Cornish Waves' camp offers a unique experience nestled in their private Cornish woodland, situated on a working dairy farm. Complete with a outdoor kitchen, pond and games area, this purpose-built campsite provides comfort and convenience. Choose from individual tents, shared dorm tents, or private tents for you and a friend. Each canvas bell tent comes with carpets and airbeds, requiring only a sleeping bag and warm clothes. Enjoy sheltered areas, basic cooking facilities, a barbecue area, and a central fire pit for shared stories and marshmallow roasting in this dedicated campsite.

Friday Evening – Arrival Day

Once at Cornish Wave’s purpose-built woodland camp, your hosts will guide you around the facilities, helping you settle into your cosy shared tents, complete with an air bed, sheets, and a light blanket. The camp is designed with comfort and connection in mind, featuring hot showers for a refreshing end to your day and a peaceful pond perfect for a cooling dip.

Spend your first evening unwinding in the inviting communal spaces. Share stories around the campfire, try your hand at axe throwing, or enjoy a friendly game in the hand-built games area.

For food lovers, the large outdoor kitchen is the perfect spot to cook together, complete with a pizza oven and BBQ area to create delicious meals as you bond with fellow adventurers.

It is the ideal setting to relax, connect, and ease into your surf and yoga retreat experience.

Saturday Surf Session

Begin your first full day with fresh tea and coffees and a simple camp breakfast featuring cereals and fruit. If you have specific dietary preferences, feel free to bring additional items to suit your needs. After breakfast, head back to Newquay to Cornish Wave HQ and get ready for your first surf lesson of the weekend.

Whether you are new to surfing or already experienced, professional coaches will tailor the lesson to your individual abilities, ensuring a fun, safe, and enjoyable time in the water. Surfing is a big part of the surf yoga retreat, but it is all about what works for you. Whether you are excited to catch every wave or just want to take it easy and enjoy the experience, you are free to do as much or as little as you like. It is your retreat, so you can make it exactly what you need.

Saturday Afternoon – Yoga Session

After lunch, return to the camp for your first yoga session, designed to complement your morning surf. Depending on the weather, the session will take place in the bespoke yoga barn or beside the tranquil pond. This restorative yoga practice will soothe your muscles and refresh your mind, helping you fully embrace the balance of your yoga and surfing retreat.

Saturday Night

Relax by the fire pit, share stories with new friends, or stargaze under Cornwall’s clear night skies. For a refreshing end to the day, take a dip in the pond before retreating to your cosy bell tent for a restful sleep.

Sunday Funday

After yoga, head straight into your second surf lesson. Whether you are just getting to your feet or building on what you learned on Saturday, experienced instructors will be on hand with personalised tips to help you progress.

By early afternoon, it is time to pack up and head home—with new skills, great memories, and that post-adventure glow.

Your weekend includes two surf lessons, two guided yoga sessions, and two nights at your private wild campsite. Each session lasts around two hours, is fully guided, and all equipment is provided. Check the packing guide to make sure you are all set for a weekend of surf, stretch, and sea air.
