Wing foiling is a fairly recent wind-powered water sport. An inflatable sail (called the “wing”) of a triangular shape will help you harness the wind. You hold the wing by two handles to generate power. Just let go of the back handle and the pull stops instantly. Put it back on and you will start moving again at a slower pace. Under your feet, you’ll have a board big enough to have you floating. Underneath it, a meter-long mast connects it to a hydrofoil. This airplane-shaped device flies under water making the mast and the board go up. With practice, you too can experience the feeling of gliding perfection wing foiling offers.

Lagos Marina Guest House offers you single and double rooms with large balconies to relax and enjoy the view. It also has a dormitory with a large terrace where you can enjoy reading, relaxing, sunbathing and other activities. There is a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your meals.

- Setting up the wing and assembling the foil
- Handling of the sail while standing on the sand
- Moving your board and wing around in the water
- Mastering the most important safety skills
- Learning to wing surf on a board without foil
- Learning to fly a hydrofoil with the wing
Information:
The towed hydrofoil lessons can be private (1 person) or semi-private (2 persons). The lessons consist of being towed by a boat in order to learn how to use the hydrofoil board without having to worry about the wing.
You need to bring a bathing suit to wear underneath the wetsuit, a towel, some water, some sunscreen, and a pair of sunglasses - they provide everything else.
The duration of each lesson is around 3 hours. Lagos Kite Club recommends one lesson per day as it gets tiring and you need to be focused to learn efficiently.
They set the time of your lesson the day before accordingly with the latest update of the wind forecast - you will get a notification. It all depends on the wind so you have to be fairly flexible.
Location
The hostel where you will be staying at has a great location and privileged views of the beach, only two minutes by car and ten minutes by foot. The beach is known for its strong winds, which favors kitesurfing and windsurfing.
