Whether it is your first time in the surf or you are looking to improve, Cornish Wave's aim for the weekend is to simply have fun and share their surfing knowledge in a relaxed environment. With post and pre-surfing woodland yoga sessions, the unique space provides an ideal setting to unwind and re-energize whilst surrounded by nature. This weekend is perfect for those who have never surfed or taken part in any yoga previously.
Whatever the session, Cornish Wave will break it all down into easy-to-understand bite-sized bits. For surf lessons, just bring a towel, shoes for the beach, and something to wear under a wetsuit. For yoga sessions, all activities are two hours long once the group is ready. Surf and yoga go hand in hand, complementing each other in many ways - add in some wild camping (but not that wild) in a private Cornish woodland and you have got a recipe for a truly energizing yet relaxing weekend escape.
The surf
Stretched over two days, Cornish Wave's aim is to provide you with an introduction to surfing, so your future self feels comfortable and confident enough to rent the correct surfboard and surf with a purpose in your own time. What will be covered is the basics of how to handle a surfboard, beach, and surf safety and of course the techniques behind how to ride waves back to the shore. Cornish Wave will provide all the equipment you need. Just bring a towel, shoes for the beach, and something to wear under your wetsuit. Each of the two surf lessons is two hours long.
The woodland camping
Whether you love camping or like the idea but are not sure how to go about it, this is the place to embark on your first camping adventure. Forget whatever else you have seen, this wild camp is a unique take on camping that is perfect for those who just want to turn up and relax. It is camping but without all the fuss. Although called wild camping, it is really more like glamping. It is back to basics but in a nice way.
The yoga
Re-energise post-surf with a yoga session in Cornish Wave's tranquil woodland barn. You will be led through a yoga session specifically designed to assist with helping your body relax and recover after your surf lesson. Even if you have not done any yoga before, your instructor will guide you through the session offering helpful advice on how to look after your body post-surf for all levels in a non-pressured and fun environment. Yoga mats will be provided and no previous experience is necessary. All levels are welcome.
