After four successful Surfgirls and La Karavana trips that La Karavana organized in 2022, 2023, and 2024 and 2025, they are back with a new trip! Because we loved it so much, an extra day has been added. This time, you’re staying at a lovely campsite in Julianadorp, from where you can walk straight into the dunes. So join La Karavana on a trip to the sunny north of the Netherlands—you’re going to Julianadorp!

Accommodation
Package 1: The Bus (Including Pick-Up)
Of course, part of the fun is living in La Karavana’s ancient bus, transformed from an old public transportation bus into a comfortable group accommodation.
You’ll sleep in a comfortable bed, either a bunk bed or a single bed. Your bed has its own little light, curtain, and locker for your valuables.
Upstairs, you’ll also find the lounge with a view, while downstairs is the living area, with a kitchen and dining area. Both areas have what is called in Dutch ‘ARKO’ (Alle Ramen Kunnen Open’) and a heating system for the colder nights.
Downstairs, La Karavana has a big lounge/dining area with a heater, where you can start your day with a cup of coffee or enjoy conversation at night until everyone is too tired to talk.
If you choose this package, you can also join La Karavana for a little road trip from Alkmaar to Julianadorp! (Friday 14:00 pick-up).
Take your own tent
You can also decide to take your own tent, sleeping bag and matress.
The Campsite
La Karavana will park the bus and pitch the tents at Camping El Dorado, right on the dunes and only 3km from the beach. We will use the sanitary facilities such as a shower and toilet from the campsite.
Program
New Location, Same Great Vibes!
La Karavana is heading to a new location, but the vibes are just as good as last time! You’ll be away for four days and three nights in Julianadorp, where the beaches are never far away. Think silent disco parties on the beach, veggie BBQs, lots of new friends, and evening strolls in the dunes.
Who Is This For?
From beginners to advanced surfers—everyone is welcome! It’s all about being in the water together and cheering each other on.
Beginners have the option to add a lesson if they’d like. You can do so at the time of booking.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Thursday
At 15:00, you’ll arrive at the campsite! Settle in, pitch your tent if needed, or choose a bed on the bus. Then, open up a drink and toast to the days ahead and the amazing company around you!
In the evening, enjoy dinner in (or in front of) the bus.
Day 2 – Friday
Wake up to a nice breakfast, a cup of coffee, and a yoga session before heading to the beach!
For those who want lessons, this is when they take place, provided by the local surf school in Julianadorp. You can easily add lessons to your booking.
If you need to rent a board or wetsuit, La Karavana will pick them up today.
If you have your own gear, simply run into the sea and enjoy the waves together!
In the evening, end the day with a BBQ at the bus.
Day 3 – Saturday
Start the day with breakfast and a yoga class, followed by another day of surfing! If you prefer, explore the beautiful surroundings of Julianadorp, relax, or do whatever feels right for you.
At night, enjoy a silent disco on the beach or in the dunes!
Day 4 – Sunday
Enjoy a slow morning, start packing up, and have breakfast before the All Girls Surf Sessions begin. Girls from all over the Netherlands will gather to surf together and maybe share a beer to wrap up the experience. Around 16:00, the bus will leave Julianadorp—but if you want to stay longer, of course, you can!

Meeting Place and Time
If you’ve booked a tent spot, La Karavana will meet you at the campsite in Groet on May 29th from 15:00. Of course, no problem if you arrive later.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
If you’ve booked a bus spot, you can join La Karavana on the bus. You will be picked up at Alkmaar Noord train station on Thursday at 14:00. From here, you’ll ride in La Karavana’s 49-year-old bus to where the adventure starts and meet the other girls!
On Sunday around 16:00, the bus will drive back to drop you off in Alkmaar. If you wish to stay longer, of course, you can!
Food
Breakfast and dinner are included. All food is vegetarian. There are some nice cafes on the beach where we can enjoy good food for lunch and a little break (at your own cost).
You can drink as much coffee, tea, water, or lemonade as you like. Other drinks like beer, wine, or soda are not included but can be bought on the bus.

Arrival by car
Carpooling. Navigate to Camping Helmzicht, Julianadorp, and look out for a big big bus.
One-two weeks before the trip, they will create a Whatsapp group with all the girls that are joining. You can then arrange to drive together if you wish.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 76% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
