Located in the best area of Gijón, 150 meters from the beach and only separated from it by a green area ideal for relaxing, it is designed for lovers of the beach, nature, or sliding sports. It is fully equipped for you to enjoy your stay individually, as a couple, or as a group.
Free public parking and a bus stop are within one-minute walking distance. Gijón Surf Hostel offers you a modern house with very careful details. These are the corners that you will find:
First floor
This floor is composed of a large living room where you can relax on its comfortable sofas, drink something in the minibar, meet people from all over the world, and interact with the other people staying at the hostel. It also has two huge terraces, a toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen for community use.
Second floor
There are four rooms distributed throughout this floor, with a maximum occupancy of four people, of which three of them have views of the sea and the other to the mountains. It also has two large bathrooms, one with Jacuzzi, and a terrace overlooking the mountains.
Third floor
Here, you will find a small living room with sea views, a bathroom, and two attic rooms with views of the sea and the mountains.
Low level
On this floor is the largest room for groups of up to eight people. It also has two separate bathrooms, a large dining room, and a large kitchen equipped with everything you need to develop your culinary skills. This plant can be rented for groups as it can be considered an independent apartment within the urban hostel.
Outdoor spaces
The urban hostel has a large garden where you can do many outdoor activities: From learning to pour cider, sunbathing in a solarium with hammocks, making a barbecue, relaxing in the lounge area, playing ping-pong, watching movies in the summer cinema, improving your balance in the installed Highline, and many more surprises that you will discover during your stay.
Program
You will enjoy the house as if it were yours! You will meet people, make friends, share moments, and live unforgettable experiences. They promise to help you with everything you need and to give you the best possible stay with them!
The days are very active during the day and fun at night! You will enjoy a great daily breakfast and yoga classes (June-September) included in the price. You will also have surfing daily, as their favorite and main activity. Also, we train on surf skates. And any day without waves, they will also offer you that you can do SUP and snorkel on the beach that is behind their hostel with a stone bottom and different species inside.
Surf lessons last 2 and a half hours. They are carried out in groups of 8 people maximum per monitor. In this way, they can be by your side at all times. Classes are taught by certified, qualified instructors with extensive experience in the world of surfing.
Their dynamic is simple but complete, together with ping-pong tournaments, billiards, and meetings between their great team and all the guests who visit them. They really live very special weeks, they are waiting for you!
Sunset yoga
Every day in the morning, and free of charge, during the summer months, they offer pilates classes in the garden or on the beach where you can relax and stretch before an intense day of beach and surfing.

Sonja Stenger
Sonja Stenger is a certified surfing instructor. She has had an experience for seven years of teaching in Indonesia, Costa Rica, and France.
Alvaro Bravo
Alvaro Bravo is a certified instructor of surfing, paddle surfing, and surf skating. He has surfed for eight years and has experience of two years in teaching and six years in working as a beach rescuer.
Pablo Argüelles
Pablo Argüellesis a certified instructor of surfing and paddle surfing. He has surfed for 12 years and has experience of five years in teaching.
Location
The urban hostel is located in Gijon, one of the most beautiful cities in Asturias. To get to know the city without having to travel by car, Gijón Surf Hostel has several suggestions.
By the bike lane that passes by just in front of the urban hostel, you will be able to get to the center and the historic old town in five minutes. Walking along the beautiful maritime city’s pathway, you can reach the city center in no more than 15 minutes. Using public transport, you will find a bus stop just in front of the house. You will be able to travel comfortably and quickly all around the city.
The hostel is located in the privileged part of the city, located in front of the beach, five minutes from the city center and from the university. Gijón Surf Hostel and the university campus are directly connected by a bike path, a bus stop, as well as a free public car park, that are just in front of the urban hostel.
Furthermore, by making the most of the bike path, with the objective of improving transport, promoting sports, and reducing pollution, Gijon Surf Hostel offers free use and availability of bikes to anybody staying at the hostel.

Arrival by bus
From the Oviedo airport, Asturias (OVD), there is a bus that arrives at the Gijón bus terminal. From there, you can get to the hostel by taxi for only approximately 10 EUR or by another intercity bus. If you like walking, it's only 30 minutes along the promenade of the city.
