Aldo, Sarah and all the staff made me feel so at home. They run everything with such love, passion and enthusiasm, it's as if they've just started out... and it's infectious. They always go the extra distance and I felt so at home. Thanks for eveything guys. Like my friend Arnie... I'll be back!

There’s a reason people have been returning to Sarah’s and Aldo’s for more than 15 years, and now I get it. Sure there’s a nice lodge with great food, first class yoga, and unparalleled surf coaching but what makes this place second to none is the people. Frankly, you won’t want to leave. Save yourself the time and stress of searching for the perfect retreat because you just found it.

Nous avons passé un séjour incroyable entre copines. Le lodge est tres confortable. Nous avons beaucoup aimé l’ambiance ! Et les cours de surf et yoga étaient géniaux. Le massage est la cerise sur le gâteau.

Honestly hard to know where to begin. I loved everything. Aldo and Sarah are so warm and friendly and make you feel immediately welcome. The lodge is homely and comfortable and always clean and the area is beautiful. The food is absolutely amazing - Sarah and Aldo’s barbecue night was definitely a highlight! And the restaurants you go to as part of the package are really good as well. Plus lots of choice for breakfast and packed lunches. The surfing was incredible. Aldo is such a helpful instructor and his team are also amazing. I’m intermediate level and they really helped me choose waves, pushed me into them when I needed and gave great feedback on all the elements of my surfing, so that by the end of the week we had mostly ironed out problems with my pop up and I was focusing on my turns. Video/photo analysis extremely helpful, as was the theory class. And then the yoga with Simone was so beautiful. I really recommend this package as it works so well together with surfing. Simone has such a warm and gentle energy and her yoga really focuses on the areas you need to release after surfing. It’s either morning for more of a flow class or afternoon for more of a restorative class and it meant my body felt good and strong all week. And the massage was also great! I’ll definitely be back.

Aldo and Sarah are amazing people. They are so helpful, kind, always smiling.

The lodge is perfect, clean, quiet and everybody was so friendly. Especially instructors Aldo, Gregor, Ibon and Lorenzo are instructive, helpful, energetic, motivating all the time. And also Simona, the yoga instructor, is so kind, friendly and knows what she’s doing.

I had such an amazing week! Sarah is the most amazing host, so kind and made us all feel like we were a family! The surf lessons were amazing and all the instructors were so supportive of a newbie! Definately will be coming back as son. As I can xx

I had such an amazing week, really. The atmosphere in the surflodge was really nice. The surf coaches Aldo, Ibon, and Lorenzo were super nice, the teaching perfect. Beyond the delicious meals there is good food available on the surflodge at any time, which was perfect for me. Yoga with Lauren was really nice, too. And the massage? Awesome!

Amazing hosts Sarah and Aldo! Excellent atmosphere at the lodge so everybody feels a part of big family. Friendly and helpful volunteers. Convenient schedule to suit everybody. Surfing instructors really love their job and ensure everybody progresses.

I had an exceptionally great time with Sarah and Aldo and their lovely team, filled with such a positive energy, laughs, love, sun, fun, waves (!) and OMG amaaazing food !!! House is super clean and cozy, beds were very comfy, again: food was amazing, always with vegetarian and vegan options, you could never go hungry! The optional yoga sessions were super fun and relaxing and adjusted to personal needs. I also booked the optional massage and it was just the perfect cherry on top after hours of surfing. Great work from Lauren there! Also the surfing itself was great! Easy transport, different beaches, tons of times in the water and at the beach, small groups based on experience/levels, instructors always have an eye on you and give very helpful feedback and support and all of them are very friendly and motivating! I can - obviously - only recommend to stay with the Arrifana Surflounge and just as everyone else who spent their holidays there once, I will definitely visit them again asap :)

Eine Woche bei Sarah und Aldo zu verbringen war die beste Entscheidung des Sommers. Die Lodge ist liebevoll eingerichtet, es fehlt einem an nichts. Das Essen war sehr lecker, auch an Veganer und Vegetarier wurde stets gedacht und selbst Extrawünsche waren kein Problem.

Nach einer Woche in der Lodge fühlt es sich an, als hätte man ein zweites zu Hause gefunden.

Einen riesigen Dank auch an die Surflehrer Ibon, Gregor und Lorenzo, die stets geduldig mit mir waren und immer einen lustigen Spruch auf den Lippen hatten, um einen aufzubauen. Dank den dreien kann auch der unsportlichste Mensch wie ich surfen lernen.

Das Yoga war perfekt zur Entspannung nach den Sessions und die Massage ein Traum. Vielen Dank Lauren und Simona, die stets sehr einfühlsam auf die Bedürfnisse der Klasse eingegangen sind.

Alles in allem war es einer der schönsten Urlaube, die ich je erleben durfte.

The food is amazing, Aldo and Sarah are so lovely and also the surf is very good. You can improve so much and it is just fun to be there at all. I love(d) it and I will for sure come back!

This was my first time surfing so I didn’t know what to expect, and I am so happy I went to Aldo’s and Sarah’s place. They are the friendliest hosts, I felt at home right from the start.

I went for a place with food included mainly for the convenience of it, but the food was AMAZING! Very diverse, always more than enough and always super tasty.

Surfing itself was also great. All instructors really know their stuff, are very supportive and relaxed all the time. They give you personal tips and pointers on how to improve all the time. Felt perfectly safe and supported at all times, we had great fun. Even as a complete beginner you see results pretty quickly.

Yoga classes were also great, very calm and relaxed and perfectly adapted to the intensity of surfing every day. Lauren is the friendliest person alive and really listens to what you need and adapting the program accordingly. Hey Magee was the best massage I ever had, hands down.

I can only recommend them. If you surf in the Algarve, this is the place!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Wir waren bestens mit Essen und Trinken versorgt. Die Gastgeber der Surf Lodge sind wunderbare Menschen, sie haben sich super um uns gekümmert und wir hatten tolle und lustige Gespräche.

Unsere Surflehrer Antonio und Aldo waren sehr nett und wir konnten viel von ihnen lernen.

Mein Freund und ich können die Surf Lodge nur empfehlen!

Everything was perfect from beginning until time to say goodbye.

All teachers are realy kind and patiently. They are very effort to teach how to surf but with a lot of fun.

Also the guys from the Lodge are realy nice. It‘s a familiar atmosphere there so you can feel soon like home. It was a great experience and we surely come back in future.

I literally liked everything: surfing lessons, yoga, massage, food, atmosphere in the house! I am sure I will go there again. :-)

Surfing and yoga was a great combination and being in the ocean all day was truly relaxing. Coming home everyday to a lovely dinner and having the best team of instructors and volunteers made it a great and relaxing vacation.

Ambiance extra, nourriture plus que délicieuse et copieuse, hébergement au top, emplacement parfait, rapport qualité prix rien à dire.

Tout est super bien organisé.

Relaxed atmosphere, clean house full of warm and welcoming people. Great surf instructors who are very professional and positive. Excellent yoga classes to relax from the surf.

The lodge has everything you need! Amazing food, a nice bed and very good and nice surfinstructors. The diversity of visitors makes it a lot of fun too. Sarah and Aldo, are such nice people, they litterly do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. No bad words for this surf lodge. I will deffinetly come back!
