The Hotel Pousada Rancho Fundo located in Abrantes; a suburb from Salvador da Bahia, Brazil is a unique finca-style location. The hotel has just 10 individual rooms in a 5,000 square meter large tropical park with hammocks, pool, and sundeck.
The strategic position of the accommodation is ideal for discovering Bahia's beaches and cities, located close to the International Airport of Salvador (14 kilometers). The place is very natural and full of good energy with a view to the Atlantic rainforest.
Here, at the beginning of the "Linha Verde" with its fantastic coconut beaches, you can discovery the Bahian nature, several stunning beaches are close at the coastline “Costa dos Coqueiros” like Jauá beach only 4 kilometers away. They are very confident that you will enjoy this beautiful and peaceful atmosphere.
Program
About the surf locations
You will go to different surf spots along the 30 mile coast stretch of the North Coast. They have some coral stands here in the surf region.
- Guarajuba coral: A super long maneuverable wave to the right!
- Itacimirim coral: A very long wave to the left perfect maneuverable!
- Praia do forte: A wave both to the right and to the left, very perfect with tube sessions on classic days, a very long wave where it ends in a channel where the athlete on his return to the outside does not need to pass under the foam
- Scarreef: Very long and perfect right wave with tube sessions
Remember that all the waves mentioned are reef break with a lot of marine life, fish, turtles, crabs, and much more. And you will surf all of them. Come and join them surfing!
Program
After breakfast, you will be met at the Pousada to get you to the surf spot / beach which is different day by day to get you on your board; you may go for an exercise in the gym. The daily surf lessons will depend on the tide, so the team will mark each day directly with you. Cleyton will meet you at the surf spot or pick you up at the Pousada and you will have his advice during the surf lessons, which will cover lots of surf time and different surf locations.
The region has all different types of wave formations. After your lesson, you can enjoy nature, the beach, and relax in the endless Bahian summers. The surf camp doesn't have a minimum number of participants to be held. If you don't want overcrowded camps, this is your best option. You may also bring a friend or 2 to experience this adventure!
Bahia Vacation Tours are operating all year round, no minimum group size. Individual camps are welcome. Just enjoy the natural environment of the camp.

My name is Clayton Reis. Since I was 9 years old, when I discovered the magic of waves, surfing has become my overwhelming passion. More than 35 years dedicated to surfing, I have worked tirelessly to promote and contribute to the growth of this sport that I love so much.I have dedicated myself to sharing my knowledge and experience with other surf enthusiasts. I believe that everyone is capable of enjoying this unique lifestyle that surfing provides, and my mission is to inspire and empower people to connect with the waves and nature in a deep and meaningful way.
