Hidden Bay Resort Mentawais

I had an amazing surfing experience in Hidden Bay Resort located in the “downtown” of the Playgrounds area. Alex, the owner, is a great host who looks after his guests in every aspect. He has an exceptional knowledge of surfing and always advises the best spot to surf.

Hidden Bay and Alex and his family are spectacular! The property is breath taking. Alex and Luana are super hospitible and make you feel like family. Food was all healthy and delicious. Staff is friendly and really makes sure you have everything you need. I highly reccomend this resort!

Alex and his family were the kindest and nicest people you can wish for, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food was ALWAYS amazing! The resort is just a few steps away from a beautiful beach, the nature there is incredible and enchanting.It was the best surf experience of my life :) and the best way to get away from reality for a while. I hope to come back soon!!!

Alex and Luana welcomed me into their home and provided a foundation for an epic surf experience with training, food and great accommodation. I became apart of the family and I will miss them greatly.

I caught so many dreamy waves under the guidance of my surf instructors and I trained on land with the personal trainer in between sessions and my surfing improved so much. Video analysis help me identify my shortcomings and the instructors worked with me to improve them

The Mentawais is Disney World for surfers and Alex makes sure to take you to the best breaks and conditions of the day. His knowledge about these waves is incredible.

Hidden Bay Surf Resort is a spot for both pros and intermediate surfers as they have two boats and can go to different locations at the same time.

They can also cater to any dietary restrictions as I’m gluten free and plant based and was more than sufficiently powered to surf twice a day everyday during my stay.

The staff is so sweet and will accommodate your every need.

For any groups or solo surfers this is a great spot to go to chase waves with Alex and I would especially recommend it for ladies traveling solo like me. You’re in safe and capable hands.

I have memories for life, I’m forever grateful and I can’t wait to go back again.
