Casa Hilda consists of a Mediterranean-style house with an inner courtyard, lounge, sun deck, common kitchen, and two bathrooms. Plenty of space to eat, relax, and party! The six rooms have two to four beds with a personal lockbox.
The sun deck is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing, whereas the inner courtyard is ideal for a comfortable breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and a lounge is an excellent place for chilling out after the surf. When you still have some energy left, you can climb the volcano (15-minute walk from the surf house). Casa Hilda is equipped with free fast fiber-optic Internet, a flat-screen TV, and guitar.

Surf course for beginners
Ready to learn how to catch your first wave? Here, everybody is a beginner, nothing to be ashamed of. You will go surfing every day and you will make daily progress in your surfing, so after this six-day course, you will be a real surfer.

Surf course for intermediate surfers
If you already did a surf course before but you want to improve your skills and style, or simply want to surf in a good and safe atmosphere, then this is the level for you. The instructors will evaluate your skills and you will improve your surf, learning new tricks. When you book for an intermediate course, you will have the chance to try different types of boards depending on the waves and your level.
In Homegrown's range of surfboards, they have different types and different sizes of surfboards like fishes, evolutions, minimalibus, and malibus. In a six-day intermediate surf course, you will learn to improve:

What is "Surf and Photo"?
Surf and Photo is a new and fresh idea to combine the surf lessons with the best sightseeing of Fuerteventura with the teaching of Mauro and Emanuele, Homegrown's professional photographers!
How does it work?
It’s very simple, every morning, you'll go normally surfing with Homegrown and in the afternoon, Mauro and Emanuele will bring you to some of the most scenic locations of the island, helping you to get the most from your photography!
Where do you go and what do you shoot?
Sunsets on the beach, the volcanoes, and all the beautiful sightseeings that make Fuerteventura a unique place in the world.
Main subjects
You will learn how to use a D-SLR camera (reflex), the principles of light, aperture/shutter speed relation, depth of field, lenses and cameras, how to create a good composition in photography, shooting techniques (landscapes, travel, action, and portraits), image processing, fun, and tan!
Included excursions
Everyday in the afternoon, you will shoot some of the most scenic locations of the island and there you will have the chance to shoot with the help and tips of two professional photographers. Depending on the light and weather conditions, you will be taking pictures of breathtaking sunsets, volcanic lunar landscapes, red mountains meeting blue lagoon, and all the beautiful sightseeings that make Fuerteventura a unique place in the world. (Fuerteventura has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2009).
This course is offered from beginner to experienced photographers and provides elements on the following subjects:
- The principles associated with light, lenses, and cameras
- How to create a good composition in photography
- Shooting techniques (landscapes, travel, action, and portraits)
- Image processing
Every participant must bring his own equipment usually used to shoot. Homegrown also suggests bringing a tripod for low light conditions and long exposure photos. (Check with your flight company if you can bring your tripod on board as hand luggage). If you have one, it could be helpful to bring your laptop to download the photos and help you in the selection of the best shots.
To better follow the post-processing demonstration and if you don’t have them already, you can download Adobe’s software trial version (Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom) from Adobe. Location
The Homegrown home base is situated in the north of the island right at the center of Corralejo, Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). This is the best part of the island to surf. Fuerteventura is blessed with good weather and consistent waves all year round, so you can book your holiday whenever you want. Fuerteventura has the longest beaches of the Canary Islands, but with the lowest population density with only a small straight separates Fuerteventura from the African continent.
Homegrown's surf camp, Casa Hilda, is located in the center of the picturesque town of Corralejo, 200 meters from the famous Homegrown Surf Shop. Beach, party, surf, and shop, everything is within a stones ' throw of the surf camp!

Things to do (optional)
Dinner party
Every Monday at 8 p.m., Homegrown organizes a dinner, with all the surfers, instructors, and photographers, with live music at the Citrus Surf Lounge in Corralejo. The price for dinner, drinks, and live music is 10 EUR per person. After dinner, there is as usual, a party.
Spanish lessons
Every day from Monday till Friday, you can have Spanish lessons with Montse and Jorge. The price for three sessions is 100 EUR and the price for five sessions is 150 EUR. The "aula" where the Spanish lessons are given is situated 300 meters from the surf house. Spanish lessons will be arranged in the most convenient way to make it fully compatible with your surfing course.
Yoga
Every Monday and Wednesday at 7 p.m., there are yoga lessons. The yoga lessons take place 50 meters from the surf shop and 200 meters from Casa Hilda. The price is 10 EUR for each session.
Sport massage
Relax and unwind with a surf massage. Homegrown's kinesis, Gloria, does everyday massages from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Homegrown surfers get a special price of 25 EUR for 45 minutes; nothing better than a good sports massage after several days of surfing!
