During this program, you will be accommodated in apartments close to the center. It has free parking and it is good that it is close because, around the surf beach, there is a problem with parking. The terrace of the apartments has no sea views but it allows guests to enjoy a refreshing beverage on the hot summer evenings. It is located in a very relaxed and quiet area. The apartment has a nice garden around it with a barbecue area that you can use. Each apartment has a kitchen, toilet, and a nice terrace. It also comes with free Wi-Fi and an air-conditioner.

Programma

Viganj is one of the most well-known windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in Croatia because it is situated in the middle of a narrow channel between Peljesac and Korcula. The wind tends to blow twice as fast as it usually does in the Adriatic, providing ideal conditions for kitesurfing and for learning how to kitesurf.

Getting to know your equipment (and how to rigg it)
Basics of the wind and safety and the rules of right of way
Start and the right position on windsurfing

Returning to the starting point

The windsurf course lasts two hours every day for four days, mainly in the morning as the wind is lighter and easier to start. This course lasts eight hours. In the first lesson, the whole theory, which takes place on the simulator (30 minutes), is carried out. The rest of the time the participants spend with the teacher on the water.

In the theoretical part, you will deal with topics such as wind directions, sail positions, turning maneuvers, and courses to the wind. After this course, you will be able to surf independently and come back to your starting point. After the course, you will get a VDWS license. After the second day's lesson, you can use the equipment for four days of unlimited hours.

De eerste optie is om met de bus te komen, maar de dienstregeling verandert en in de zomer zijn er meestal meer verbindingen. Er gaat dagelijks een bus om 9.00 uur en om 17.00 uur van Dubrovnik naar het stadje Orebic (zeven kilometer). In Orebic kan een taxi worden geregeld en die kost 90 HRK. De busreis van Dubrovnik naar Orebic duurt twee uur en 20 minuten. Terug vertrekt de bus om 16.00 uur vanuit Orebic. De tweede optie is om met de snelle veerboot (catamaran) van Dubrovnik naar Korcula te reizen. Er zijn twee lokale maatschappijen. De eerste is JADROLINIJA. Die vertrekt om 7.00 uur van Dubrovnik naar Korcula en vaart terug van Korcula naar Dubrovnik om 19.25 uur. De tweede maatschappij voor de snelle veerboot is KRILO JET. Die vertrekt om 16.00 uur en 16.30 uur vanuit Dubrovnik en komt aan om 17.45 uur en 18.25 uur in Korcula. Terug vertrekt de boot om 10.00 uur en 10.30 uur. De prijs voor een enkeltje is 20 EUR per persoon.

De eerste optie is met de veerboot - de beste en goedkoopste. Er zijn twee verschillende snelle veerboten. De eerste snelle veerbootmaatschappij is KRILO JET. Deze vertrekt om 7:30 uur, 7:40 uur, 10:00 uur en 17:00 uur van Split naar Korčula. Je komt na twee uur en 20 minuten tot drie uur aan in Korčula. Een enkeltje kost 20 EUR. Dat hangt af van het tijdstip waarop je gaat. In Korčula kan gratis ophalen per boot worden geregeld als de chauffeurs beschikbaar zijn, of er kan een watertaxi voor je worden gestuurd (28 EUR). Van Korčula naar Split vertrekt de boot weer om 6:00 uur, 13:00 uur, 17:55 uur en 18:35 uur. De tweede veerbootmaatschappij is JADROLINIJA. Die vaart van Split om 15:30 uur van Split naar Korčula, en komt in Korčula aan om 19:10 uur. Slechts één keer per dag. De terugreis is om 9:15 uur en aankomst is om 12:55 uur. Dit is echt een fijne manier om naar de locatie te komen, omdat er op dat tijdstip geen hoge golven zijn en je dus geen last zou moeten hebben van zeeziekte. De tweede optie is met de bus, maar die vertrekt om 1:00 uur ’s nachts naar Orebić en komt om 6:00 uur ’s ochtends aan. Daarna brengt een taxi je naar Viganj, dat ongeveer zeven kilometer verderop ligt en rond de 15 EUR kost.
