The third floor hosts three more rooms and a small terrace with a small sea view. The final floor is the terrace which boasts a grand view of Taghazout Bay and Crocros surf spot, where you can do regular surf checks and bask in the amazing Moroccan sunsets.
The Surf House in Tamraght consists of eight rooms total, one of which is a dedicated double room with a shared bathroom, one dedicated double room with a private bathroom, one quadruple room, and five rooms that can be twin or double. Each floor has a large bathroom with a combined shower and toilet.

Your belongings can be held at the Surf House at your own risk with no extra cost for early arrivals or late departures.
Program
You’ll learn the fundamentals from ocean awareness and paddling technique to take-offs and wave selection, all in a supportive, small-group setting. Each group is split by level, with a maximum of 6 surfers per coach, ensuring personalized attention and measurable improvement every session.
The coaches monitor surf conditions daily to place you in the right waves for your level, keeping the experience both safe and progression-focused.
This beginner surf coaching experience is for those who ready to catch the surfing bug in Morocco. Let the surf coaches at Local Surf Maroc guide you through every step of surfing: from standing up on the board to riding the waves on your own. They split groups according to ability and progression and keep the group sizes small with no more than six students per instructor to make sure your experience is personalized.
The surf coaches review surf conditions daily and on the spot to make sure the conditions are suitable for your progression and for you to get the most out of every surf session. Surf coach Rachid demonstrates how to stand on a surfboard for a beginner at Banana Beach, Taghazout Bay, Aourir, Morocco. You will be sure to learn valuable surf theory and become comfortable with the basics, laying the foundation for you to take your surfing further in the future.
While they take surfing seriously, this is not a boot camp. Any surf lesson or activity can be skipped and an alternative activity arranged (please note some charges may apply). Your stay with them is your experience, and they aim to make sure you leave Morocco with the best memories. At Local Surf Maroc, the focus is progression and this requires a personalized approach for each level they teach.
Surf instructors check the conditions the night before and make a prediction on what time is best to surf and which surf spot is likely to be working at the beginner-surfing level. This is to ensure that you get the most out of each surf session. The times listed below are therefore tentative and subject to change as no prediction can be 100 percent accurate.

Instructors
Rachid Makoua
Rachid grew up in Taghazout, learning to ride the waves as a child. Having surfed all his life, Rachid knows every surf spot and how the weather conditions can affect each point. Before spending time in England to gain his ISA Surf Coach and Life Guard qualification, Rachid competed in local competitions, becoming a finalist during 2007-2009. Affectionately, Rachid is known as the Surfing Cupid, inspiring beginners to fall in love with the sport, and intriguing those who already love surfing to experience the best of surfing that Morocco has to offer.
Location
As Tamraght is an old Amazigh (Berber) fishing village in Taghazout Bay, its access to Crocros and Devil’s Rock surf spots is also only a 15-minute walk from the Surf House. The village of Tamraght itself is on the main road between Agadir and Essaouira, allowing for easy travel and accessibility regardless which airport you fly into.
Food
You will be served daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner included in the price. All food is Moroccan and homemade from scratch with fresh, local ingredients. Water and Moroccan mint tea are served with meals, any other beverages must be purchased. At Local Surf Maroc, they can cater to most requirements: gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian. Just let them know at the time of booking. Please be aware that the kitchen does not prevent contact allergens when it comes to gluten, peanuts, or other severe allergies.
The tap water in Tamraght is treated and drinkable. However, for your holiday, they recommend sticking with bottled water to avoid any unnecessary symptoms. They provide bottled water on arrival and with meals. Any water, juices, or pop should be purchased at your own expense. Morocco is a Muslim country and much of the country is “dry”. Tamraght, where Local Surf Maroc is located, is a “dry” village so alcohol is not sold in shops or restaurants. There are select restaurants in neighboring villages that sell alcohol for their patrons only.
In Agadir, the Al Massira airport has a duty-free shop where alcohol is available for purchase, along with select supermarkets and alcohol shops. Guests of Local Surf Maroc are welcome to enjoy their own purchased alcohol responsibly at the accommodation, however, they do not take any responsibility for your behavior while under the influence. Please be aware that if any damage occurs during your stay, you will be asked to pay for these damages.
