Portugal Surf Camp
This package is perfect for intermediate and advanced surfers that can move independant in the water and already surf with a fiberglass or epoxy board and want to improve their surfing skills & techniques on riding all kinds of green waves - the focus is on the details. You will train in the water surfing different spots (mainly point breaks) for your level and for the objectives that you are going to planned after the 1 session. In this surf level the group is smaller so you can take more advantage of the coaching. You can add video analyze too.

The Hostel & Surfcamp 55 is located in the center of Ericeira in front of the ocean. Here, you will find the true feeling of surfing, skate, music, and travel. The house can accommodate up to 21 guests in seven thematic rooms with a sea view. The four- and six-bed dorms have private bathrooms. The private rooms are equipped with a washbasin and guests have access to shared bathrooms.
There is also a lounge area where you can relax with friends. Surf lessons, guiding, and equipment are all available onsite. Hostel 55 has a strong artistic component with hand-painted art in every room. You can use all of the surf house's facilities such as free Wi-Fi, airport transfers, skate, living room, kitchen, lounge area, terrace, barbecue facilities, etc.
Programma
This package is perfect for people who loves surfing, especially intermediates and advanced. The surf team has extensive knowledge about Ericeira waves with more than 20 years of experience and having traveled all over the world to surf. The main coach teaches at the Portuguese Surf Federation new coaches.
Surf lessons
To provide the best possible progress for you, you will be taught in small groups with excellent surf teachers. These small groups provide more personal attention for you and create a familiar atmosphere. There will be different surf coaches and surf spots for different surfing levels. The surf spot and schedule for each level of surfing are defined according to the conditions and tides.
Hostel & Surfcamp 55 has qualified surf instructors for each level and you can also add on the photo and video analysis as extras. During this surf camp, you are entitled to surf lessons, insurance, surfing equipment, and transportation to and from the beach. The surf lessons are always in small groups and have a maximum of eight students per teacher. Please note that in the first surf lesson, the coach is going to analyze your level and propose the surfing plan objectives for the next few days.
Locatie
The camp will take place in Ericeira, Lisboa Region, Portugal. Ericeira is one of the most beautiful and coziest places in Portugal, just near the capital, Lisbon. Ericeira is a fishermen's village and a world-class surfing reserve that provides waves and surf spots for all levels within a very short distance, be ready to be amazed. Ericeira was distinguished in 2011 as the first world surfing reserve in Europe.
That distinction was given by the world organization, Save the Waves, responsible for a program created to protect waves all over the world. The reserve stretches for four kilometers, from the Empa Beach to São Lourenço. There are all in all seven world-class waves on that stretch: Pedra Branca, Reef, Ribeira d’Ilhas, Cave, Crazy Left, Coxos, and São Lourenço.

Driving directions from Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS)
- Go by E1 (750 meters or 1 minute).
- Go by A8 and A21 (42.6 kilometers or 26 minutes).
- Go by N116 and N247 to street Dr. Eduardo Burnay (1.7 kilometers or 3 minutes).
- On the roundabout, get out on the 4th exit to N116 (1 kilometer).
- Turn left to the street of Bombeiros Voluntários or N247.
- Go straight ahead N247 (700 meters).
- Take a hard turn on the right to Dr. Eduardo Burnay street.
- The hostel is on the right, a white, grey, and wine-colored building.
Arrival by airplane
Please arrange your flight to arrive at Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS). At the airport, the meeting point is Starbucks. Hostel and Surfcamp 55 will call or text you once they have arrived. There will be with the van or car outside, in front of the exit door at Starbucks waiting for you. Please send your flight number, arrival time, and mobile number to the crew so they can organize it. Please also note that there is an extra charge of 10 EUR for transfers between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
Arrival by bus
At the airport, catch the bus or subway to the Campo Grande station. In Campo Grande, get on the bus to Ericeira. Ericeira is the last stop. When you arrive at Ericeira's bus station, walk down in the direction of the village and turn on the left when you see a roundabout near "Continente" supermarket.
You will pass by self-service laundry and have to walk around 10 more minutes from then. Hostel 55 (a white, grey, and wine-colored building with the quote "Live the artistic experience!" on the wall) is located next to a viewpoint in front of Praia do Sul and at five minutes walking distance from the center of the village and just in front of the beach.
