Local Surf Maroc keep the group sizes intentionally small with a maximum of five surfers per coach to ensure every session is focused, balanced, and tailored to your goals. This is so no one feels held back when they’re ready to progress or left behind if they need a bit more time mastering a skill. Small groups also let them create a surfing holiday experience that’s unique and personalized to you.

The certified Moroccan surf coaches provide structured, step-by-step guidance that meets you where you are and helps you move forward with clarity.

If you’re riding white water, they’ll help you read waves, improve your positioning, and start turning. The surf instructors will help you read the waves and where they break so you can master your turns. If you’re feeling ambitious, you’ll even paddle out to the green waves and give them a try. Able to catch green waves but struggling to be consistent? Looking to try out a different surf board but feel unsure which one to try?

Already surfing regularly but stuck at a plateau? They’ll help you refine your take-offs, tighten turns, and experiment with different boards to match your style and progression.

Local Surf Maroc’s Surf Coaches are knowledgeable and will make the best suggestion for your surf ability, and maybe even suggest a challenge if you’re up for it! The surf coaches review surf conditions daily and on the spot to make sure the conditions are suitable for your progression as well. This means they might suggest a different board to try or change the surf spot at the last second so you can get the most out of your surf sessions.

They recommend a minimum stay of seven day to help you see the most progression in your surfing. However, any length of stay with them you will be sure to build on the fundamentals you already know, increase your confidence in your ability, and expand your surf theory knowledge.

While they take surfing seriously, they aren’t a boot camp! Any surf lesson or activity can be skipped and an alternative activity arranged (please note some charges may apply). Your stay with them is your experience and the aim is to make sure you leave Morocco with the best memories.

Daily schedule

At Local Surf Maroc, the focus is in progression and this requires a personalized approach for each level they teach. How do they do this? Surf instructors check the conditions the night before and make a prediction on what time is best to surf and which surf spot is likely to be working for your level. This is to ensure that you get the most out of each surf session.

The times listed below are therefore tentative and subject to change as no prediction can be 100% accurate.

• 08:30 - 09:30 Breakfast
• 09:30 - 10:00 Pack for the beach: get ready to surf!
• 10:00 - 10:30 Check surf spots before making a final decision to settle down
• 10:30 - 12:30 Time to learn! Your surf lesson starts on the beach before paddling out
• 12:30 - 13:30 Lunch time
• 13:30 - 16:00 Chill on the beach or paddle out again for supervised, independent practice of what you just learned!
• 16:00 - 16:30 Pack up and head back to the Surf House
• 16:30 - 19:00 Down time to check out Taghazout Bay or schedule an extra activity
• 19:00 - 20:00 Sunset yoga
• 20:00 Dinner time
• 20:45 Video or photo analysis for the evening
