Kitesurfing: Learn a highly addictive sport
Kitesurfing, also known as kiteboarding or flysurfing, has a relatively recent history. However, the concept of harnessing kites with propellers can be traced back to the 12th century.
Kitesurfing is an exhilarating water sport in which participants are propelled across the water’s surface by a kite. The kite is controlled using a control bar connected to four or five lines. This control bar is steered similarly to a bicycle and is attached to the rider’s waist via a harness. This setup allows individuals to effortlessly glide over the water’s surface using a board or water skis.
This kitesurf camp includes six hours of lessons, split into two days. You will learn alongside other participants in a group. A semi-private lesson is also possible. Please ask KiteLife Watersports for more information.
The first two hours of the kitesurfing class includes:
- Safety briefing (wind, weather, beach rules)
- Learn kite parts and gear setup
- Practice safety systems (quick release)
- Set up and launch trainer kite
- Basic kite control on land
- Steering, power zone, and landing practice
- Review and questions
