Coconuts Kite offers two distinct accommodation options.
For spacious comfort, Mkunguni Villas are just a minute from Bwejuu beach, featuring air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a large swimming pool. With only four apartments, you'll enjoy a private experience. Each villa has a kitchen, or you can request a private chef (extra fee). Breakfast is served either at your villa or our kite school. Transfers provided.
Alternatively, for those seeking a lively, immersive experience, we have shared rooms with shared bathrooms at the Coconuts Kite school. This option is perfect for single travelers or small groups wanting to be at the heart of the action, right on the beach and within the kitesurfing community.

Program Itinerary
This 7-day wingfoiling adventure is designed for maximum flexibility, with daily activities adapting to the prevailing wind and weather conditions to ensure the best possible learning experience. Your 6 hours of group or private lessons will be spread across 3 action-packed days, with the remaining days open for relaxation or exploration.
Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to Paradise
Upon your arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) or Stone Town ferry, a Coconuts Kite representative will provide a hassle-free transfer to your chosen accommodation in Jambiani or Bwejuu. Settle in, then join us for a comprehensive briefing on your wingfoiling course and all the exciting optional activities available on the island. Enjoy your first evening in the tranquil beachside paradise.
Days 2-6: Wingfoiling & Island Exploration
These days are dedicated to mastering the wind and discovering Zanzibar's wonders.
Wingfoiling sessions
Your instructor will tailor your lessons (group or private) to your skill level, progressing from piloting basics on the beach to water control, maneuvers, and ultimately, your first foiling attempts in Jambiani's turquoise, warm lagoon. All equipment is provided during lessons.
No-Wind & Rest Days
On days without sufficient wind, or simply for your well-deserved breaks, the island is your playground! Choose from a variety of additional activities (available at extra cost) such as:

Emanuel Zabron Wagazu
Emanuel, nicknamed Zabron Kite, is tour head instructor and is originally from Tanga, mainland Tanzania. Emanuel has over 10 years experience teaching kite surfing and has been teaching students from all over the world both in Tanzania and in South Africa. He has experience with light and strong winds as well as with waves and both shallow and deep water and can guarantee an amazing learning experience for all students. Advanced students can benefit from some coaching for tricks and jumps. Emanuel is IKO certified level 3. Emanuel is also a wing foil instructor and land kiting instructor.

Your wingfoiling adventure unfolds in Jambiani, a serene fishing village on Zanzibar's South East coast. Coconuts Kite school is directly on the pristine beach, complete with The Coffee Club, an inviting coffee spot, restaurant, and bar. Jambiani offers ideal, safe, uncrowded conditions with shallow, warm waters and consistent winds all year round, ensuring a safe and tranquil learning environment away from the crowds.

Please book your flight to arrive at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) in Zanzibar. Your hassle-free return airport transfers are included, and a representative from Coconuts Kite will be there to pick you up. Zanzibar's international airport is well-connected, served by various European and Middle Eastern airlines, as well as charter flights. The journey from the airport, located near Stone Town on the West part of the island, to our base in Jambiani on the East coast takes approximately 1.5 hours by car.
Arrival by ferry / boat
Another convenient option to reach Zanzibar is by ferry from Dar es Salaam. We highly recommend using either Azam Marine or ZanFast Ferries for your journey, as these are considered the safest and most reliable choices. The ferry departs from Dar es Salaam port and arrives in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Dar es Salaam is a major hub served by most international airlines, making it a convenient arrival point, especially if you plan to visit mainland Tanzania's national parks before or after your kitesurfing adventure.
