Jho'La Surf Camp, in partnership with Future Surfing School, proudly presents an all-inclusive surf package in the best surf location in Algarve, Portugal. You will learn with certified professionals while discovering the Portuguese way of life just by walking around. Whether you are new to surfing or already have the basic knowledge of surfing and are looking forward to improving skills in paddling out, Jho'La Surf Camp will welcome you and provide the best experience possible!
The villa has two floors and allows a maximum occupation of eight people. Downstairs, there are three bedrooms, two of them with a bunkbed and two bathrooms. There is also a toilet upstairs. There is free Wi-Fi in all the house and cable TV in the spacious living room. Outside, there are several balconies with hammocks and puffs where you can relax after a surfing day or just chill out with a nice bottle of Portuguese wine.
During your stay in the holiday, you and your surf instructors generally will leave after breakfast and drive to the best beach for the prevailing conditions (waves, wind, and more). You will receive three to four hours of surf coaching plus extra time on the beach and will be brought back to the camp in the afternoon or in the evening.
All the equipment such as surfboard and wetsuit will be provided at no extra charge and you may use the equipment for as long as there is a surf instructor on the beach with you. However, you will not be allowed to use the equipment independently after the course.
Gustavo was the 2001 Portuguese national surf champion. He has been a surf coach by the Portuguese Surf Federation (FPS) since 1998, a managing partner, and founder of Future Surfing School in 1998. He is a responsible surf coach for the advanced and competition classes.
Ricardo is a surf coach by the Portuguese Surf Federation (FPS) since 1996, managing partner of Future Surfing School since 2005, polyvalent surf coach, and mainly responsible for the surf school internal surf coaches training, founder member of the APTS (Portuguese Surf Coaches Association), and lifesaver from the Portuguese Red Cross and the Life Saving Club Great Britain.
Eduardo (Edu) is a surf coach by the FSS since 2008 and by the Academy of Surfing Instructors (ASI) since 2013, long time lifesaver by the ISN, lifesaver by the Surf Life Saving Club Great Britain, and polyvalent surf coach.
The surf camp is located in Vila da Luz right next to the city of Lagos in the Algarve, Portugal. Everything is within walking distance: two minutes to the beach, two minutes to the nearest bars and restaurants, and five minutes to the supermarket and pharmacy.

During this surfing holiday, you will be served daily breakfast, five lunch packs, and five dinners. Jho'La Surf Camp provides vegan and gluten-free diet at a little extra cost. Please be sure to tell them in advanced if you have any food allergies or intolerances.

Please book your flight to arrive at Faro Airport (FAO), which is about a 50-minute drive from the surf camp.
Apart from Faro, you can get cheap flights to Lisbon and Seville, both of which are approximately 300 kilometers away. Jho'La Surf Camp encourages the arrival on Sunday to start the surf course on Monday. Transfers from and to the airport are available upon request.
From Faro, you can take the bus to Lagos and then the local bus to Luz.
