Join the first surf school in Spain and learn or improve your surfing skills with the help of highly qualified and experienced instructors. Spend a unique camp in Somo, which is a surf mecca and a magical environment. You will have daily surfing lessons and the opportunity to try stand up paddleboarding and bodyboarding. During this fun holiday, you get to enjoy Cantabria's beaches, mountains, landscapes, towns, food, and people.
During this camp, you will choose to stay at the Surf Cabins or Somo Surf House.

The SurfHouse Somo is the first surf house in Somo. It is a stone castle that was formerly the pottery workshop of Somo and that is totally reformed. It was one of the last projects of the school, opened in 2007. It is located at the top of the village of Somo, just two minutes’ walk from the Cántabra Surf School and the beach of Somo. It has single, double, and triple rooms, all equipped with private bathrooms and Wi-Fi. They also have free parking.
From Surf House Somo, you will see one of the most magical and privileged sunsets with beautiful views over the whole bay of Santander, the capital of Cantabria while enjoying a cold beer after an intense day of surfing at school. Breakfast included.
Escuela Cántabra De Surf Quicksilver Roxy, since 1991, was the first surfing school in Spain.
During this surf camp, you will benefit from four-hour surfing lessons every day. All the surfing materials are included during the lessons and can be rented for the rest of the day.
We have polyester and epoxy shortboards and longboards of all sizes, as well as softboards. You can also rent SUP, bodyboard, skate, longskate, and carvers.
During the months of July and August, lessons are held at different hours, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
During the rest of the months, you have lessons in the morning from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
David García “Capi” is a former Spanish champion and free surfer and has been competing and traveling around the world for over 30 years. For the last 24 years, he has been focusing on teaching surfing. He wants to share his knowledge and love with the ocean with everyone, and let everyone know the magic of surfing experience.
Nachete is the deputy director of the Cantabrian Surf School. He has been surfing and competing since 1990. He is a superior surfing technician (Spanish Federation), a surfing technician level I and II (Cantabra Federation), a superior technician in aquatic rescue and in first aid (Spanish Federation), among others.
Sergio is a surf instructor of Escuela Cantabra De Surf Quicksilver Roxy.
Marta is a surf instructor of Escuela Cantabra De Surf Quicksilver Roxy.
Javier Fernandez is the surf instructor at Escuela Cantabra De Surf Quicksilver Roxy.
