’s a cool chill-out area on the terrace where we spent most of our free time.

The food was always delicious, with more than enough at every meal. The instructors chose the surf spot each day based on the best conditions, which allowed us to discover several different beaches.

The people running the place are super friendly and always ready for adjustments. If you have any idea just share with them and they will be more than eager to help you ;)

Connecting to people and spend a week together. Everyone has one common goal: improve surfing skills and you live together basically. Amazing experience!

Such a fantastic retreat! We had Ayoub as a surf instructor and he was so attentive and remembered each of us and what we needed to work on. The guys who run the camp are all so sweet and will help with anything you need. The food was always amazing, the location is close to everything, and the yoga instructor is also fantastic! I will absolutely come back. Couldn’t not recommend more!

Easy to describe the experience, with just one word: Family! That is how I felt for the week I spent here, delicious food, great environment, best people!

Alle Jungs im Camp sind sehr nett, kümmern sich um einen und sind aufmerksam.

Die Surflehrer sind sehr geduldig, gehen auf jeden einzelnen ein und es ist kein Problem, ob man Anfänger oder Fortgeschrittener ist. Wenn man mal keine Lust auf Surfen hat, ist das auch kein Problem. Frühstück und Abendessen gibt’s im Hostel, am Mittag gibt es am Strand immer Essen. Außerdem wird sehr genau auf Allergien und Ernährungsweisen geachtet.

What an amazing trip! I came here to skip Christmas and keep busy and it was perfect for that!

The surfing was great, we went out every day regardless of weather (if we wanted to) which I loved, visited different beaches each time which was cool to mix things up.

We loved the food so much, incredible home cooked food by Ilyas, we actually enjoyed the food at the hostel more than when we ate out! Dinner with everyone at the camp was cute and cosy around the table together 🩷

The accommodation is basic but still very comfortable!

Great food, surf teachers, people at the camp and Taghazout is the cutest village to explore and so many lovely sunsets! Thank you for an amazing stay 🩷

I was the first time in Marocco and had the best experience I ever could have thank to the guys from paddle out. Everybody was nice, helpful and tried to make the best and most wonderfull time for everybody. Thank you so much Haitam, Spyka, Mohamed, Ilyas, Zakaria, Said, Anouare and everybody else for this unforgettable journey my brothers from another mothers🫶🏽want to visit you as soon as possible 👏🏽. I highly recommend everyone to visit this place and stay in paddle out for a great time.

We were located at the Taghazout hostel "Sunny Waves", and warmly welcomed by Mohammed ("Rastos", super attentive to our needs and very accommodating!), Ilyas (not only super nice but also the greatest and most efficient cook ever, we already miss his tajines!), Laura (so nice and helpful!) and Anouare (super friendly!). We loved our stay, we would definitely come back to this hostel: its communal meals and common areas make it a great place to make new friends, it is super well located in Taghazout and it is so cool for such a cheap price. We miss it already!

Fantastic stay at Sunny Wave Surf Camp in Taghazout. Everything was great - from the warm and friendly atmosphere to the fun surf sessions. It’s the perfect place to enjoy surf holidays without ever needing to look at the clock. Things run on a relaxed rhythm, which fits the vibe perfectly. The team is welcoming, the ambience is easygoing, and the whole experience feels natural and carefree.

We had a great time at the Sunny Wave hostel! The food was amazing - it changed every day and was delicious, traditional morrocan dishes. The surfing lessons were great, with some time with the instructor and some alone surfing time for practice. Apart from that, there was yoga every day - in the morning or in the evening. It was done by an amazing instructor. We also did the trip to Imsouane and the dunes, i would recommend doing it! Last but most important - the staff were the nicest people, always helpful and with a positive attitude - it really felt like home and leaving was very hard. Thank you Sunny Wave for the best week!

Me and my mum had the best week at sunny wave! We loved the surfing and the trips. The surf instructors and hosts were so attentive and helpful and some of the kindest people we have come across traveling. The food was great, and they were very accommodating to my vegan diet. The yoga classes were always amazing on the roof terrace. The overall vibe of the hostel was so friendly and we enjoyed making new friends over meals and on the beach. We were so sad to leave!

Lo mejor es la comida y el ambiente que hay! Siempre intentan hacer actividades y te sientes como en casa :) Siempre intentando darte facilidades para todo. Mejor imposible.

Lovely rooftop, good vibes and nice people. Food was really nice most of the time especially breakfast the msemen and amlou is amazing. Was nice to get pasta for lunch and biscuits on the beach too. Met loads of nice people mainly solo travellers which was perfect for me. The rooftop was the best part of the hostel amazing panoramic sea view. All of the workers were so nice, friendly and funny and good vibes. The meals felt like having family dinner as everyone sits at the table together. Ayoub and Saeed were the most helpful surf instructors always making sure to take people out the water and practice standing up on the board on the beach before going back out if they were struggling. Definitely go to the skatepark it is the best view especially at sunset but it is a very steep hike up and quite difficult to walk up and down so trainers definitely needed. It was really nice to have one night out at the hilton beach club as well but no one mentioned the transport and entrance fee which would have been helpful

We loved everything!! All the hosts and surf instructors were so incredibly kind and considerate. They really thought of everything, down to the tiniest detail, to make our experience as incredible as it was (from providing all the food, surf equipment, transportation to the best beaches, shadow!:p). Era una semana bien planeada con aproximadamente un mitad del día en clases del surf y las tardes con suficiente tiempo para hacer todo lo que quieres como explorar o hacer un viaje al desierto. Un buen sistema si trabajas remoto también. Los instructores/el chef/el conductor era una buena vibra todo la semana. Aprendimos mucho todos. La comida era deliciosa.

Everyone went above and beyond for the group to have a great time - felt super safe and relaxed and had fun with all of the staff and instructors - truly made us feel like we were part of the family

This surfcamp is the perfect place for anyone who wants to experience an amazing surf trip, hang out, and meet new people. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious with plenty of variety. Everyone there is super nice and welcoming, making every day a great experience , both surfing and spending time together. I would definitely recommend this surfcamp without a doubt, and I’ll for sure be coming back!!

The guys who run this hostel are really very helpful, young and ready to let you have fun and live the time spent here a little carefree.

The staff, the instructors, the food were all amazing. Definitely recommend ear plugs or just close the windows at night to get a good nights sleep due to dogs, chickens and goats making random noises throughout the night.

Everything went smoothly. Good surf instructors who know how to teach you. We went different beaches depending on the waves. They bring us lunch at the beach every day. At the hostel (Sunny Wave) breakfast and dinner were healthy, versatile and always delicious! (And did not get food poisoning!)

After surfing i slept so well! Anyway I recommend bringing earplugs since there might be some animals outside making noices. Otherwise shared dorm was nice and calm. Everyone had own locker. Rooftop was the place for hanging out together.

Ce séjour a été incroyable du début à la fin. La nourriture était exceptionnelle, variée et préparée avec soin, un immense merci à Ayoub pour sa cuisine généreuse et pleine de saveurs, chaque repas était un vrai moment de bonheur !

Les cours de surf étaient super fun et parfaitement adaptés aux débutants : les profs expliquent avec patience, aident constamment et vous encouragent à progresser à votre rythme.

L’ambiance est ce qui rend ce lieu unique : l’équipe est au top, toujours souriante, bienveillante et prête à aider. Même en voyageant seule, j’ai rencontré des solo travellers venus des quatre coins du monde, et on a vite formé un petit groupe incroyable. C’est vraiment le parfait endroit pour se ressourcer, partager de bons moments et repartir avec des souvenirs inoubliables.

The food, the location, the price, the instructors, the people! I loved the experience and would do it all over again. I went solo and am so glad I did as I met so many amazing people. The food was incredible and such generous portions. The surf instructors were so patient and really helped us all! I will be back!

I had an absolutely amazing week at Sunny Wave! From the moment I arrived, everyone was so warm and welcoming. The food every night was delicious, and the whole team made sure we had everything we needed.

A special shoutout to Anouar for the surf lessons and all the laughs along the way. The daily yoga classes were amazing too — the perfect way to end a day on the waves. The group I met there was incredible; spending a week together felt like having a little family by the ocean.

I had an incredible experience in Taghazout! The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of Sunny Wave made it so easy to feel at home right from the start, the food there was also amazing. Probably the best hostel experience yet. I would recommend a stay at sunny waves to anyone excited to learn how to surf and explore the areas around Taghazout.

Paddle out retreat is a must stay! The yoga is eye opening and the instructor is so knowledgable, the food is 10/10, surfing is challenging but so much fun, the location has everything you need and is only a short taxi ride into tagazout (beautiful!!). But what made the trip most of all was the people; the locals, the other residents in the hostel and most of all the dedicated staff/ instructors. Everyone was welcoming, caring and patient with a little (good) crazy on the side- so glad to have spent the time I did with everybody! I have never been surrounded by such caring and genuine people that make you feel part of a little family. I am also a solo female traveller and I have never felt more safe in a country than I have in Morocco.

The experience was so magical, the whole staff is so friendly and accommodating. Mohammed is a great surf instructor, he just lets you go at your own pace and teaches you how to better yourself. Yassine is a great cook and so friendly that anything you request from him he will give it to you.

The amount of time surfing was excellent as we had lessons in the morning followed by at least 2hrs of free time to surf in the afternoon. The staff and instructors were so kind, energetic and supportive and would go the extra mile to make sure you have a good surf and comfortable stay. Felt like we were all part of a family:) Had a day trip to Imsouane and the sand dunes but also went to the markets in Agadir one afternoon. Food was sooooo tasty and was perfect after a long day of surfing.

Spyka greeted us at every moment with excitement and a contagious smile, and cooked the most delicious food in the world.

The rest of the team matched that same incredible energy: genuine, caring, and warm people.

Die ganze Atmosphäre in dem schönen Camp und die entspannte Art und Weise Surfen zu lernen. Die Ausflüge waren ebenfalls sehr schön. Das Beste war das Essen!

The surf lessons were fantastic, the surf camp itself is set up perfectly allowing you to improve with tailored instruction to your ability whilst also allowing you to see the gorgeous area surrounding Tamraght. The food, activities and accommodation were all perfect and really good value, in my opinion.

As soon as I arrived I felt so welcomed by everyone that works there and left wishing I could stay another week. I could not recommend a trip more!!

This was the best surf camp I ever visited. I first booked it for 1 week, but ended up extending it two more weeks! The hosts are just the nicest people ever! Special thanks to Spyka, Mohamed, Omar and Anouar!

The typical Moroccan food, prepared by the staff themselves everyday, was amazing!

Sometimes things aren't very strictly planned or on time, but I liked this step away from my usual fully planned and stressed day-to-day life back in the Netherlands. You just "go with the flow" everyday ;)

They're also happy to take you on day trips to the beautiful Paradise Valley or the Souks of Agadir or even a sandboarding and bonfire trip to Timlalin on a day the waves are less good.

I can't wait to go back to Tamraght!

The best holiday I've had in a long time, the hostel is super chill and the people working there are so lovely! Special shout out to Mohammed for being so patient on the surf board, Spyka for being a great driver and gorgeous human being and omar for the incredible food to name a few.

The place is really clean and peaceful. But what makes this surfcamp unique is the atmosphere. You would be able to know the local culture and at the same time get involved with an international group of people who's also traveling. Thank you so much to all of you, specially Omar, which cooked for all of us amazing Moroccan food.

Spyka war ein sehr toller Host. Wir hatten echt viel Spaß und haben echt tolle Menschen kennengelernt. Die Surflehrer Koko und Samado haben wir das Surfen sehr gut vermittelt und uns Lust gemacht weiterhin zu surfen.

Das Essen war auch sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich.

That was the best well-spent holidays. Yes Morocco is cheap overall but its hard to find a retreat place that combines great food and good activities. Every day there will be surfing, yoga or an activity. The surf lessons are good and focused on beginners so if you need guidance they are there to help. The other guests were all super friendly and we made friends. The food is homemade and its yummy! Also sunset on the terrace is spot on. The most important thing is that the team that organises Paddle Out are all so nice and so welcoming, they always tried to accommodate any requests. Thank you for everything and i hope to be back soon!!💙

Everything was awesome, premises were clean food was lit, staff was more than welcoming and made me feel at home on day 1. I can't thank them enough for the support and arrangements they've made to suit all our needs as a group. As a beginner I was worried but the instructors were very patient with me and made it a point to stay by my side when I needed it the most. I'm already missing this place and I highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience a homy vibe, and just unwind completely. I'll definitely be back!

All the staff was very friendly, even when the English was not good enough. I will miss you all, Mehdi, Yassin, Haidar, Nadir. And Omar is the best, he deffinetly deserves better in his life. The program was not perfectly punctualy was who cares. We are not in army camp right. Sometimes they try to fit more people than the seats into the car and even that was very funy. I enjoyed from every moment. Thank you all, will try to comeback.

In short, everything. Had a fantastic experience with the instructors and coordinators alike! Home cooked meals were good star quality, Omar is an incredible cook. The surfing was great, they would take us to the location with the best surf for the day. And when surfing wasn’t good, we’d to little field trips. They took us to Paradisr Valley on Christmas Day which was just gorgeous!

It’s a cozy hostel, a little bit in the town away from the sea but still with nice views. The rooms are clean and nice. The food is local and also really tasty. The staff always happy, smiling and helpful. Once a week they also organize cool trips. Tamraght is a nice place for beginner surfers so we were also enjoying the waves very much.
