We are not a luxury resort, but a simple surf retreat where guests can enjoy authentic island living, slow mornings, ocean breezes, and a relaxed local atmosphere.
Each room includes essential amenities to ensure a comfortable stay after your surf sessions and island adventures. While the rooms are not beachfront, they are located just a short walk from the beach, giving guests easy access to the waves and the laid-back vibe of Puraran.
Program

Day 1: Arrival and welcome
- Airport pick-up, transfer to Puraran, welcome drink, and orientation.
- Free time, sunset beach vibes, and bonfire night with the group.
Days 2-6: Surf, explore, and connect
- Enjoy 5 days of one-on-one surf coaching tailored to your level.
- Between sessions, experience island life with:
- Optional yoga and stretching (no fixed schedule)
- Island tours: Waterfalls, river swim, viewpoints, local spots
- Free surf, beach time, and volleyball
- Cultural visits and local experiences
- Evening activities: bonfires, karaoke, games, stargazing
Day 7: Farewell and departure
- Breakfast, last beach moments, group photo, and airport transfer.

- Sunrise hike at Binurong Point: On one of the mornings, you'll hike up to Binurong Point to catch the breathtaking sunrise over Catanduanes.
- Sunset trek at Balacay point
- Chasing waterfalls at Nahulugan Falls and Bahaw River: a day trip dedicated to exploring the stunning Nahulugan Falls and the surrounding Bahaw River.
- Tour at Batag Beach for snorkeling and virac downtown
Instructors
Edmond Tanael
Edmond Tanael is one of newest part of Majestic Family. He been a surf instructor for almost 12 years. He is started surfing since 8 years old and actively joining surfing competition. He have certificate of red cross for life saving life guard training.
Ron Micheal Medallo
Ron Micheal of the youngest surf instructor at Majestic Family. He still currently studying at University. He been surf instructor 3 years now and currently attending for life saving training.
Kissy Tanael
Kissy Tanael has been the booking manager at Majestic Puraran since 2017. In 2022, she became the founder of Puraran Wahines Surf Retreat. With a background as a surf instructor, surf organizer, and involvement in the Puraran Surf Association, she brings a wealth of experience to her role.
Location
You will enjoy surfing in Puraran Beach, an isolated cove in Baras, Catanduanes, Philippines. Puraran Wahines Surfing Retreat is around two meters from the beach, so be sure you will enjoy the sea view in all its resplendence. The beach has its own swells coming in from the Pacific that break on an offshore reef.
The “Majestic” is one of the fastest, most hollow, and most right-handed barrels in the world. The term was coined by Hawaiian photographer, Warren Bolster, in the June 1988 issue of California-based Surfer Magazine. Locals say that on a good day, the waves can reach more than six feet and even higher during the typhoon season.
