The best time of the year to go surfing in Sidi Kaouki is from late September to April when the pointbreak gets its most consistent swell. The area between Essaouira and Taghazout is famous for its great pointbreaks, and the less-crowded Sidi Kaouki is hereby no exception. Regardless of the warm land temperatures, you’ll need a wetsuit in the water year-round, as the Atlantic Ocean.
The place to find restaurants in Sidi Kaouki is its local main square with about 6 restaurants, serving fresh fish and local Moroccan dishes. A unique place and surfer’s favorite is the place called ‘Al Vent’ with a great ambiance, and delicious coffees and fresh food. There’s not a lot of nightlife to be found in the small village of Sidi Kaouki, as there are no bars or clubs here.
