Let Us Surf

Wir hatten ein super schönes Zimmer und es gibt zwei tolle Terrassen. Unsere Surflehrer waren sehr nett und wenn es eine größere Gruppe war wurden wir in zwei Gruppen aufgeteilt. Das Essen war extrem lecker, besonders das Frühstück und Abendessen.

Had a fantastic time here. The surf, the food the people were all wonderful. The instructors were very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. Chilled evenings on the roof top watching sunset and hanging out. I travelled solo and it was completely fine exploring the local area. Mounir and Julia were excellent hosts and very accommodating when I arrived earlier than check in. My room was clean and airy. I would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to go back.

Real close-knit vibe, breakfast, dinner and activities together made getting to know everyone natural, while keeping space in the day to do things as small groups/individuals.

The people at Let us Surf are so welcoming and warm, they immediately made me feel at home in a continent I had never been before. When the waves were too big to surf, they made an effort to arrange another activity - we went sand boarding which was very fun! The food is incredible and abundant. And the surf classes were good quality, as far as I can assess as a beginner hahah. But the people definitely are what made the stay worthwhile - we had great nights drinking and talking on the rooftops, the hosts invited us for dinner in Agadir, and one of the surf instructors even made the effort to join me for an evening trip to Taghazout :)

Had a fantastic stay at let us surf. Simo was the instructor for my stay and he was great at gauging the different levels we were all at and catering the instruction to that level so that each person in the group progressed in their surfing. The food was fantastic. It was my first time in Morocco so I really wanted to try a tagine. Mentioned this to Julia at breakfast and we had tagine for dinner that night! The accommodation was clean and well looked after, as well as beautifully decorated. This was my first trip abroad as a female solo traveller and I felt really safe exploring the neighbourhood & town alone.

I have had a wonderful stay at let us surf, and I will look forward to booking again in the near future!

This surf camp is outstanding. The accommodation is comfortable and clean with hot showers and a beautiful rooftop view. The food is delicious and all prepared by the aunt with plenty of vegetarian options. The equipment for surfing is more than sufficient and the teaching is excellent - I made a lot of improvement in just one day thanks to Simo's guidance/instructions. Really friendly hosts and some fun card games to pass the time. There is good WiFi but it's really not necessary because the social element is really there. They offer other activities too like yoga and massages but we didn't purchase those. We had a fantastic time; family run, affordable, and a great time. We'd definitely recommend!

There was a really nice vibe amongst the group - likeminded people interested in adventure and travel. The whole set up is pretty chilled and a great way to switch off from work or normal routines at home and really feel a long way from home (in a good way)

The breakfast and dinners were fantastic - such a great range of dishes and it was nice to all eat together.

Great waves. Good equipment. The instructors were amazing. They know their stuff and are well known in the local scene which made things very easy. The food was amazing. Home cooked.

Good people, good vibes

You felt just like home. The dinner and breakfast was delicious. Mounir was a very nice host and Simo a very fun and competent surf instructor. Each breakfast and dinner was shared with one member of the team, sow we got to know each other real good in this short amount of time. You'll see us again! :)

We had the most wonderful experience at this surf school. From the very first moment, you can feel that it’s a family-run business – there’s so much warmth, care, and genuine humanity in the way we were welcomed. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, but at the same time the attention to detail in the lessons and whole experience, is outstanding.

The instructors don’t just teach you to surf; they take the time to really notice you, to give thoughtful feedback, this helping to create a sense of trust that made us feel safe and supported in the water. Their kindness and patience shine through, and that combination of professionalism with care felt very special.

For us, it became more that about learning to stand up on a board – we felt part of something, where we were encouraged to be ourselves, try things and have fun in a ways that will stay with us (long after the surf lesson ended!).

Starting the day with a communal breakfast and coming back after the waves to delicious home-cooked food made the whole experience even more special. We loved eating together, sharing stories, jokes, companionship, cultures, and generally being welcomed around the table - it made the trip all the more special, making this place unique and unforgettable.

We werden goed ontvangen en hebben vier geweldige surfdagen gehad. Mounir en Julia zijn erg gastvrij en zijn erg betrokken. Het eten was lekker en goed. De surflessen werden aangepast op je niveau. We hebben een onvergetelijke tijd gehad!

Everything was perfect ! Mounir and Julia are very welcoming.

The stay was really well organized. Everyday you have amazing dishes prepared with typical Moroccan food.

Special mention to Simo who is always in a good mood and that will take really goods pics of you surfing !

Everything exceeded my expectations. The friendliness from all of the staff was extremely welcoming and makes you feel at ease straight away. They went above and beyond for me with allowing me to choose my own board to hire from a surf shop to suit the conditions of the waves that day, they did not need to do this but were more than happy to and I very much appreciated this. The food was actually amazing, 3 meals prepared for us each day with traditional Moroccan dishes was just perfect!! Simo is a world class photographer and all round legend who helped make the trip one I’ll remember forever. Walid was a great instructor and always a pleasure to be around too. They always wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time and they did a great job of that. I’m glad to say I’ve made great friends with not only fellow travelers on this trip, but also the members of the team. I can’t wait to come back again soon!!

We spent 5 days with Julia and Mounir, and I wish we could have stayed longer! Loved the place, the house is really taken care of. Loved the breakfast and the slow mornings. I had never surfed before, but Khalid taught us so well that I felt confident in no time. They always made sure we were safe in the ocean and if something happened they immediately helped us. Felt very safe during surfing!

I'm already planning my next stay with Let Us Surf! Thank you, Julia and Mounir, for such an incredible experience. Can't wait to come back!

I booked a last minute trip with Let Us Surf after deciding a wanted to learn how to surf! The whole trip was even better than I expected. Mounir and Julia are great hosts and will go out of their way to help everyone.

The location, food and people were great! As someone who went by themself, I didn’t feel left out once, and we all celebrated New Year together.

The surf instructors were great and made it really easy for everyone to learn quite quick.

Have already made plans with them to return within the next year!

The surfcamp is quite small, which creates a familiar atmosphere. It's a great place to meet new people and make connections. The owners and all staff are very nice and welcoming. The food was always fresh and amazing and will definitely fill you up. The house is not far from restaurants and shops and offers good sunset views.

From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. Some highlights:

- small classes mean personalized and detailed advice to improve surfing

- knowledgeable instructors: every piece of advice I received immediately improved my technique

- great food and vibes: Mounir, Julia and their family were a pleasure to be around and made the experience more than just surfing. Moroccan home made food is killer and Mama Fatima is an exceptional cook

- Tamraght was a much more chill experience than nearby tagazhout

I‘ve spend a wonderful week at let us surf camp! The hostel is super cozy and mounir and Julia are the best hosts you can imagine! They made you feel like at home. The surf lessons were also really good and in one week I learned a lot! I would recommend everyone to go there if you want to spend a nice and funny time with lots of surfing and the best food from Mounirs mother Fatima, who cooks all the food everyday! It’s really the best!!

Also the atmosphere between the surf instructors and the people living and surfing there was so nice and really funny! It was my first time in Morocco and I definitely will come back and of course to this hostel!

Our hosts were absolutely amazing – so friendly, welcoming, and helpful with anything we needed. The food was mind-blowing, some of the best I’ve ever had, which added an extra layer of enjoyment to the trip. Our surfing instructor was incredibly devoted and professional, making sure we all progressed at our own pace while keeping the sessions fun and engaging. Overall, I had a fantastic time, and I would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking for a perfect balance of adventure and great company.

Everything was amazing. Julia and Mounir are amazing hosts who create a very good atmosphere for people to thrive in.

Mounir's family is so welcoming. Between his very skilled mum and aunt who cook delicious homemade meals (certainly the best cuisine in Tamraght) and his very friendly pro surfer brother Hicham, everyone was so welcoming.

Definitely recommend to enjoy not only as a surfing camp but also as a cultural trip.

Mounir and Julia are great people you can talk to for hours on their beautiful terrace about anything under the sky. The food served by Mounir's mother and aunt was very delicious. The surf experience was also great! We were taken to different beaches based on the waves each day. I was able to catch some waves on my own by the 3rd day. I liked the hostel environment so much that even after I left the camp to do a trip of my own, I cut my trip short and came back to spend one last night at the hostel.

Julia was so sweet to gift me some of her Verbena tea bags for my wife. :)

The surf tips from the instructors were great and very useful. Very pleasant stay in the hostel. The food was delicious and abundant. Would definetely come back again.

Julia and Mounir were very accommodating hosts, they provided excellent service and mixed with our group very well! We loved the food offered and couldn't say a bad word about our stay in Tamraght. Khalid was a great surf instructor and well-rounded tour guide with plenty of stories to tell us. The travel advice and wisdom offered by all three of them made this trip an unforgettable one!

It was my first time surfing, and I was quite scared of standing up on the surfboard. However, my instructor, Khalid, gave me some confidence, and Ssamad reviewed my problems. So, I was finally able to surf!! I really recommend this place, and the food is very Moroccan-style.

This was my first time surfing and my first time in Morocco. Excellent experience, excellent food, very friendly people always there if you need something. Khalid was a great instructor, always trying to get the best out of the situation. I hope someday we can reverse roles and I can teach him how to ski.

Mounir and Khalid were very welcoming and looked after us really well throughout the whole trip. The accommodation was well kept and maintained alongside the lovely rooftop terrace overseeing the coast and providing pretty sunrises and sunsets. Furthermore, the home cooked food provided was tasty on all occasions and was always on time. The portion of food and number of dishes cooked was beyond what I expected! and needless to say that the hospitality provided went above and over what I anticipated - Great place with great atmosphere and great people.

Everything about my time with Let Us Surf was fantastic, from the welcome the moment I arrived to the evening that I left. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly that I instantly felt at home and made friends that will hopefully last.

The location is ideal, being only a few minutes drive to one of several beaches. As a total surfing beginner, I was incredibly pleased to see that with Mounir's guidance, I was able to pick up the basics and make real progress.

The food is all delicious and homemade as well, with the sardine kofte tagine being a particular highlight. As someone who loves food, it was a great experience and I enjoyed every meal I had.

If you're looking for a quick break somewhere new and fancy trying surfing, I cannot recommend this place enough. I'm already thinking about going back in the hopefully not too distant future.

Mounir, Khalid, Mounir's mum, Julia are an incredible team who made my short stay in Tamraght a wonderfully relaxing, enjoyable and authentic Moroccan experience. Would highly recommend staying at their wonderful home to anyone

The camp was perfect value for the price which included a comfortable and clean living space, great shower and toilet facilities, free wifi, 3 excellent filling meals each day, surf hire and guidance from the hosts plus free surf sessions in the afternoon.

Definitely worth ever penny spent

This was my first solo trip, so nerves were high! Walking into the house, my nerves immediately went - Mounir and Julia were so welcoming and so engagement throughout!

The vibe is beautifully chilled, which is directly due to Mounir and Julia’s relaxed personalities!

The food, all cooked by Fatima (Mounir’s Mother) was exceptional - I was actually annoyed I ate out in Agadir one evening instead of having another lovingly prepared tagine!

Mounir’s surf teaching was top notch, super clear instructions and enough autonomy to push thing further if you want - the beaches are beautiful!

Also a special shoutout to Mounir’s younger brother, Hisham - this 14 year old legend took us out surf skating each evening, teaching us the ways so well, and showing us some really cool skills!

All in, this was an exceptional trip, and I was gutted to go home! I will be back again very soon!!

I spent 5 amazing days at LetUsSurf, arrived with 0 surfing experience but managed to catch a couple waves pretty soon thanks to Khalid habibi best instructor in the world. The atmosphere was super welcoming with true Moroccan hospitality - it literally felt more like being hosted by a family rather than staying at the hostel. We had amazing food made by auntie Fatima (i NEED the chicken tajine recipe pls make some cooking classes) and shared meals all together at the rooftop over conversations and some nice views :) Other guests at the camp were super chill too, great great vibes. Deffffinitely coming back soon! ❤️

I had an amazing and unforgettable time at let us surf. I had Khalid as an instructor and he was great! As well as Hicham and Nouaman helping him out! They are all so kind and fun 🫶 I was a complete beginner and able to catch some waves at the end which left me satisfied with my level :) 🏄‍♀️

I arrived solo but the environment in the hostel was immediately welcoming and I felt part of the family- the other guests were awesome and it is more like a home stay than a hostel since we all eat meals together and play games every evening!

The food is also so good and authentic- all cooked by the owners mother- Fatima really looked after us well!

I had Khalid (I never got the spelling:() as a surf instructor for the week and he was absolutely amazing!

He had two teenage boys helping him and they were fantastic surf instructors as well

Everyone was super helpful and amazingly talented at surf instructing

I managed to go from a complete beginner to being able to paddle out to the line up to catch a wave or two!

The atmosphere in the hostel is welcoming and I felt comfortable straight away. We were specifically told; make yourselves at home we want you to feel welcome

Since there are a limited number of beds, all of us in the surf camp got quite close and it was more like a mini family for the week than strangers I had never met before

I am 100% going to be coming back here I could not recommend it enough

It was an amazing moment. Everything was perfect. I felt like home. Khalid was a very good instructor + he was always there to help you or also simply to share a good moment with you. The other people that come to this surcamp are always very nice. It is an unique moment that I really recommend to live at least once.

+ the food was FANTASTIC!! Everything is made with love and passion at this hostel.

Absolutely everything!

We were max 3 people in one surfing group (sometimes even alone) which gave me the chance to significantly improve my surfing with one of the best surfers in Tamraght (Mounir). The food is every day cooked by Mounirs mum, which is outstanding and purely Moroccan. The fact that the surf camp fits max. 10 guests leads to an amazing atmosphere, rather a family than a camp. Always good vibes and lots of fun with Mounir and Julia. The location is amazing since we always had the choice between three beaches (point and beach breaks). Surf course is for beginners, intermediates and advanced. Trust me, they really pushed my limits and I am so thankful for that! For the extra fit ones is additionally yoga course in morning and evening.

Overall an amazing experience with many new friends for a really small price!

I'll come back as soon as I can.

Alle waren hilfsbereit, gastfreundlich und nett. Die Zimmer und Duschen sind sehr sauber. Mein Highlight war die Dachterasse. Beide Surflehrer waren sehr kompetent. Ich hatte eine tolle unvergessliche Zeit und komme bestimmt wieder.

This was my first experience in Morocco as a solo female traveler and it was a great choice! The environment is very laid back and welcoming and the surf house is clean and well located. To top it off the food is absolutely delicious! A taxi from the airport was easily arranged and I was warmly greeted by Julia and Mounir before being introduced to the rest of the guests. I really appreciated the small group size and definitely saw major improvements in my surfing! I would 1000% recommend, I ended up booking two extra nights and will definitely be back!

Mounir and Julia are amazing! I felt so welcome in their home and the food was incredible, all of the surf instructors were super helpful and lovely and I felt like I progressed my surfing alot while having fun. Khalid is a great driver 🤙

I had such an amazing week here with Julia and Mounir. They make you feel so comfortable and I felt so at home I didn’t want to leave.

The food is incredible! It’s authentic Moroccan, homemade meals and they change it up every day.

I had such a great week learning to surf, and picked it up so much quicker than I thought I would with their help. They provided a change of board for me when I needed it and they were always searching for the best beach to take us to that day instead of just taking us to whatever was closest. I can’t recommend LetUsSurf enough, they really go the extra mile to make it an enjoyable experience and I would come back in a heartbeat.

Exactly what you want from a surf holiday. Great instructors, great waves, great housing and the greatest local food you can have. Not a thing I would want different. Absolute perfection.

Had the most amazing week staying at Let Us Surf.

Mounir and Julia were amazing hosts and the surf lessons from Samad and Abdula were awesome. They turned me from a very beginner to somewhat of a surfer.

Fatima (Mounir's mothers) did all the cooking and the food was absolutely amazing. We ate so many different traditional Moroccan dishes which I will miss dearly!!

The house/ camp is a little walk away from the beach but it gives you one of the best spots to watch the sunset which was beuatiful every night!!

Tamraght is an awesome little village with some sick surf spots and I can't wait to return and visit my now new friends!

I like atmosphere which was so familiar and domestic. Every guest become part of familiy. Landscape is quite and nice and perfect for getting good energy and rest properly. I was sceptic about surfing but our surf instructors make it easy and enjoying. Yoga classes in evening was perfect after surfing day. I was not much in morrocain food (it was mine third time in Morocco), but after tasting food in surf camp (real domestic food-I definitley changed my mind).Company of our instructors and Julia made this time in camp nice, intresting and we get more knowleadge about morrocain culture and this days become part of it.

Everybody involved in Let Us Surf made my stay full of fun and joyful. They all make you feel welcomed and take care of everything. You only need to enjoy your stay. I'm happy that I found this little surf camp full of kind, sweet, caring people who make an inclusive atmosphere so you feel like you belong there. Surf lessons were super fun and I enjoyed the fact that we visited different surf spots and experienced different conditions. All surf instructors are very knowledgable, helpful and great motivators and make your surf lessons super fun. Khalid, who is the most generous and positive person, Abdullah, with his calm energy and humorous comments and Mounir with his friendly and professional approach. I learned something from each of them.

Mounirs mom is the sweetest woman who cooks the most delicious food. I can't remember the last time I ate so much as I did there.

Finally, I don't want to forget about Julia, who makes the best photos and videos and with whom you can talk about anything.

All in all, my stay exceeded all my expectations. Primarily thanks to the kind and caring people I met there.

Our week was spent with Abdullah, the owner's cousin, as the owner of the surf hostel was away, and it was, simply put an incredible week! The food was just to die for, our beautiful auntie cooked the most authentic, fresh and delicious food for us every day, which really set us up for surfing. We went surfing every day, and I loved the fact that we would mix up the surf spots so we could really learn about different wave conditions and swells. In the evenings, Abdullah went above and beyond for us, and the dynamic quickly became friends rather than surf instructor/student. We ate together, partied together and laughed together. Liv and myself felt like we were part of the family, the atmosphere was so caring and attentive. Couldn't have asked for a more wonderful introduction to Morocco, thank you Abdullah <3

We enjoyed everything at our stay! Mounir is a really fit, smart and kind person. He drove us to the best spots for the day, with his own car and a taxi. The hostel had a really nice roof top, where we had breakfast and dinner together and had the best sunset view. Every meal was selfmade next door. Best part was the butter mixed with honey.

The surf house is a bit up the hill. So it's really quiet and you can enjoy the silence. A mini market and a tabac store are not far away.

The surf groups were never bigger than five, so we had a real face-to-face instructions.

We had a great time at mounirs place 'Let us surf' and would definitely come back!

Mounir is the most welcoming and friendly person I have ever met. He and his Girlfriend took care of everything and they were always there to help. Food was beyond my expectations and one is only served real local recipes. Surfing was great and the waves were perfect for any skill level. Mounir always individually gives one hints on how to improve and by the end of the week one could really notice the progress one had made. The accommodation had everything one needs, I stayed in a shared room. The highlight has to be the rooftop, with a stunning view of the sea and village, and the perfect place to chill, after an exhausting day of surfing.

All in all, I would say this was my best surf experience l had and if you are on a budget, but still want to get the full experience, this is the place to go.

I stayed 5 days at Let us surf in early March and had a super relaxing holiday. The food was delicious and allowed me to discover authentic Moroccan cuisine. I was travelling solo (as a female) and there weren't many guest when I was there but Mounir and Julia made me feel at home/like family and confortable the whole time. The house is super clean and well maintained, and has a nice rooftop terrace to relax that overlooks the bay. It is at the top of the hill in the village, but everything is walking distance. The days were well organized and I was able to get a lot of personalized attention during my sessions (unlike the other groups I saw on the beach with huge groups of students for a few instructors) which was great!
