Learn from Rui, a dedicated local surfer with three decades of experience. He provides a supportive, enjoyable, and confidence-building approach to help you ride your initial waves. With personalized tips, you will be on your way to becoming a proficient surfer.
This experience is specially designed for adults, from absolute beginners to those at an intermediate level, in either private sessions or small group formats. You will have five surf or paddle lessons, depending on the conditions, led by experienced instructors. Sea Krew selects the ideal surf spot each day for optimal wave riding. You will benefit from the expertise of a certified local surf instructor.
Morning kick-off with Rui

Rui, your skilled instructor, will meet you at the hotel at 10:30 a.m. to commence your day of surfing adventures.
2. Spot selection
The group will head to the day’s ideal surfing location, chosen based on ocean conditions, crowd levels, and the group’s overall skill set.
Surfing sessions
1. Warm-up and briefing
Begin with a quick warm-up followed by a comprehensive rundown of essential surfing techniques, including paddling, wave positioning, catching waves, standing, and riding the wave proficiently.
2. Step-by-step guidance
Expect detailed demonstrations of each technique to ensure you grasp the full extent of the surfing experience.
3. Safety and etiquette
Before entering the water, you will receive crucial safety guidelines and learn about proper surf etiquette.
Experience and enjoyment

You are likely to experience significant progress, perhaps even standing on the board. But most importantly, you will immerse yourself in the wonderful energy of the ocean and sun, finding inspiration in every moment.
2. Return and relaxation
The group will return to the hotel by 1:30 p.m. You might want to grab a meal, rest, or enjoy sunbathing at the nearby beach (just 20 meters from the hotel).

Rui Ferreira
A native of Ericeira, Rui has dedicated 30 years to mastering the art of surfing. For him, surfing transcends mere passion; it's a way of life. Rui's journey includes impressive feats as an international competitor and avid traveler, exploring diverse surfing destinations. His teaching credentials include being accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, and so Rui has been imparting his knowledge since 2004, focusing on training local talent and guiding international learners in developing their surfing prowess. On certifications, he holds Level 1 and 2 Certificates.

The camp will take place in Porto Novo, Torres Vedras, Portugal. With the beach just 10 meters away, guests are invited to indulge in water sports like surfing and sup paddle.
