Clapo Surf Morocco's surf week in Imsouane is for all levels, all year long. Come with friends, family, or by yourself. Surf theory

Every session will start with a warm up, some surf theory, and demonstration on land. Clapo Surf Morocco will talk about the equipment, what every part is useful for, and how to make the most out of them in your practice.

They'll also talk about ocean safety and awareness in the bay to ensure a safe session and meeting points. Through the three peaks and waves reforming, it's important to be reminded how priorities work in surf and what are the fundamental rules of good "surf etiquette."

Lastly, you'll have a lecture of the waves and peak(s) from the coast so you can understand how to read waves before jumping in!

Daily surf lesson

Lessons will last for two hours, in small groups of five people maximum per instructor to ensure the best quality and safety. All of Clapo Surf Morocco's surf teachers are certificated by ISA and / or the Moroccan federation, so you'll be in good hands.

How is a lesson like? Every session will start with a set of essential stretches to warm up the body and get in the mood!

If you're a beginner, you'll stay a little longer on the beach to learn the basic techniques of surfing. Your instructor will show you the correct movement to paddle, pop up, and stand up on your board. They'll explain how your body positioning and your look matters for your balance and to catch waves in general. You'll practice on land to understand the movement properly (positioning on the board, paddling, popping up, and standing up to ride).

If you're intermediate, Clapo Surf Morocco will take that time to understand your expectations, discuss your surf goals, and do exercises based on them. You will have the option to go surf the Cathedral spot nearby if you want to level up the challenge.

It'll be time to put everything in practice! You and Clapo Surf Morocco will head in the water to catch some waves together, providing one-on-one guidance to every member of the group. They will be guiding you every step of the way: picking safe waves for you, timing your paddling, and giving you an extra push to catch them. They'll be encouraging you on every try, and you'll be surprised by how much you're capable of!

The instructor will keep a close eye on each of your waves, so he can provide feedback and suggestions for each attempt. Feel free to share any challenges you may be facing. Clapo Surf Morocco will be there to help and address them with specific tips and personalized advice.

The lesson will conclude with a recap of all the progress made and the next goals to set for next time.

Daily free surf session

Free time can be for chilling or for surfing! Afternoon sessions will usually be a time for you to put in practice what you learned in the morning. Grab your surfboard, paddle out, and try to surf independently.

You'll have new sensations, activate learnings, understand new things by yourself, and be proud of your own success! It will also give you more visibility on what you want to improve and work on the next day.

Surf equipment

Clapo Surf Morocco will provide all the necessary equipment so you can surf at your best: wetsuits, surfboards, leash, wax, etc. If you are intermediate or more, let them know what type and size of board you would like to surf with so they can save it for you in advance.

Pictures and videos

A big part of learning and improving your surf and style is to see yourself, so you'll have a photographer following you during the week to capture your evolution and best waves. Every evening, you and Clapo Surf Morocco will review the series of the day all together - learnings and laughs guaranteed! They'll also send you all the pictures at the end of the week as a souvenir.

Beginning of activities

It really depends on the time that participants will arrive. Some arrive early in the morning, in which case they can make a surf lesson fit in the afternoon. Others land midday or late at night so they can't do the activity upon arrival but Clapo Surf Morocco will make up for it on the day of their departure.

In any case, you will have seven lessons in total and 21 meals in total during your stay. There will be no food or activity included on the last day.

What will a day be like?

• 08:00 Homemade Moroccan breakfast on the rooftop terrace of the house
• 09:00 Pick your surf equipment: Surfboard, wetsuit, leash, etc.
• 09:30 Surf check of all the spots: Find the one most adapted to your surfing level (the bay, the reef, Cathedral, l'oued)
• 10:00 Surf lesson
• 13:00 Moroccan picnic on the beach
• 14:00 Time to relax, nap, discover the village, sun bathe, and get the energy back or free surf
• 17:00 Sunset surf session
• 20:00 Homemade dinner at the house
• 21:00 Video and surf pictures analysis
