What stood out most was the detailed instruction and how skilled and professional the coaches were.

Awesome staff and spot to learn to surf. Tiago was my main point of contact before my trip and during my schooling, and communication throughout it all was great - from the booking and the online message service, to whatsapp-ing and in person during my stay. He gave lots of useful local information as well as loads of support while learning. Bernado and Jorge were my two main coaches and they were both brilliant! They gave a lot of clear, constructive advice and coaching everyday. The whole team at Onda Pura were fun, enthusiastic and really friendly. Feeling so welcomed helped bring the best out of me too! All the staff were very kind, helpful and nothing seemed to ever be too much trouble. It was a brilliant experience for me and would recommend Onda Pura for any other first time surfers looking to learn.

I booked the package with the hostel stay and am very happy with it. The hostel is a short walk from the surf school and nice and clean with a kitchen and lots of common area space.

The surf school is great! The classes are really good, the instructors pay attention to your progress and make sure you get the help you need to improve. On top they are great people :)

My overall experience was great. Onda Pura team took very good care of us, communication was excellent, they made sure everything goes well and provided extra information which was very helpful. Surf lesson were great, even when the conditions were not ideal, they made sure we learn the technique. Thanks to the instructors and five days of surf lessons in a row I could really feel the improvement.

I also liked the accommodation, it was very comfortable and the the owner was friendly. The location was also perfect, close to the beach, market and easy to get to Porto city centre after lessons.

I cannot describe how much I loved this week with Onda Pura. All instructors & the crew were so welcoming and lovely - never have I felt out of placed or lonely. Two sessions for 5 days were ideal for me and if flexibility was needed, I got the support. Over the week, I improved my surfing immensely and this is all thanks to my instructor! They were always available for any questions you may have. I got to meet amazing new people while I stayed there and I miss is already :)

The hotel was also very close, got supermarkets and nice restaurants nearby. If you want to make a trip to the city, the bus stop was also easily reached.

Overall, I can only recommend the experience which has been very well organized! Thank you all so much!

The whole experience was lovely - the facilities, organization, equipment, stuff etc. My shout out goes to the instructors who were really paying attention to each student, correcting them when needed and encouraging when afraid. They made me feel safe. Well done!! Looking forward to surfing with Onda Pura again soon.

The people at the accommodation Casa Rietsch were very helpful, kind and welcoming. Maybe younger people would prefer to ask for a place with shared dorms and kitchen, but for us it was perfect.

The organization (reception, Marcelo and Roger) were super kind and helpful.

All the instructors were fantastic, they gave a lot of precise personal advice so we felt we improved a lot and are much more autonomous.

Maybe special big ups to Matteus and Alex from us, but all the other instructors (Antonio, Jason, Phillip, Marcelo and one who we only saw doing the briefing) were also super professional and dedicated.
