All accommodation includes private rooms with housekeeping, coffee, drinkable bottled water, Wi-Fi, AC, a nice common area and a pool. Most of the units are set in the form of small private apartments with fully equipped kitchens, sitting areas and/or terrace. For suites without private kitchens in La Barca, a nice, big and clean common kitchen is provided.

Surfing program
Surf lessons
There will be two hours of semi-private tuition (up to two students per instructor) covering both theory and practice and on an ample schedule every day of the week from Monday to Saturday. Surf lessons are conducted by professional and experienced instructors, both in English and Spanish and for all levels and ages. The weekly package includes five surf lessons per person.
Surf theory class
This will be your first contact with surfing before you get into the water. This one-hour class is focused mainly on ocean knowledge, safety, and basic surfing technique. The experienced instructors will teach you the basics of surfing in the classroom and on land before heading out into the surf to catch some waves.
Top-quality equipment and transportation
Hand and heart-made Roger Ramirez surfboards and a school rash guard is included during all your lessons. All material is sponsored by the professional surf brand, Volcom. Transportation from the school to the beach with the best-learning conditions of the day is also included.
Photo session
Each week, the school will take a photographer to record a morning surf session. All of the material captured will be used for the Friday coaching class and given, free of cost, to each student. You just need to bring a USB memory card.
Free coaching session
Every Friday evening, students and instructors will gather at Cafe Nopal to view the pictures of the previous days. Surf instructors will make the proper corrections to each student and give useful tips in order to keep progressing in their surfing skills. These sessions are supervised by Roger Ramirez. Students will participate in a group review in order to benefit from the best orientation and analysis about their evolution as a surfer.
Fitness classes
Specifically designed to enhance your surfing performance and gain general fitness, classes are conducted by a professional instructor and adapted to all levels and ages. The package offers six classes per week (4 evening classes + 2 morning classes).
Valid certificate
A school diploma level stating your board size, visited spots, gained skills, and final level attained will close-up your program and certify your progress.

Spanish lessons
There will be private tuitions (two students in the class) from 1.5 hours (regular course) to three hours (Intensive course) of tuition per day on an ample schedule from Monday to Friday. Oasis teachers are professionally-certified and native Spanish speakers.
Learning material
Each student will receive a workbook from the school according to their specific level, specially designed and produced by Oasis in-house expertise. From placement tests to listening, reading, writing and speaking exercises, the overall content of the lessons are individually-tailored to better reach your goals.
Valid certificate
A school diploma level stating the number of lessons, hours, and level attained will close-up your program and certify your progress.

Roger Ramirez
Co-founder and Manager of Oasis Surf & Language School, Roger belongs to the first generation of professional surfers in Mexico. Since early childhood, he was fascinated by the sea and the magic of surfing as a lifestyle. Roger Ramirez was born in a regional pioneer surfer family of Puerto Escondido that actively promoted and enhanced the practice of surf in the Pacific Coast. With more than 30 years of surfing experience, Roger designs and supervises all coach sessions and program implementation.
Diego Lopez
Diego is a joyful and energetic surf instructor with a true passion for teaching. Patient, supportive, and always positive, he creates a fun and safe environment in every lesson. Kids absolutely love him, and anyone starting their surfing journey will feel confident, encouraged, and well cared for with Diego in the water.
Zicki Garcia
Ziki is an excellent surfer who actively competes in surf competitions. Technical, professional, and passionate about teaching, he leads the theory classes and coaching sessions at Oasis. Intermediate and advanced surfers especially benefit from his experience and detailed approach.
Jose Luis (Chester)
Chester is a Puerto Escondido local with a deep passion for the ocean and surfing. Patient, calm, and professional, he creates a safe and supportive environment in every lesson. His natural teaching ability makes him especially great for kids and beginner surfers, helping them build confidence and enjoy their first waves.
Carlos (Charly) Scapin
Charly is an excellent surf instructor and a true local from Puerto Escondido, with many years of experience in the water. His deep knowledge of the waves, combined with his patience and passion for surfing, makes every lesson safe, professional, and fun. He truly loves what he does and is dedicated to helping each student progress and enjoy the ocean.
Location
This surf camp will take place in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Puerto Escondido exudes Mexican folklore, giving you the opportunity of learning both the language and the culture while enjoying the magnificent beaches of its coastline. Oasis Surf & Spanish School is perfectly located near central town, within convenient walking distance to to the surf houses and the beaches.
By day, you can surf, snorkel, dive, swim, tan, and go sport fishing or look for turtles, dolphins and whales. By night, a busy cafe, restaurant and bar scene brings live music and a freewheeling, unpretentious nightlife. Puerto Escondido can be reached by flight from Mexico City, or by bus longing the lovely landscapes of Oaxaca region.

We do not offer transfers, but the airport of Puerto Escondido is very small so you won't have any problems finding an airport transportation service. There are both shared and private taxis/shuttles available and they are all safe and economical. The drivers know our location, and it is only about a 5 minute ride Airport to arrive.
