My new travel surf spot in Morroco has been found.
The trip was awesome. My surfing improved so much, it was some of the best lessons I have ever had and it was tailored it to my skill level.
The food was super delicious, varied as well as authentic Moroccan. The boys were super attentive and helped me organise some other amazing activities such as Hammam spa and taking me on an evening trip to the famous Agadir market and the prices for these activities were great when compared to other places.
I definitely want to go again. Thank you for a great trip!

First travel experience in Morocco as a female solo traveler
This trip turned out to be nothing like I thought it would be, in the best way! I was alone in the surf camp for the week I was there but in turn I got personal surfing lessons from Amine and he also showed me around Tamraght/Taghazout a lot which was amazing. All the people at the hostel were really nice and really made me feel welcome and I had really fun every day. Most importantly as someone traveling alone, especially as a young woman, the people working at the hostel made me feel very safe and the town in general felt very safe!
Surfing was the most amazing, I felt really worried beforehand as I have never even seen other people surfing but Amine was a really great teacher and we went every day to different places depending on the waves of that day.
The food was great and so nice to not have to worry about it and getting three meals a day + water. The location of the hostel is also perfect as it's only a few minutes walking from the beach and the beach promenade is really pretty. The rooms were nice, the beds were quite hard which was very good and comfortable. There were some chickens close by, but with my ear plugs I couldn't hear them. The hostel also arguably has one of the best rooftops in town, close to the ocean and a really cute chill area where you can sit and watch the sunset every night.
The worst thing about my trip was that I wanted to stay longer and felt like I didn't have enough time to explore and see more things, so I need to come back!

It was a great experience.
It was my first time at a surf camp and even learning to surf, and everything exceeded my expectations. The instructors were patient, friendly, and really supportive, making me feel comfortable from the very beginning. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I left with wonderful memories, new skills, and a lot of positive energy. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to surf for the first time or just enjoy a fun surfing adventure.

A great surf camp experience with an experienced instructor
Yassine, who runs the camp, is an excellent host and surf instructor. Throughout our one week long surf camp, he was very professional, hospitable, welcoming and a generally an incredibly friendly person. The way Yassine takes care of his guests is second to none. He is truly dedicated to delivering the best possible experience to his surf camp attendees and works incredibly hard to deliver on his promises. Yassine is genuinely committed to making everyone's stay as pleasurable and comfortable as possible.
If you choose to go on Yassine's surf camp, you will not regret. Everything is taken care of for you: accommodation, excellent food, all the equipment you will need, transport to the beaches and back, as well as additional evening programme. All that for an incredibly competitive price that you will struggle to find anywhere in Europe.
I would highly recommend joining a surf camp whether you are a beginner like myself or someone who has surfed before and wants to get some more practice and useful tips to improve their technique. Every day on the beach is a lot of fun when you are in a group of like-minded people and the evenings spent together on a rooftop terrace are a great way to unwind whilst making new friends.

Amazing surf camp with great trainers in Morocco
The surf retreat was great. Accomodation is right in front of the beach, rooms are clean and comfortable. A big plus of the camp is the food. You get three typical Moroccan meals a day, with dinner being an amazing way to get acquainted with local cuisine.
Yassine is an extremely experienced instructor, knowledgeable about the sea and able to perceive other surfers' strengths and weaknesses. He is very patient and will make you improve quickly. He was so nice to bring us around with his car. He once took us to Agadir to walk around the local souk, while one evening he and his friend Khalid took us to have harira, a traditional Moroccan soup.
Definitely one of the best camps I had, would go back anytime. Can only recommend!

Great value stay with lovely people
I loved the family feel of the retreat, everyone was so friendly and made me feel at home. Amazing food, lots of time to surf with Yassine giving special attention to everyone to make sure you get better. Beautiful surroundings and great options for additional outings in the afternoon (bring cash!!) Agadir markets, Quad biking in the desert, or a night out to name a few - but also the option to have some time to relax/ take a nap instead if you're tired from all the surfing. Yoga with Bibi was great too and so relaxing at the end of the day. And lots of great conversations at dinner/ evening walks by the sea. Amazing stay :)

Highly recommend for all levels - solo, friends and family!
As a solo female traveller, I was a little nervous about visiting Morocco, especially as it was my first time in the country. However, I was made to feel welcome from the very beginning. I would highly recommend this to other solo female travellers!
The accommodation and facilities were fantastic. Having all three meals included meant I didn’t feel the need to venture far, but when I did fancy something extra, there were plenty of coffee shops and small stores nearby to choose from. That said, I rarely needed anything else, as we were fed so well!
I felt very safe throughout my trip, and the whole team was always on hand to help if needed.
When it came to surfing, Yassine was the perfect host and instructor. He made sure we had the chance to surf every day (twice on some days!) and provided clear guidance, support, and feedback after each session to help us improve. He was also great at catering to different levels of surfing experience, while giving the option to opt out or adjust the plan for the day if needed. We visited various beaches for the best surf spots and even had the chance to explore some well-known locations in the area. All equipment was provided. On top of that, he has the most wonderful classic car, which really sets his camp apart from any other!
Yoga at sunset on the rooftop (with Bibi – who is super lovely!) was another highlight of the trip.
I’m already hoping to be back soon!

It was the perfect place to spend an evening with great company. On top of all that, the prices were very reasonable for the quality we received. I truly loved every moment of it.

I had an amazing experience! Coach Yassine is super patient and even drove us around to find the best waves. We got plenty of time in the water to practice, which was great. The food at the camp was different every day, and Mr. Hank’s cooking was absolutely delicious—it really felt like home. By the time I left, everyone felt like good friends. On top of that, the surf camp is very affordable. Highly recommended!

I had an incredible experience, exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, the guesthouse was cozy and perfectly located. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shared spaces had a communal vibe. The surf lessons were definitely a highlight. Yassine was not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and encouraging, making every session both fun and challenging ( it was my first time in a board!!) The yoga sessions with Bibi were the perfect complement to the surfing, a great way to stretch out, unwind, after a physical day.
Overall, everything was thoughtfully organized. I left feeling refreshed, stronger, and already dreaming of my return :) Highly recommend!

The trip to Abrid Surf Camp in Morocco was totally worth it!
As a first-time surfer, I felt super comfortable thanks to Yassine, the surf instructor. He made the whole learning process fun and encouraging, and he really motivated me to keep learning and improving throughout my 4-day stay.
The food was amazing! I'm vegetarian and gluten-intolerant, and Elias, the cook, was incredibly thoughtful and patient—he always made sure I had delicious meals and never went hungry.
Everyone at the camp was friendly and laid-back. I truly enjoyed my time there, felt very welcome, and the place was clean and chill.
I highly recommend this camp whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or just a surf lover. You won’t regret it!

I really enjoyed the stay :)
The food was very good and healthy (and various even if I'm vegan), the room and bathroom were nice and clean, the staff has been always kind and helpful. The city is calm and as a solo female travel I felt very safe.
Considering the experience overall, I can say value for money is optimal.

everything was amazing!
Everything was fine. Food was delicious, yoga teacher very friendly and caring, surf teacher was doing the best job to teach us how to surf and was always keeping his attention to us. We could always ask about anything and the daily schedule could be adjusted to our plans if we asked. A lot of sun, morrocan food and adventures. We will definitely come back to Yasin’s place :)

Informative teaching and an intimate group with tasty food
The food was tasty and there was always sooo much, I don't think anyone will ever go hungry, the lessons were really informative and as a beginner gave me the skills to learn to stand up, Yassine is patient but also pushes you and encourages you to improve. The group size was lovely- we had a few different people come and go over the days to join but generally, they were small meaning Yassine spent more time helping each of us, and it allowed us all to become friends. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and it's nice to chill on the roof and eat together in the kitchen/terrace area. Location is also good as it's a nice little village and it's only a few minutes walk from the beach. I couldn't have asked for a better stay

More than we imagined
Our stay in Abrid surf camp was much more than we expected! Everything was perfect; the accomodation, location, food, surfing. The people at surf camp were amazing, so warm, welcoming and caring. Lovely people lovely place!
It was a wonderful experience staying at Abrid surf camp, I became a far better surfer thanks to Yasin and the clear blue, gentle waves of Tamraght beach. Further, the staff is amazing and practically makes you feel like family! Id warmly recommend Abrid surf camp to anyone wanting to develop their surfing whilst exploring Morocco, not to mention the delicius home cooked dinners!

I absolutely loved it
Yassine and all of the people at the Surf House are super lovely. Yassine is also himself an enthusiastic and helpful guide. Spending time with him a lot, I feel like we became good friends. He really is the best. We went to different beaches everyday with surfing both before and after lunch. Start to beach was in my opinion maybe a bit late, but I´m sure someone else would have thought it was just perfect.
The room was very clean, the bed was perfect. The dining area and living room area is really cosy and from the outside dinner area (terass) you could see to the sea, and on the rooftop you really could look over the whole of Tamrath as well as out to the sea.
Apart from the proffesional and really hands on teaching I got surfing, I especially would like highlight the food. Ilias (our cook) and the food that we ate was spectacular. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was always different and REALLY good. I love Maroccon food, and this was like you would be eating at somebodys home kind of food. Really really good. Can´t think of a better day start with good breakfast, and ending the day with delicious dinner. And Ilias, the cook, is such a talented and nice and warm person. We had so many laughs and good times.

Amazing experience
Yassine is a great guy, so friendly and a great instructor - if I had any questions about my stay or surfing he was always helpful. The food was amazing and we had plenty of chance to explore the area as well as surf. Can’t thank Yassine and the team enough and will absolutely be coming back next year.

Apartment accommodation was nice and the staff was very friendly. Yoga and surf Instruction was very good with Yassine helping me to navigate the green wave hunting and he is really into the surfing which is always good. The daily home cooked meals and mint tea were a highlight and a great way to start and end the day. Great value experience.

Fantastic location, patient instruction & yummy food
Excellent accomodation tucked away minutes from the beach. Accomodation clean, modern and lots of areas to hang out inside and out. Stunning sunsets from the roof terrace. Showers hot and powerful and no problem with Wi-Fi. Yassin is a warm, welcoming host and patient instructor. Plans each day according to tides and needs of guests. He really looks after everyone and creates a nice chilled vibe. The food is AMAZING!!! Delicious hot taglines, hearty bread perfect after a day on the beach wrestling with Mother Nature. Hosts are so hospitable and really look after you well. Picked up from airport and after shown my room, seated with a plate of hot food - excellent start to my stay: they create a wonderful community everyone eating and learning together. I’m so sad to leave but definitely returning with family and highly recommend. Thank you Yaccine, Akmed & team at Abrid Surf.

Review of surfcamp
Abrid surf camp was super. These are the things that I loved about it;
I was picked up from Agadir by them which was really helpful as I wasn't sure how to get to Tamraght.
. You're feed delicious and healthy Moroccan food for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Yassine is a great teacher, and was super patient with me as a complete beginner.
You're given a lot of time to surf in the day
3 hours of instructed surfing in the morning and 3 and a half in the evening ( ofcourse you don't have to surf this long if you're tired etc).
Tamraght is a beautiful city full of brightly coloured house's and winding streets and some cool cafes. It's also full of gentle street dogs and
cats. if you like cats and dogs, you'll make plenty of friends.
Finally The sunsets over the sea are really beautiful here.

Perfect place to surf, relax and experience Moroccan culture
I had a great time at Abrid Surf Morocco. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you need including amazing view from the rooftop terrace. As I entered the house I could feel the inspiration and experience for all kinds of boards because of the stylish decoration with wafeboards, skateboard and surfboards.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Always fresh prepared Moroccan-style meals are not only incredible delicious but also very healthy.
I enjoyed the surfing lessons with Yassine. He's patient and taught me a lot about the waves, the technique and the surfboards. Despite the big waves sometimes, which made me (beginner with some surfing experience) a bit overwhelmed during the few days of surfing, he kept me safe and still managed to catch many waves.
The private tour to souk market in Agadir was fantastic.
I recommend everyone to book the camp and I'll definitely go back to the camp again.

Fantastic Option for Beginner Surfers
We loved nearly everything about Abrid Surf, the food and accommodation was exceptional, as was the daily yoga class with Luke. The staff are what make this place fantastic, they treated us like family from the moment we arrived, accommodated all of our requests and made sure we got every possible opportunity to surf.
We went slightly out of season so the waves did not exactly deliver, however, Yassin arranged for us to go to different spots everyday to take advantage of the little swell that we had.
The instruction and equipment was slightly underwhelming as a more experienced surfer. For my partner, who is a beginner, it was great he had a big foam board and lots of attention from Yassin which helped him to start to catch his first green waves, he was psyched about that. Over the weekend we were joined by a secondary instructor (Otman), he was absolutely great with me and helped me understand where I was going wrong in my technique with a greater attention to detail, it was just a shame he wasn’t available throughout the duration of our stay.
Overall we had a great time and would recommend the camp to anyone looking to advance from a beginner to intermediate surfer without hesitation. We will most certainly be booking a return visit over winter :)

7 amazing days at Abrid surf camp
Everyone that was working there was such good people. Friendly and helpful :)) Here they will help you with everything you need. They even made gluten-free Maroccon food for us everyday.
