This two-week windsurfing course consists of 10 hours and is divided into three parts:
Part one
Put equipment into the water, rig, get sail out of the water, turn the board 360 degrees in both directions, sail 10 meters, and return against the wind.
- Objective: To be able to prepare your equipment, keep your sail out of the water, go, and return without falling.
Part two
Practice slalom against the wind, get up against the wind, change directions without stopping, gybe.
- Objective: To be able to sail within the slalom course without stopping and without falling, to sail and return to the same spot.
Part three
To know how to use the wind, to sail in less windy conditions, to take advantage of the optimum wind, to find the greatest speed, to change directions without losing speed.
The level obtained at the end of the course will not be the same for each student. The windsurf courses run between Monday and Friday after the Spanish language course (from about 3 p.m.) and sometimes at the week-ends in the morning.
Between mid-July and mid-September, the courses mainly take place during the weekends in the morning. If the course is completed earlier than expected due to ideal wind conditions, windsurf gear can be rented from the school (subject to availability) with a 10% discount.
The school also offers courses for expert windsurfers who wish to perfect their technique or to obtain other objectives such as beach starts, gybes, water starts, jumps, and more. The timetable for such advanced levels differs from those of the beginners' courses and is agreed on request (5 hours of private lessons instead of 10 hours in a group course).
Spanish course
There are four lessons daily (50 minutes each) in which the four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are integrated with a practical approach and communicative practice.
