Moby Dick Lodge Surf House Cascais is the only family house that can accommodate up to 20 people in Malveira da Serra. The place was renovated in 2015 using traditional vintage furniture and colorful fabrics combined with modern comfort features. The surf house has two lovely patios for sunbathing, reading, or for your children's playground. Feel free to use both of them whenever you would like. You can rent the whole space or one of the seven rooms, each room has its own private bathroom.
The accommodation does not allow you to bring any kind of pet and there is no laundry machine in the house. If you wish to wash some clothes, that can be arranged for you by the housekeeper at a small fee per load (there is also a laundry shop minutes away from the lodge).
Program
Discover the nature around Lisbon, with its mountains and amazing beaches. Have a nice rest after your sessions at Moby Dick Lodge while making new friends. You can also decide to tour on your own around the area of Sintra, Cascais, and Lisbon. You will have five full days of surfing, two lessons each day. Each lesson will take around two hours.
Instructors
Caetano Machado
Caetano started surfing in Ericeira with his father before he started to walk. His dad used to take him in his surfboard, grabbing his arm for him to stand up, riding in long small waves together until the beach. Caetano has been surfing as long as he can remember. He works sometimes as life guard in the summer. He has a degree in surf instructor and currently managing Moby Dick Surf School so he's doing what he likes most. Surf teaching gives him the pleasure to share the happiness of a person enjoying the first time surfing or help somebody improve his surf performance.
Pedro Machado
Surfer since 2000 and instructor since 2012, Pedro will be the responsible for the accomodation managment. Surfer spirit and with great interest in meeting new people Pedro will assure your holidays in moby dick are rememberable.
Location
Moby Dick Lodge is located in Malveira da Serra, a small town in Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and three kilometers from Guincho beach, one of the best spots for beginner lessons in Portugal. In the town, you will find all the services you will need at just two minutes' walking distance.
