The chill atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

Day to day, the trip got better and better. It's very easy to see the work that's gone into making surf cascais a great place to go for a wholesome surf/yoga retreat. The calendar on the wall makes it easy to know what's on, when and where to be and who's attending. The breakfast was great with homemade granola every day which I cannot recommend enough.

The volunteers are always on hand and engage positively with the guests. The instructors are surf and yoga through and through which really help to get you immersed into the lifestyle.

My surf progressed each day and the yoga session was exactly what was needed to help switch off. Everyone was completely chilled after and you can really feel the yoga effect in the villa after.

The BBQ event and video coaching session helped everyone to bond. I didn't have time to stop and realise how good the energy was but looking back on it, I realised it's all down to how well the surf cascais team run the place!

The decor in the villa is like a dream house! The rustic beach theme immerses you into the surf hipster way of life and. I really liked the logs hung up on the wall with strings hanging to hold the Polaroid snaps!

Great volunteers and instructors, great energy, Looking forward to returning! Easy recommendation!

The community

This was our first time at a surf camp, so we didn’t know what to expect, but we were beyond satisfied with every aspect of it. From the beautiful accommodation (the house was amazing), to the incredible staff (super helpful, fun, and always there to assist), and most importantly, the surf instructors who are fully dedicated and made the whole learning process super fun. Thanks to them, our entire group, all beginners, was able to progress so much in such a short time. We will definitely be coming back.

More so, the atmosphere in both the house and villa was also great. Everyone staying there was super friendly, and the family dinners and BBQs were such a nice way to connect with people and have a good time. We would highly recommend this place to everyone.

The surf camp was so well organised. Breakfast was delicious and had a range of options, including vegan. The vibe was good, all the coaches and volunteers were super hospitable and friendly. I feel like I improved massively even in just 3 days thanks to the video coaching. When we were out surfing, the coaches spent lots of time with each person and celebrated when we popped up successfully.

I was supposed to stay for 5 days and I ended up staying for 13. Surf Cascais is amazing: a very cozy atmosphere and high quality surfing lessons and yoga classes. The place feels like a home away from home. You will meet so many wonderful people and they will feel like friends in a very short time. Would recommend!

All the instructors were very motivated and this was passed on to all the participants. It was great fun for us beginners and we took a big step from zero to rock stars :)

I am 37 and it was my 1st surf in my life. I stayed for 1 week and had 1 or 2 surf sessions per day. Everything was PERFECT and greatly exceeded all the dream expectation that I had! I was in Heaven! Location, accomodation, food, atmosphere, video coaching, optional evening events, organization, vibes, Surf House and Surf Villa Team and all the AMAZING AND BEST IN THE WORLD surf instructors: Nic is a Miracle!❤️, thank you so much for giving me confidence and so much exposure to practicing and supporting with absolutely precious advice and giudance, Bica is Amazing!❤️, thank you so much for literally “hacking” my fears and giving me that unique sense of presence in the moment and the attitude “can do it”, Felipe is One Love!❤️, thank you so much for teaching me from the very beginning and helping me to come from my very first steps in surfing to progress, for giving me trust to myself in the Ocean and making it joyful and full of smiles and giving so many precious advice and help, Clau is a Sea Godess!❤️, and also teaches absolutely amazing yoga sessions - thank you so much for unprecented experience and all the miracle vibes you share around you!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the surf camp! The villa was stunning - spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, providing retreat after a day of surfing. The instructors were truly amazing and professional, guiding me every step of the way with patience and expertise, allowing me to progress remarkably in just one week. The atmosphere was so lovely and familiar, yet incredibly calming, making it the perfect place to unwind and immerse in the surf culture. I can't recommend this surf camp highly enough!

The Surf House was clean and cosy and the bedroom very comfortable. We had a great time with the surf lessons and relaxed with yoga! All the teachers are very knowledgeable and patient, also the volunteers are helpful and kindly.

The location is not far from the centre of Cascais and also near to Sintra: we took a beautiful bike tour into Sintra's forest and move forward to Cascais with car service and bus.

I had such a nice time staying at the surf villa with Surf Cascais. Everyone was so friendly - just the nicest atmosphere! Surf instructors were great with us beginners, very patient and provided lots of useful feedback. Yoga teachers were also super and created a very relaxing environment. The villa is really comfortable accomodation (I liked that there were sockets even on the top bunks) and the breakfast was a good selection. The family dinner I attended was delicious. Overall, it was good value for money, great fun and well organised - would recommend to anyone!

We really enjoyed our stay. The villa is very nice and well suited for welcoming groups and individuals.

The surf and yoga lessons were great, the teachers were good and patient with beginners. We saw progress very quickly.

I thought Pedro was a really great instructor! Very encouraging, supportive, and energetic. Even though I had not surfed in a while and struggled, I felt encouraged to keep going and laugh at all the wipeouts. The location is very beautiful and the beach is also very nice. It is out of the city center, so if you do not enjoy calmer environments this may not be for you. The family dinners were delicious! A great deal for only 15 euros. Breakfasts are standard hostel breakfasts with bread, spreads (jams, butter, meats, and cheese), yogurt, and granola.

The surfing can be difficult with not great conditions, so I would suggest you go for a longer time to have more opportunities for good conditions. There are two main beaches that you will go to, we mostly went to Carcavelos. Overall, a very fulfilling experience despite an injury that prevented me from being able to surf for my whole stay. I think this hostel encouraged building relationships with peers and also the instructors were very great, accommodating, and adaptable to conditions. Definitely would recommend Surf Cascais!

Breakfast was lovely, the house is super chill and clean. The surf lessons were very well led by the instructors, who always tried to make sure you have a good time in and out the water.

The photo coaching was brilliant, and super helpful. Really appreciate the tips and getting a few good photos.

Yoga was really relaxing but still just the right level of challenging. Probably would have seized up entirely without it!

Lastly, all the staff and volunteers laughed at my jokes - maybe they're obligated to but I appreciated it all the same!

It's the perfect spot if you are travelling solo, the villa is clean , beautiful and well organized, the swimming pool is a big plus, the instructors are empathic and passionate, the overall vibe is chill and open , I heartily recommend it!

The instructors are really friendly and always smiling. The surf lessons are fun and in the same time very instructive. As a first time ever surfer, I have learned a lot, and I think I will return to Surf Cascais.

Never did a surf camp before so didnt know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The house and rooms are really nice and the location is really pretty. All the instructors are really helpful and made the experience fun!

Surf Cascais has the best vibe! Everyone is super friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you have an awesome time. The lessons were really well structured and I always felt safe and supported in the water, even when the conditions weren't as good. All of the instructors are super fun and knowledgeable and make such an effort to ensure you are loving every second of your holiday.

The house is also beautiful and perfect to chill out in/work remotely/get a suntan and Alize the chef cooked some awesome family dinners.

I had a short stay at Surf Cascais and my only regret is that I wish it were longer!

All the volunteers and instructors at the camp were amazing and very welcoming. The surf training itself was quality and they managed to help me feel comfortable on the board within a few lessons!

The atmosphere at the camp is second to none with a real family vibe and a great experience for solo travellers like I was, I managed to enjoy the BBQ night on my last day which was extremely fun too.

All in all can't recommend it enough and I hope to come back soon!

The surf instructors and all the volunteers were so kind and helpful in every aspect of the trip (major shoutout to Stephanie!!) Not only were the surf instructors amazing surfers with their very best knowledge on hand, but they were patient and understanding with all the campers. They made it such a fun experience and I will definitely be coming back next year!

As for the house, the bedrooms and bathrooms were very accommodating and there was never an issue with either. Everyone had free range of the kitchen and was able to cook for themselves. The house was very comfy and cozy, the perfect environment to get to know all the other campers and feel at home!

the villa was always super clean, the timings were always super respected, great atmosphere, instructors great and very responding on the emails before my staying :) I will definitely return :)

I had a wonderful 10 days at Surf Cascais. Their team is organised, kind, energetic and yet flexible and easy-going. We would mostly go to the same spot (Carcavelos) and usually ended up there early enough to have a nice peak for us. I could seamlessly change boards depending on the conditions, and always felt safe being with their team of surf instructors (thank you Bica, Pedro x 2, Ugo and Stéphanie for dealing with all my last-minute changes haha).

Besides surfing, I was staying in their quiet, cosy and well-furnished apartment, which is not to far from Cascais city center (20-minute walk) and to the villa (5-euro uber) where I could hang out to meet with other guests.

I definitely recommend staying there, whether you are a beginner or an intermediate surfer! 🏄

Everything, I loved the family dinners, I loved the effort the volunteers were making to prepare the breakfast for us every morning, I like the energy of the instructors, always positive, they look like they really love what they do, i liked the villa, I liked the yoga lessons.. everything!

Wonderful people and very friendly atmosphere, I had equally good time surfing, doing yoga, hanging out around the pool or having a beer with guys. Super friendly and lovely atmosphere. 10/10 would do again.

La villa est agréable, toujours propre, avec une grande cuisine, un salon et une super piscine.

L'ambiance est très sympa, plutôt des jeunes, staff adorable et prêt à aider et les moniteurs de surf sont géniaux !

Des activités sont proposées (dîners, bbq, sunset dans les montagnes, shooting photo du surf et debriefing,...) puis il y a un petit bar sympa et on peut aller faire la fête à cascais après.

On a choisi le forfait 1 semaine avec une séance de surf par jour le matin et 2 cours de yoga, les cours étaient d'une grande qualité et grâce aux conseils des moniteurs on peut améliorer super rapidement notre niveau !

(Si vous êtes débutants comme nous je vous conseille de prendre une séance de surf et pas deux car c'est génial mais très fatigant, puis le reste de la journée on peut rester à la plage tranquille ou bien aller visiter cascais et les environs).

Villa was so cool. My heart is stolen by staff and surf instructors 😍 They are so friendly and responsive. And thanks to instructor Andy I caught my first wave on the first lesson!

Other than those few observations, my boyfriend and I had a great time. Good vibes, stunning villa, nice people to hand out with, great yoga sessions, lovely double room for couples in front of the pool, transfer services, communication (excellent! fast, flexible, kind), lovely sense of community, international feeling. We made friends, exchanged contacts and left with a smile on our faces. For the first time in my life I enjoyed waking up early to surf with great people and amazing scenery. The feeling of standing on your boars is unforgetabble!

I had a very good time at Surf Cascais! It was my first surf experience and it went really well, all instructors were very good and patient! Besides, the house is really pleasant and confortable. You get to meet a lot of new people, but you can also remain independent so, for me it's the perfect balance! At the end, the localization is really great, the beach where we went to surf is really beautiful, and Cascais is a really cute city!

It was such a unforgettable experience for me, from the surfing lessons and accommodation, everything was delivered with care and love and professionalism. The vibes in the whole group were super fun and a good mixture of people literally from everywhere.

The house is beautiful, the people is always nice and really open, the surf instructors are fantastic, super funny and really committed to help you with your surf skills! I came just for one week and I had to stay one more because I didn’t want to go!

What made this experience exceptional was the people behind Surf Cascais. Everybody we met from the surf/yoga instructors to the volunteers from the house was very welcoming and kind. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed. Thanks for everything!

Nice villa, cool atmosphere, a bit far from the Cascais, but to get Uber to the town is quite cheap. Great experience overall 😊

All about the surf camp was great: the hosts, the guests, the villa, and surfing and yoga sessions. Just as I have expected and desired. Friendly, amicable, and respectful vibe all around the place. Professional surfing training. Great retreat. Hard to find any drawbacks, really.

Bica is a joker and he used to perform gags in Jackass Team back in the day but now he keeps it secret.

David got his moustache once he went to Eastern Europe learning that it's in fashion. Both Pedros are twin brothers in fact. Henrique rolls with the babes in the weekends but on an usual day he doesn't want to admit it.

Randy creates new apps every now and then, being a multimillionaire, but he hates that so he keeps it easy. Ceci used to be a truck driver back in the 90's America. Bernardo is a ballet dancer.

They all make fantastic team of course.

The people at the surf camp made our week into an unforgetable experience! Even when it was hard to catch waves at Praia do Guincho, the mood was top. All fun nights and crazy days at Surf Cascais!
