Program
Learn to surf on the sandy beaches of the sunny Algarve in a friendly environment with certified instructors while staying at the fun, safe, and comfortable hostel in Sagres. To add to the experience, join social events organized by the hostel crew like their famous Friday night barbecues, Wednesday night group dinners at local restaurants, or a great night of bar hopping in town. The five days include the following:

The white water or broken waves are the best environment to learn and improve quickly. You should not approach the green waves if you are not confident with the above techniques. Remember: be a beginner; do not be a kook. Lesson format: morning and afternoon lessons (one and a half hours each) or one single three-hour session (depending on the conditions). Board, wetsuit, and sports insurance are included during the lesson.

Plenty of practice, complemented by all the theory and safety tips, you need to become a responsible and competent surfer. The best board for you to use will be determined by the instructor. Lesson format: Not as strict as the beginner level. Algarve Surf School will try to get you in the water when it is good and do the theory before, after, or in between the surf sessions. Board, wetsuit, and sports insurance are included during the lesson.

Sagres is at “the end of the world” which makes it kind of a big deal. But for locals, being at the most south-westerly point of Europe means an awesome location of surfing beaches and landscapes. It is a playground for both beginner and experienced surfers.

Food
You will be served daily awesome home-cooked breakfast and packed lunch for the beach included in the price. A full breakfast will come with freshly baked goods daily from 09:00 to 10:00. During breakfast, Algarve Surf School also sets up a sandwich-making station so that you can prepare your packed lunch for the beach. Some nights of the week, you have themed group dinners at local restaurants. On Friday nights, they host their famous barbecue at camp which is usually followed by a few drinks at the local surf bars.
