Susantha is the owner of Sun Wind Beach and is Kalpitiya’s first local kiter. Having picked up the sport in 2007, Susantha is legendary in Kalpitiya and is often called "the flying man"! Always with a smile, Susantha is a hardworking and patient instructor with an excellent track record of getting students up and riding in no time. Susantha is a strong proponent of supporting local riders and has been instrumental in teaching his extensive clan of cousins kitesurfing. Safety and having fun on the water (with a smile) is a priority for Susantha’s students.

Lorans is Susantha’s only sibling who also operates KKD - the main kite mending business in the local area. Lorans is a gentle, dedicated and capable instructor with great attention to detail.

Juse is the cousin of Lorans and Susantha and is a strong and talented local kiter. Extremely humble and gentle, Juse’s kite tricks stop people in their tracks in wonderment. He is a patient and dedicated instructor and operates the rescue boat service for Sun Wind Beach. You will feel safe in Juse’s capable hands.
