Day 1: Arrive and optional surf
Upon arriving in Nosara, guests are warmly welcomed to their tranquil hotel, where they can unwind and refresh after their journey. They highly recommend embracing the serene surroundings and Pelada Beach, known for its breathtaking natural beauty.
Guests can take a leisurely stroll along the sandy shores, exploring several sections adorned with broken seashells or rocks, all while soaking in the relaxed vibes of this coastal gem.
There are popular beachfront spots like Olga's Bar, Emy Restaurant, or the renowned La Luna Restaurant. Whether it's a refreshing smoothie or a tantalizing cocktail, there's something to satisfy every craving against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.
Their staff will provide an informative orientation session, covering safety guidelines, transportation options, money exchange, and insider tips on the best places to visit during your stay. Day 2: Surf lesson
Kickstart your morning with your first Costa Rican breakfast. You'll meet your surf coach and get ready for your 1st surf lesson at Guiones Beach!
On the first day, you will walk together with your coach through the beach, a 15-minute trail walk from Pelada Beach (where the hotel is located) to Guiones Beach (where the lessons are taken), immersing yourselves in the natural beauty that surrounds Refugio del Sol Hotel.
This leisurely stroll presents an ideal opportunity to breathe in the fresh ocean air, engage in active meditation, and gently warm up your body in preparation for your inaugural surf session.
After your lessons, you have the option to return to the hotel or immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Guiones Norte. Unlike the more serene vibe of Pelada, Guiones Norte offers a bustling commercial scene, providing a stark contrast to the beaten path vibes Pelada offers.
Day 3: Surf lesson and surf photoshoot
Their forthcoming surf lesson will concentrate on honing essential skills, including perfecting the pop-up technique, refining paddling mechanics, mastering the art of positioning closer to the lineup, and executing maneuvers while riding waves.
Intermediate surfers will further refine their skills at the lineup, challenging themselves to tackle larger waves and fine-tune their positioning at the peak of each wave to maximize their performance.
Advanced surfers will utilize insights gleaned from video analysis sessions to pinpoint specific areas for improvement, seamlessly incorporating these insights into their practice sessions to enhance their performance to new heights.
As part of the surf package, you will be professionally photographed in one of your surf sessions. This is important to understand and digest the feedback from the coach and also self mirroring for land drills. Also great for the gram.
The scheduled date for the video session may vary, but it's usually slated for the second lesson. This timing enables you to utilize insights from the video analysis to enhance preparation for your final lesson.
It’s scheduled for day 4 because in the event of unexpected circumstances, there's flexibility to conduct the shoot during subsequent sessions. Should you have the energy and inclination, you can opt to purchase additional lessons or arrange for extra photoshoots to further enrich your experience.
Day 4: Check out and surf lesson if not taken on day 1
On this day, you take a break from surfing to indulge in some well-deserved relaxation or elevate the adventure.
