Lani Surf Lessons

The week at Lani Surf Retreat was exactly what I needed after my quite stressful previous travels. The location is amazing with beach view and access as well as the sound of waves all day long. I cannot think of a better surf instructor than Kailani. He always had the right tips for me to get me onto the board and surfing the waves - an amazing feeling! And by the way, his cat is a cool guy too.

This is the perfect vacation for anyone who's ever wanted to try to live out their surfer dream. The house is located right on the beach and the view is incredible. It's a home that's beautifully maintained and has so much history to the family who owns it. Kailani, the instructor, is so attentive and patient with teaching. The town is also so cute and charming with tons of food and dessert options. I recommend getting a car to explore the nearby areas but the location is ideal. I can't even put into words how wonderful this retreat. 10/10 would do it again!

Excellent location right on the North Shore, major surf spots and access to local town just minutes away. House was clean, tidy and host and surf instructor Kailani laid back, welcoming and professional.

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft! Die Lage ist ebenfalls super, man kommt mit dem Bus in 9 Minuten nach Haleiwa und ist direckt am Strand.

Das Surfen macht sehr spass und man lernt viel.

Ich habe das Lani Surf retread ganz spontan gebucht und bin begeistert. Die Unterkunf ist wunderschön und direkt am Meer. Es hat eine vollausgestattete Küche, welche dir zur Verfügung steht. In wenigen Minuten bis du in der Stadt Haleiwa.

Die Surflektionen bei Kailani waren super. Er kann sehr gut erklären, ist geduldig und hat sehr viel Surferfahrung. Ich war noch nie auf dem Surfbrett und konnte in der ersten Lektion bereits aufstehen und surfen.

Ich komme gern wieder.

I very much enjoyed staying at Kailani's chill private, quiet home where I had my own room and bath room. The intense private surf lessons by Kailani gave me the opportunity to improve my skills day by day. He's very experienced, patient and adapts the lessons to your needs. One of the best surf guides I've ever had. Besides that, there was plenty of time to relax in the beautiful garden facing the beach or have a coffee/meal/small shopping tour in the nearby village. For me, the ideal week with a perfect mix of surf and relaxation.

I was looking for an experience that both inspired me to grow and allowed me to recharge my batteries both physically and mentally. On this amazing trip, I felt my worries and stress from the previous year’s hardships melt away, allowing me the chance for some much needed inner reflection. My surfing instructor and island guide, Kailani, made every moment special with care and concern for all of my needs. He was an excellent surfing instructor, giving me both guidance when needed and freedom to explore my developing skills when wanted. My accommodations were perfect as he made care to make me feel at home. I would highly recommend this trip for those who want to experience more than just a surfing trip and really get a sense of what the north shore of Oahu has to offer.
