Spain Kite Surfing Camp

Flag Beach Kitesurf Center offers good cross-shore (from the left) conditions from March and April through to August and September. It is generally wavier for the first couple of months with the remains of the winter swells, however from May onwards the waves disappear and flat slalom conditions prevail. Although the winter months statistically have less windy days at Flag Beach, there can be better locations within easy reach that have wind for the more advanced sailor.

Program

Flag Beach is in the north of Fuerteventura, on the road driving out of Corralejo. The wind is predominantly cross-shore,and Flag Beach is the start of some six to seven kilometers of white sand, where there is about three kilometers for kitesurfing. The best months for kitesurfing are March to November.

This is when the sea tends to be flat and the wind is consistent. During the winter months, it can become too wavy, and though it might be good on an occasional day, it cannot be guaranteed. There is a team of excellent watersports instructors who not only sail, windsurf, surf, dive, and kitesurf but also speak six languages between them. You can also feel safe, as rescue facilities are always at hand for any situation that might occur.

Note

In case activities cannot be conducted due to inclement weather conditions, no refunds or credits will be provided, but Flag Beach Kitesurf Camp might be able to offer alternative activities instead. Please send an inquiry for more information.

Location

This surfing vacation will take place in Corralejo, Las Palmas, Spain.

Things to do (optional)

Catamaran sailing

Why not spend a day on a catamaran and discover the island of Lobos, or sail across to Lanzarote for lunch. There is a Lagoon 38' catamaran, and it will go to the island of Lobos and anchor in front of La Concha beach. There are snorkeling, canoeing, or take a swim in the crystal clear waters. This four-hour trip around the island finishes with a meal on board the boat. The Lagoon 38' is capable of carrying twelve passengers.

Mountain biking

Another way of exploring the island is on a bike tour through the volcanic landscapes on the latest, state-of-the-art, power-assisted mountain bikes. A strong but very quiet motor will make cycling up hills and against headwinds enjoyable. A must-do in Fuerteventura.

Ride an ATV or quad

Fuerteventura is not solely known for water sports; with its desert landscapes, volcano, lava fields, and picturesque north shore, what better way to experience this than by taking an off-road adventure on a quad bike. There are two excursions to suit everybody's needs, whether looking for a short two-hour trip or the full day with a stopover for lunch or a swim in Cotillo.
