Ripar Surf Camp

From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and part of the family. Diogo and Pipas are amazing people and instructors who know what they’re doing and take a lot of pride in their work.

Best part was the friends I made along the way at LemonTree hostel . Definitely coming back as soon as I can ♥️

Ripar surf school is really good structured. No mass handling of people. Always helping, watching the safety und teaching a lot. Especially for beginners its one of the best opportunities.

Accomodation was okay, everything needed was included but not more.

To Summarize I dont think you wont find a better price for this value. I will definitive book again.

Nice worm and friendly people, surf conditions and accommodation.

Pin point the errors of my surfing habit to improve fast from the instructors.

If you have an off day rent a car and travel around to Lisbon or Nazare are some other activities you can do.

Everything about this surf camp was great. The people, the instructors, the facilities and the area itself. The surfing bay is just 5-10 mins walk away from the hostels and having lessons twice a day really makes a big difference. If you are looking for a busy touristic area with a vibrant nightlife you should probably look elsewhere as this is the perfect place to have some peace and quiet. Truly incredible value for money!

The instructors where so nice even if there where a lot of people they managed to take time to help you and it is super funny, the hostel i stayed was so neat, super cool location just 5' away from the surfscool. Every day they cleanded and i would defenitly come back a second time..

Surf lessons were excellent; we were in the beginner's group. The instructors were professional, helpful, and fun. They provided assistance and feedback to every member of the group. You will be standing up and surfing in no time.

Our stay at Lemon Tree House was amazing, exceeding all expectations. It offered everything we anticipated and more. The highlight was definitely the big garden with hammocks, a hangout area and a fig tree.

The weekly group dinner featured delicious local food. Fernando and the others at the house were very friendly and always ready to assist with anything.

The entire area is incredibly beautiful and filled with places to explore. The entire experience surpassed our expectations. I have nothing negative to mention and I wholeheartedly recommend Ripar Surf Camp. We will certainly return. Obrigado!

I had just a great time. The lovely camp, the greatest instructors, the awesome people. Thank you so much for having me, for the things I have learnt and that you were always with us, side by side. The small town makes it very welcoming and safe, restaurants are great, many by the beach and inexpensive. Instructors are good, and the spot is perfect for beginners and intermediate. Good weather most days :) The host was super accommodating to help me stay longer so I can surf more days :)

I was really enjoying my stay at Lemon tree camp as well as surfing lessons with Ripar surf school. Team are extremely friendly. Instructors were always happy to explain in details about the ocean, surfing etc. Thanks to them I improved my level and I would like to come back more and more!

All the surf instructors in the beginners class are supportive and I learned a lot! The lemon tree surf hostel is very comfortable and has a pretty garden where you can hang out with other guests at the hostel. The location is convenient -- around 10min walk to the Ripar surf school, Spar supermarket and Rede Expressos bus stop. The staff who works at the hostel is very welcoming; she organised a dinner at the garden and made Mirabelle plum cake with the fruits that grow in the garden. I had a great time and hope to come back one day, thank you all!

We had a great time and the instructors were friendly and professional with very clear and patient instructions, so it’s okay if you can't swim🤣 Highly recommended!

Cool instructors, place, you get for what you pay,

1. Best surf instructors - highly professional that take time to work on your skills and make sure that you understand and learn all the basics and skills you need.

2. Great camp and beautiful location of neptune House - Close to the beach and very spacious and comfortable

3. Amazing community - made new friends and a lot of activities after surfing

The place is beautiful, the accommodation is nice and cozy and the community is very friendly.

The instructors are great, thanks to them we learned well and quickly and had a whole lot of fun!

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean with everything you need. The surf instructors were very friendly and helpful, we went to different beaches and it was an amazing experience!

I really enjoyed doing this surfcamp. The classes were intense and it allowed us to learn. They were always on time and searching the best condition and place for us to surf.

We spent a lot of time in the water and they were very aware about safety!

Everything was amazing, from the surf instructors, the location, the accommodation, nice village with everything you need for a relaxed holiday, with friendly people, staff and also guests. Good value for money.

My trip to Praia de Areia Branca exceeded my expectations!

Our house host and coincidentally surf instructor, Gonzalo, met me at the bus stop and gave me a short tour of the town and showed me to the house and my bedroom. The Neptune surf house was clean and tidy, my bed was comfortable and there was a lovely balcony which had brilliant views of the beach. Gonzalo did an amazing job of looking after all of us that were staying there. Nobody knew each other on arrival but we soon became good friends thanks to the surf lessons and Gonzalo organising a couple of activities outside of surfing, like a group dinner in town or drinks on a beach bar. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and looked after. For example, I realised I needed to take a covid test before I flew back to the UK so Gonzalo's brother kindly organised and drove me to a nearby town and back so I could get one done. The breakfast was simple but perfect for a full day out in the sea.

All in all it was a fantastic week filled with loads of surfing, laughs and good vibes all round. The trip was incredible value for money and i'll definitely be planning another visit in the near future :)

Everything I wanted and more! I had an amazing stay in a piece of paradise. Praia is really small which makes it easy to socialise with other travelers as well as with locals. The hostel was perfect and host Jerome is just the sweetest. Nice areas to socialise (= take naps together after surfing....) in the house and on the terrace!

Surfing classes were intense but absolutely wonderful. Groups were never too big so everyone got enough attention and most people were catching waves om the first day already :) The instructors are amazing and keen to get to know everyone.

If all you want to do is surf, lay on the beach, socialise and go to some beach party - this is absolutely the place to go. :)
